Happy Turkey Day!

Here, turkey, turkey, turkey…

Today is the day we give thanks while trying to OD on tryptophane and, well, everything else at hand.

Now, His Imperial Majesty knows full well that we may not be in the most thankful mood after November 6th, but we still have a lot to be thankful for.

For one thing, while we’re headed in that direction, we’re still NOT Greece.

For another, even though we’ve taken a kick to the nuts, WE still haven’t changed. Our principles are still the same, our belief in our own principles are still as strong as ever (nothing hones the mind quite as much as the spectre of imminent disaster), we still know that we’re right and the proof is already pouring in.

We predicted that the re-selection of Braaarrgghhh Hussein the BlightBringer would mean shit hitting the fan like crazy in our economy. We were right. We didn’t even have to wait for proof that we were right, the economy went down like a Dauntless on a final bombing run literally the day after the leftist swine had won his empty victory. DOW tanking, hundreds of thousands of jobs ceasing to exist, the leftist swine union allies of his murdering an American icon, millions of Americans, the ones lucky enough to still have a job in this Workers’ Utopia, realizing that their health premiums, if they still had a plan at all, had gone up by anywhere from 15-30%, all of it overnight. Literally.

Talk about a massive hangover. And we should be thankful for that. The death we see in Europe is the result of a gradual slide downhill over decades, the temperature being turned up too slowly for the doomed frog to notice until it was too late. We’re seeing a cataclysmic, immediate collapse so obviously tied to the election results that it can’t be explained away as “coincidental.” Cause and correlation are tied together here, even an infant can see that, all of the howling from the Democrat leftist swine that “businesses are killing themselves just to spite the BlightBringer” notwithstanding.

For four years businesses sat tight, limiting the impact in hopes that the problem would self-correct in 2012 so they could get back to business, which only served to help the socialist Democrats in their narrative that “things weren’t all that bad.” Then November 6th happened and they had to face the cold reality of another four years of the same, which businesses cannot hope to survive. So they did what they had to do, and the effects have been immediate.

Communist cunts like the bitch in the post below, carefully selected by the Ogabe Politburo, can howl and screech as much as they want about small businesses not being hurt, it’s not going to convince the millions of Americans who suddenly find themselves out of a job or cut down to part time. The communists went over the cliff already, and everybody feels it, no matter how much they may have deluded themselves over the last four years.

Things weren’t really all that bad, but that was only because the free market was doing its damndest to hang in there, expecting the usual turnaround. The turnaround didn’t happen, so now the Titanic hits the iceberg.

We should be thankful, odd as that sounds, that the collapse is happening that quickly, because that is the only way that it will become apparent to the voters at large that this shit doesn’t really work. We should be thankful that it happens before the socialist Democrat swine managed to disarm us, which was their biggest mistake. That’s the first step you need to accomplish. They’re now “ruling” over hundreds of millions of very, very angry peasants armed with stuff a fuckload more impressive than muskets.

They went too fast, intoxicated by their own temporary success. This is their undoing, this is our salvation and for that we should be thankful.

And, on a purely unpolitical note, Thanksgiving is about as American as anything gets. It’s an orgy of indulgence, a big fat “in your face” to the ruling class trying to order us to accept moderation because they say so, it’s a revolt against the food Nazis of Moochelle Antoinette, telling them that we don’t give a flying fuck. Take your tofurkey an shove it.

It is your patriotic duty on this day to celebrate, indulge, go nuts and feel good about it, because we’re still the best damn people that ever set foot on this disgusting dirtball of a planet.

Now go PARTY!

Thatisall.

I spent it with my mother-in-law and Marys brother. The missing father and sister. Yet the meal was good, very good. As usual I sneaked back later and did all the dishes, stashed the leftovers. Even my left wing brother-in-law now has big cracks in support for bambi. The gun ban, he is a vet. I intend to gently widen them, mentioning a college in Pennsylvania now reducing many positions to twenty-five hours a week due to obamacare. One even intelligent to mention how is he going to pay for forced care with reduced hours? No shit, sherlock! You can bet most of these fools contributed to his campaign. One said to go union, another said remember Hostess. I am wondering how long the left can keep running cover for this.
I am laughing my ass off, fully expecting massive economic upheavals. I just didn’t expect it this fast….
    Meantime I keep prepping……

I hear ya cave. But sadly, the INDIVIDUAL MANDATE in 2014 is only $95. They will still get coverage, they may even come out ahead with a $95 cost , coverage as before, yet reduced hours. The act is truly insidious only to employers

Americans are bracing for chaos in their holiday travel and shopping this week, as labor unions are planning strikes and protests across areas of the country that are likely to cause major troubles during one of the busiest weeks of the year. The SEIU shut down traffic at the Los Angeles airport on Thanksgiving eve and a union-backed advocacy group plans to protest Walmart on Black Friday. And now, reports of worker strikes at West coast ports predict resulting snarls in the supply chain, disrupting deliveries of everything from food to gifts, just in time for the holidays.

Longshore union members at ports in Portland, Oregon and Los Angeles and Long Beach, California are expected to strike during the holiday week over unsettled contract negotiations between workers and the various international shipping companies that employ them. Effected union members include marine terminal security guards, office and clerical workers, and custodial and maintenance workers. While dockworkers aren’t necessarily part of those strikes, such workers may also refuse to cross picket lines in solidarity with other union members, as was already the case in California. Major carriers are planning to divert freighters from the Port of Portland in advance of a strike planned for Sunday.

For Fourth Straight Year, Obama’s Thanksgiving Message Doesn’t Thank God

Yet again, President Obama’s Thanksgiving message eschewed any direct reference to thanking God, making this the fourth straight year in which the President of the United States has ignored the central message of the holiday in favor of political grandstanding.

This year, Obama’s central message was that now that he’s been re-elected, Americans should agree with all of his policies. His unity routine sounds strangely empty after a campaign in which he focused on dividing Americans:

But most of all, it’s a time to give thanks for each other, and for the incredible bounty we enjoy.

That’s especially important this year. As a nation, we’ve just emerged from a campaign season that was passionate, noisy, and vital to our democracy. But it also required us to make choices – and sometimes those choices led us to focus on what sets us apart instead of what ties us together; on what candidate we support instead of what country we belong to ….

We’re also grateful that this country has always been home to Americans who see these blessings not simply as gifts to enjoy, but as opportunities to give back. Americans who believe we have a responsibility to look out for those less fortunate – to pull each other up and move forward together.

How are we supposed to move forward together, you ask? Why, with greater government spending, of course!

As for God, here was the only mention – as a throwaway line in a hackneyed aphorism, used constantly by this president for communitarian sloganeering:

As Americans, we are a bold, generous, big-hearted people. When our brothers and sisters are in need, we roll up our sleeves and get to work – not for the recognition or the reward, but because it’s the right thing to do. Because there but for the grace of God go I. And because here in America, we rise or fall together, as one nation and one people.

No mention of thanking God. None.

But, of course, we’re used to this. In 2011, there was no mention of God at all. In 2010, Obama was closer, but still missed the mark (“we’ll spend some time taking stock of what we’re thankful for: the God-given bounty of America, and the blessings of one another”). In 2009, Obama didn’t thank God, either.

It’s no wonder that this President’s Democratic National Committee platform tried to remove God. He’s not a big fan of the Big Guy. Even on Thanksgiving. After all, what need do you have for God when you’ve got the state?

LC Gladiator @ # 5: And this is really going to make the American public go all out to support that union movement, don’t you think?

LC Moriarty @ # 7: Aye! Well said, fellow Rottie.

LC R6 @ # 8: Get well, brother. We’ll still be here when you get cleaned up.

All in all, not a bad day today. Tomorrow to the range to get some things zeroed.

29yrs of sobriety here, and the Irish in me still wants a taste. For me, I had to keep it simple. I have reason to believe our Creator leads us to answers when we ask for help. I know for a fact, people are brought into our lives ( and removed) when we get those answers.
Buck up kid, you are about to embark on a journey that will change your character and how you feel about yourself.

I interact with between 7-70 people a day. For some of you. it is safe to say that number is much greater.
Tell them that what you know in your heart is true…America needs them to bring down the elitists throughout the whole two party political system.

I have never been more ashamed.

From great shame comes the motivation and energy needed to make great changes!

We are all weak, in one way or another, and often it takes a big kick in the arse for us to admit it and to do something about it. Because as long as things just keep humming along, there’s really no need, is there?

Whenever you think about that incident and the shame that followed, think also of what trajectory your life might have followed if you hadn’t been pulled back from the brink.

    Yours in prayers.

We all have that moment of shame burned into our psyches……I have several. And when I felt that sensation, I ruthlessly played that tape in my mind…all of it. And it only gets worse if one goes back out, for this sickness of the soul is only placed on hold. No one in twenty-two years has ever heard me say I have beaten alcohol. And no one ever will……….for I haven’t. But now the blessing in sobriety is a lifestyle for me now…I automatically deal with such thoughts instinctively..
And I know gratitude….for a grateful man cannot remain resentful, a mortal enemy of any alcoholic.
For I should have been dead at thirty-eight years of age, leaving behind unimaginable emotional carnage in my wake…..
So I owned my own shit……….for you will know anger, rage, frustration and an enormous sense of loss….
And as a gift I have become a far better man than I ever dreamed of being……….
And so can you…don’t ever forget those thirty floors….
Don’t try to prove anything to anybody, time speaks loud and clear….
You have many, many rotties here loving you and wishing you well…..for we knew the battle too…
And we will be the hardest people on earth to bullshit regarding this subject………
And just for today, we are victorious in sobriety and all its gifts….we have centuries of sobriety you can share for the asking……
I never would have met the rotties, the finest group of people I have ever known………
Like me being there for Mary when she needed me the most, any other course would have damned my soul to hell….
That is just one of many gifts…….I still thank God every day……
