Florida officials order partial recount in tight House race between Rep. West and Democratic challenger Murphy
“There are possible irregularities in St. Lucie County,” claims Jeffrey Scott Shapiro, a Florida lawyer volunteering for the West campaign who has been quoted on the issue. “On Sunday we’ll have a chance to recount the early votes and that’s a good start to preserving the integrity of the democratic process.”
Pray Col. West beats this and goes back to Congress because the mere fact that he’s there will give Boner no end of insomnia, nausea, gastric upset and chronic diarrhea.

Yep, the sheriff’s dept. are all pissy because West won the primary over Sheriff Crowder (moderate). Crowder was a good man, but a squishy conservative. No honor amongst some around here.

Lt Col West generated this recount because even though they gerrymandered the district against him, it was still close enough for a recount.
Of course, having over 70 thousand more votes cast than there were actually registered voters had nothing to do with it…

Considering that there were 247, 713 vote cards cast out of 175,554 registered voters, and most voters had to fill out 2 voting cards, and page 4 of the document that started this whole thing says there was 123, 591 votes cast, (which is around 70% of registered voters), I think it’s safe to say that it had nothing to do with it.
It doesn’t matter who votes; it matters who counts the votes. Dig back through our archives, some of us were pedicting this even before Gentleman Mitt ever got the nomination. But Gentlemen prefer to lose with grace. Even the hint of “conspiracy theorist” makes them spoil their undies.

I just Googled “precinct captain power” and came up with two sites that can explain this concept to you
Who is your precinct captain and The Precinct Project Blog. There are more, but these two were Right wing sites, so you might pay closer attention to them.
But it is a fact, getting involved at the precinct level can make a HUGE difference. If you think your “Country Club Republicans” aren’t working for you, then once you understand that they are there because of the existing members of your precincts, you can get involved and challenge those positions and take over. It is a ground game, and you have to actually get involved to win it.

It’s cheap, requires no maintenance, cheap to feed and you can teach a 10-year-old to use it in 15 minutes.
Downside is lack of accuracy, but if you’re late to the fight and just want to make a difference, the inaccuracy is already baked into your personal cake due to lack of training. You’re going to be just as inaccurate with a G3 or an FN-FAL, but you’ll have a shitload more money to spend on ammo.

The stories are legendary of what you can put an AK through and it will still work. As for Mishas’ comment on accuracy I disagree. You can still get hits on target at 300m with the a little skill, a little patience and moderate practice. Even with an off the shelf semi (ARs included) your not going to get 500m plus sniper kills consistently anyway unless you practice weekly and ammo ain’t cheap anymore to be burning a +100rds every week. The AK was designed to engage enemies at less than 200m without a lot of skill and in that way it is perfect for the job but again, with patience, skill and practice it will produce 3rd hits at center mass at 300-400m with the Mark One Eyeball.
But I still love the FN-FAL.
AK it is, for me, then. The only thing I regularly practice with is my trusty Mossberg 500 shottie. Ah the joys of a scattergun. Last time I was at the range, I was blowing away zombie targets with it, cackling like a madman. I must have went through 50 shells before I noticed everyone in the room thought I was insane.
Now, where to buy an AK in Tampa…
