Brrrarrghhh Hussein OBunghole’s State Dept. Refuses to Condemn Turkey Calling Israel a “Terrorist State.”

We were, as we mentioned, a bit confused when we heard that the BlightBringer’s pro-Islamist misadministration had muttered words sounding remarkably like “Israel has a right to defend herself” because it was so out of character. After all, pretty much every single one, and by saying that we mean “actually every single one”, of resident-select BlightBringer’s islamist allies in the “Arab Spring” had openly condemned every single move that Israel had made to keep her civilians from being indiscriminately murdered by Hamas, so what’s with the pivot?

But now they’re back to their old games. When Victoria Nuland of the State Dept. was pressed to condemn Turkey’s prime minister’s designation of Israel as a “terrorist state” for daring to defend herself against mass murder, she did everything short of walking off for a game of golf to avoid even dignifying the question with an answer.

It’s a really simple question, if you ask His Imperial Majesty. “Do you object to a NATO ‘ally’ calling another actual ally terrorists for daring to defend themselves, yes or no?”

And we would have thought, based on the Hussein misadministration’s stubborn policy to forcefully denounce any use of the word “terrorism” — mass murder on U.S. military bases are “workplace violence” incidents, a coordinated al-Qaeda invasion of U.S. soil and the murder of one of our ambassadors is “a protest against a YouTube video gone tragically bad” etc. — that denouncing any use of the word “terrorist” would be pretty instinctive to the treasonous, lying bunch of maggots.

But obviously that rule only applies to calling any action by muslims “terrorism.”

Glad you cleared that up, you snatch-maggots.

But don’t feel bad, morons who voted for the BlightBringer because he looked darling in a bomber jacket, you still got free condoms and ObamaPhones so, hey, why so serious?

Thatisall.

Given that Turkey’s a part of NATO, it’s going to be tough to openly condemn them. It’s like being asked to call your girlfriend’s cat an asshole. Even if it is, you can’t really say so without getting an awful lot of headaches in return.

It’s not like Erdogan shat himself in public three minutes ago. There are plenty of back channels to bitch slap him which have, obviously, either not been used or had no effect. It is high time to re-evaluate our relationship with Turkey. They were useful during the Cold War. Not so much now. They need to prove themselves useful to us again or be thrown out.

The world changes. Obviously our foreign policy has a problem changing with it.

The most egregious example was when the Soviet Union collapsed and we decided to choose China over a potential ally because, hey, they used to be Soviets. Never fucking mind that they threw off that yoke at great risk to themselves whereas the only thing the Butchers in Beijing are notable for is being the one big power in the world who has ever confronted us in a HOT war.

Korea. Have you heard of it?

But we went with the Wal*Mart suppliers of cheap goods over an emerging ally that we could have bonded with and sat on top of the world with for the rest of eternity. We spent all of the Cold War urging the Russians to kick the commies to the curb and then, when they did so in an armed insurrection, we relegated them to prison bitch loser status because welcoming them into our arms would have “complicated” our relationship with the communist shit hole of China.

If it comes to a conflict with Russia, I know where I stand. My nation, right or wrong, but I really can’t feel all that righteously indignant about Russia being a bit resentful of us now. We spent decades trying to get the Russians to get rid of the Soviets and, when they DID, we still favored the fucking commie shits in Beijing who never lifted a finger to get rid of THEIR assholes.

That’s what “convenience over principle” gets you.

It’s about fucking time that we rediscover principle, or we will have deserved every fucking bit of the shit storm that is about to land upon us.

    Dearest Emperor:

During the beginning of the wholesale Exodus to Riceland by our manufacturing base by our “undoubtedly patriotic” executives, I recall a fuss caused by the request of UNOCAL to drill a few wells in the former operational area of our Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club and the fucking stink it caused here at home. Affirmed was the fact our business didn’t give a damn re: where its money came from but most troubling was the message sent basically said a resounding “Fuck You” to the owners of 58,000+ names that would eventually end up on a granite wall in DC. After that incident, it became apparent to me we hadn’t been in ‘Nam to protect French rubber plantations from the commies after all, as all had been told, along with some lame excuse about being duty-bound to help out a NATO buddy.

Oil and cheap labor for the up and coming outfit that turned into the “Facist States of America” of today – don’t forget the still-commie Vietnam is also a preferred trading patner of ours now. This was done under the label “Fighting for Freedom” but the bottom line was just that – the bottom line – profits.

9/11 was next, providing an excuse to get into Asscrackistan and secure what shuttle recon deemed to be a shitload of mineral wealth, there for the taking. After all, why was Russia there before us? Fighting for their freedom also, I assume – right? … or did the Cossacks suddenly take a liking to camels?

Next came Iraq and the Revenue Sharing Agreements.

It’s not that I don’t support our troops – I do – been there, done that, got spit on upon return – it’s rather unnerving, to say the least and very confusing since one believes, at that tender young age, the bullshit the leadership sends a-flying. It’s even more troubling when the entire picture begins to come into focus, watching my country shitting on “friends” for corporate profits and, undoubtedly, political “donations” to kinda grease the wheels and help things along.

Favoring Beijing is like harnessing the labor of Army Ants but on a larger scale and rather cheaply at that. Who needs to support a relatively democratic government when cheaper labor is available?

Thanks to the magic of human nature (and the force of law), greed has become the only guiding principle of business in the United States and that human foible will cause the eventual downfall of our country and society. This isn’t about Democrats vs: Republicans anymore as there’s really no difference. Both sides realize that unless the people are tightly controlled, they’ll eventually be displaced – our government is learning from the ChiComs (and now Chicago).

Agreed – it is time we rediscovered principle. Unfortunately, it’ll never happen unless a dollar value can be assigned, the IRS provides write-offs for it and an office opens in the Phillipines to administer same.

The difference between Self-Interest (which is good) and Greed (which isn’t) is foresight. A person or organization thinking in their own self-interest will consider that, in the future, if we stand behind Allies, they will stand behind us. If we don’t rip off our customers, they’ll come back to us in the future.

Today’s politicians think in very different terms. They think in short-term payoffs, and figure they can use a stick to beat you into obedience in the future. China is a case in point. Automation and computer technology has advanced to the point that we have 3D printing available for cheap plastic crap and simpler components. I’m actually a hobbyist involved in this technology, and it’s amazing stuff. The equipment is expensive, but ultimately NO labor is cheaper than even Chinese labor. So why are we still sending this work to Third World toilets? Because they don’t want to invest money in something that will result in more long-term profits, but short-term costs. They want immediate gratification, they have no foresight. So having Chinese kids make it looks better to them. Our government thinks the same way. They don’t care if bankruptcy and insolvency lies in our long-term future, they want short-term payoffs NOW.

A lot of people think Government is better than large corporations, or vice-versa. But ultimately, I don’t see a lot of difference between the two, in most cases. Gigantic, monolithic bureaucracies hold us hostage to their shortsightedness and inefficiency. They also feed off each other. A General Motors can take risks a Small Business can’t, because they can always get a Government bailout if things go bad. And Government isn’t even beholden to make a profit. They can lose money hand over fist, and nobody seems to give a shit.

After all, they can always hold you at gunpoint later, right?

Turkey once was held out as the most modern of western Muslim states, with a secular government that the vast majority of Islamic inhabitants were unwilling to see become radicalized, like much of the Arab world around them. Content with a privately expressed faith, the nation built a strong economy and was a good friend to many and a great friend to a few, like the U.S..

Unfortunately, this is changing rapidly, as Islam becomes increasingly militant and activist across the globe. This change is transforming politics in Turkey, and bilateral relations between Israel and Turkey have been in steep decline.

As the United States has shown increasing weakness in foreign affairs over these last four years, with no prospect in a change in our dithering for another four, it is no real surprise to see this statement from Turkey. We have no leadership to contend with this problem, and it will only become worse from here. We are in the midst of a strong rise in antisemitism again, here and in Europe, and this coupled with fearful and ignorant leaders intent on placating radical Islamists will add to the instability.

Elections have consequences. We knew this election would have unprecedented consequences. Welcome to the new future.

Turkey has always had a veneer of secularism over top a strong Islamic background. Part of my family came from Armenia (then under the control of Turkey), and my grandfather left Turkey just before the wave of mass-arrests and slaughtering of Christians began there in World War I. I can tell you that nothing has really changed under the surface. Kemal Ataturk (a name he bestowed on himself) tried to modernize Turkey, to bring it up to par with the Western powers, but like the Young Turks before him during the waning days of the Ottoman Empire… it only partially succeeded. The only silver lining is that the Turkish military is the bastion of secularism in the country, and that has, so far, kept it from sliding completely into the madness which the rest of the Islamic world has fallen into. But Turkey’s civilian government is about as bad as it gets, right now.

You have to remember that Turkey was, until a century ago, the preeminent power in the Muslim world, and the Caliphate was effectively an arm of the Ottoman government. There’s a memory of that empire still in the Turkish people, and I suspect it’s a much stronger memory than that of a single secularist who was, essentially, trying to fight his own religion.

Agreed. We should have given them the Fredo-kiss after they stiffed us in 2003 on the Iraq invasion. It’s probably also fair to say that NATO (Not Able To Organize / No Action, Talk Only) has far outlived its usefulness, also. Unfortunately, our elites have forgotten their Palmerston and replaced permanent interests with permanent allies and enemies.

Regarding Russia, I’ve always suspected, at least in part, that because of the political bent of many of our governing class, we sidled up to China and ditched Russia precisely because Russia betrayed the Revolution, whilst China has stayed true (at least ostensibly). Our Left likes its Communists practicing, thankyouverymuch.

True, but international politics have always been about convenience over principal. Hell, just look at WWII – to beat the admitted asshole Hitler, we went and allied with the only asshole who was worse – Stalin (who, in addition to being a genocidal tyrant, was also head and long term member of a government that had been actively seeking to subvert our own government for decades prior to the war). That takes some doing. The PTO was about the same, too – supporting (at least in part) Mao over Tojo. The world probably would be a better place had we simply taken the lot of them down. It is what it is, however.

Consider also how many times it has been said that some fill-in-the-blank national leader “may be a son of a bitch, but he’s OUR son of a bitch”. I get why we did/do it – at least most of the time – but that doesn’t make it any less depressing.

Thank our brilliant “allies” in the EU for that one – they forced Turkey to change its constitution to remove military protections for the secular government as a pre-condition for possible admission.

I agree fully with what you just said there. Sometimes there is a very fine line you have to walk between two very important allies, and I am sure that Israel fully understands that line.

Another thing that has to be taken into consideration here — who was Turkey’s audience in this statement? They, too have some fine lines that they have to walk — that is part of the diplomatic dance, and why many here would turn this planet into a smoldering cinder ball if they were in charge of diplomacy and foreign affairs.

Make no mistake, our nation doesn’t have to respond, agree, disagree or condemn the statements of other nations if there is no real need to. Like I said, Israel probably doesn’t feel any pain over what was said, and understands why we don’t have to create an international event over some really stupid comments.

Very true. Just missing one point, or at least I’d like to add the point myself, lest I come off as some “the perfect is the enemy of the good” idealistic, head in the cloud naif unaware of the reality of Realpolitik, in that particular case we got something out of it and it was the best deal on the table. We got a useful ally who could gobble up ENORMOUS amounts of the still very much effective German war machine which would have beat us seven ways from Sunday if they’d been able to concentrate their forces on our fronts. Normandy would have been a pipe dream without the Russian hordes tying up the vast majority of the Wehrmacht. Heck, Torch would have been one too.

When the shit was over, on the other hand, I find myself very much in agreement with Patton and his belief that we should have fucking crushed the already weakened commies to a bleeding pulp to avoid the inevitable next fight. He and Churchill were right. Crushing the Nazis was only the first step. But we didn’t listen, and I do understand that people were tired of war after all of the bloody sacrifices, so don’t get me wrong, and so we ended up with 45 years of Cold War.

But, again, because we didn’t finish the job, we ended up kicking the can down the road. Can you imagine the world we’d be living in today if socialism had been dealt a death blow in, say, 1948? Don’t just think about the lack of a Cold War, the absence of a Beijing Butcher cartel and no Korea and ‘Nam, think about the parasite leftists in this country never ever coming to power because their paymasters didn’t exist, there would have been nobody for the Democrats to commit treason with, the entire ideology would have been discredited, the Long March Through the Institutions would have never happened, feel free to add on.

We didn’t fail by allying ourselves with that beast Stalin, we failed by NOT destroying him when he’d outlived his usefulness.

Using convenience over principle by allying ourselves with one asshole over another wasn’t our failing, it was continuing to let him exist when he wasn’t convenient anymore.

Our history is full of similar examples.

Pakistan? We needed the fuckheads when we went into Ashcanistan. Once we’d broken the Taliban’s toys and sent Obama-sama into hiding, they weren’t useful anymore, yet we stuck with them.

Libya? Khaddafi, that swine, has a lot to answer for in Hell, but he became our little puppy dog once we kicked Saddam, Obama’s fellow Hussein, to the curb. He gave up his terrorist habits, he dropped his nuclear program and he became our informer behind enemy lines on what al Qaeda was up to, yet the fucking BlightBringer, probably because he was pissed off at how Moammar was selling out Brraarff Obunghole’s pisslamic friends, decided to bump him off while he was still very, very useful to us.

Egypt? Hosni was a butthole, but he was useful. He kept Egypt under control and held our ally Israel’s flank for us. Brrrarrrfff Hussein, again, decided that he needed to be removed so his friends in the mooselimb Brotherhood could get a free hand.

See a pattern here? Because I sure as fuck do.

At this point, the asshole in the White House doesn’t need to be worried about Angry Bitter Clingers, he needs to be worried about the fucking Mossad, and it serves him the fuck right.

But I went off on a tangent. Back on point: There is nothing “wrong” with siding with assholes as long as it’s A) the best deal on the table and B) there’s something in it for us. Once B) is no longer in effect, you need to take the motherfucking bastards OUT.

And THAT is where we’ve failed.

We’re not dangerous unless acting in self defense, because our anger is based, to a large part, exactly on how far from our first principles this nation has been brought. One of those first principles is peaceful, fair, open elections where everybody has a fair shot and most definitely NOT the kind of banana republic that Brarrrrf Ogabe is trying to transform us into.

Therefore, you will never see a true patriot advocating for the assassination of a politician merely because we disagree with him, because that way madness lies.

Remember anybody around here cheering for the bastard nut who shot Gabby Giffords? I don’t either.

Once that precedent, that murder over political differences is OK, has been set, we’re two steps away from being Egypt. Oh, by the way, how’s the BlightBringer’s majestic accomplishments for democracy in the Arab Spring coming along, now that Morsi has made himself dictator for as long as he wants (meaning “life’)?

    Hmm?

But not all people are like that. Of course, we know that we’ll be blamed, but that’s a given no matter what might come to pass. We’re used to that. There is nothing that we’re not blamed for. We’re not the dangerous ones. There are others who are.

    (how does one “enjoy” politics?)

ONCE one recognizes how “politics” cripples our children, it becomes EASY

    Except for liberal MORONS

Why don’t YOU? How long have you been trying to get me to leave?

That made no sense at all. Are you telling me that you “enjoy” politics when it cripples our children?

For cryin’ out loud, Gladiator, do we have to go through this, AGAIN???? He’s not leaving. Period.

Not sure about enjoying politics, per se, but I enjoy the discussion of it, for the most part, until it turns into name-calling, and one side storms off in a huff because they are always right, and the other side won’t agree…

There are many ways to see most things, and no one has the right answer to everything, (not even YOU, DJ. 8-P).

I can agree 100 percent with that statement, Skye. I don’t ever remember claiming that I had all the answers. But I like to think I do, just as every one of us.

That does get to be a bit tedious, doesn’t it? When you have to resort to name-calling, you’ve lost the debate. If that is the opening, it means that there was nothing to begin with. it is an age-old rule of debate and argument.

One of the most famous debates in American history was the Lincoln-Douglas debate. Can you imagine either Lincoln or Douglass calling the other a “poopy pants”?

Oh, I will be taking longer breaks now. Perhaps you noticed my absence for several weeks just recently? I am only coming here now when I am on a hiatus from my real life gig. (they call that the holiday season — that irritating 45 day period at the end of the year where no work can get done, but everyone is spending more money than they have to impress their friends and family with gifts and commitments. Bah Humbug, indeed.

But me leaving because Gladiator wants me to?

Oh, and Glad, I “cordially” invite you to come to my Facebook page and see what I am really about. You will see that I actually love to have fun and to hell with the rest of this bullshit.

I’ll bet I can make you laugh your ass off.

Honestly, you NEED to find another gig besides all of this acidic political bullshit. Some other place to release your tension. I find music is that release and sarcasm and humor a close second. It is the antidote to the rest of this crap.

If you take ANY of this political shit seriously, you will die young.

I hate to admit it, but I actually like Deej. His politics sometimes suck like a shop-vac stuck firmly to an elephant’s bunghole, but he still seems like a decent sort. And it’s fun to argue with him. I’d miss the turdnugget if he left.
