So shall ye reap, so shall ye sow…

For those of you that believe that this is just a bump in the road for our Republic stop reading now because your part of the fucking problem and, to me, you’re the enemy.

When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic.  Ben Franklin

What we saw last night was the realization of Franklins’ warning and the end of the dream of the Founding Fathers.  They knew eventually we would end up killing each other in great big bunches and 1861 we did.  Since then we’ve managed to hold off another one but no longer.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.  Thomas Jefferson

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.  Thomas Jefferson

The Greatest Generation united us only to spit out millions of ungrateful little bastards who grew up to have an entitlement mentality and believe that they don’t need to earn what they have.  Those of you who are running around blaming Romney, GOP et al either don’t get it or are in fucking denial.  And don’t try to shovel your horseshit that the House will stop it.  Boner is going to stop Obongo just like Chamberlain stopped Hitler at Munich.  The EBT cards will run out, the checks will stop coming, the heat will be cut off, they will come for your guns, food and possessions and they will kill you and yours if you don’t submit.  The system now only supports conformity, silence and submission.

To all of you that voted for this;   So shall ye reap, so shall ye sow… And so you shall.  When you and your children are starving, freezing, have no place to live or shelter and you knock on my door you will turned away, by any means necessary.  I will not have pity for you or remorse for your children…none.  The sooner you’re purged and gone the better.  It won’t be in my lifetime because I consider myself already dead but if my children and my compatriots one day wake up again to the values that this country was founded upon the better.  But it won’t happen until all of you are gone.  The Romans understood that to have peace throughout the Empire their enemies not only had to be defeated but they had to be crushed and ground into the salted earth.  The same now holds.  The enemies must not only be defeated but ground into the salted earth so that their ideas never again sprout.

Bill Nye is right.  We all need to build tribe that support only themselves and those that share their values because when the shit storm breaks that will be the only thing that will save your ass.  The government is now both tyrannical and impotent. The new currency is going to be Beans, Bullets and Band Aids, buy all you can.

As for me I’m going to try to get back to South Dakota anyway I can because I now have zero opportunities in Virginia and what’s more this is going to be ground zero for the coming shit storm and anyone who stays is going to suffer privations not seen since the Dark Ages.

well OK then, I’m one of your enemies.

If you believe this to be the end, then your ignorance of our history and past dark times is alarming. This is a nation that survived a deep deep depression in 1837, a Civil War in 1860, another depression in 1929, and total defeat for the first six months of World War II. I will not run to some last bastion to hole up and await my fate musket in hand, I will not give up my ideaology or my faith in this country, I will not stop standing up for my beliefs and belief in the greatness of this country, I will work as hard as I can to make it the shining light that it was.

If you want to stop fighting to restore this nation and turn it over to the ninnie state slaves who voted in the majority last night, then your true enemy isn’t me or anyone else who doesn’t accept the death of this nation….your enemy is looking back at you from the mirror.

Hope I pissed you off Light, because you’re aiming at the wrong people…care to join me in the good fight?

belief in the greatness of this country

Was sold for 30 pieces of silver by a bunch faithless souls. This country is beyond redemption because it forsake it’s values for trinkets. The greatness will come back but only after a rapture that sweeps away all that has been corrupted. Sound Biblical? Our forefathers believed that only in Biblical faith could Biblical change actually (breaking with England) take place.

George Washington retreated to bastions to hole up and wait for opportunities to arise. Ours will be when the system collapses (it will) and we come out and rebuild America within the original intent of the Founders.

Faith in a society that has no faith is a fools run

Washington didn’t hole up, he had to keep moving….avoiding battle until he was strong enough to fight a good fight. HIs army wasn’t strong enough to go face to face with the British so he had to dodge and keep them chasing him instead. We’re strong enough, we just didn’t muster enough troops last night, and those that didn’t vote last night? they’re also your enemy.

I think we both agree, you just don’t like the way I said it. Oh well I ain’t Shakespeare.

But the fact remains. We have to withdraw to our Vally Forge, protect our own, build up and wait while the system melts and collapses. Only then will “change” be possible and anybody thinks that the system can be fixed, reformed or otherwise restored is a fool. The engine is blown and the only solution is to forge a new one and replace it in the car.

I prefer to think of it as looking over the stone wall on Cemetary Ridge and waiting for the inevitable attack. We have the high ground, morally, ideaologically, and I believe numerically…..it’s ours to win if we have the will

    .

Anyone who voted for either of the Obamneys is the enemy of liberty. Either way, you voted for a statist who openly and happily trumpeted their own disregard for the Constitution (healthcare and weapons being two obvious examples). The difference between Obama and Romney was only one of scale. Both advocated socialism and government control of peoples’ lives; Romney just advocated less. Rationalize it how ever you like – voting for the lesser of two evils, for example – but voting D or R was voting for more statism.

There hasn’t been a presidential candidate who held close to the founding principles of the nation, i.e., one actually worth voting for, for a long, long time.

I can’t completely get behind that. Yes Romney was a deeply flawed candidate, who in retrospect failed to give America a reason to vote for him, only reasons to vote against Obama. Had I seen last nights outcome I probably would have gone 3rd party to send a message to the GOP. However if we refuse to vote for anything but the perfect candidate we’ll in short order get someone who is even worse than the HellBeast we already have. Remember it took a long time to get to where we are today, it will take a long time to get us back. When an inch of progress is the best you can do, refusing to move that inch cause you want a foot is more than short-sighted. I will not go as far as to say it make you an enemy, but it does make you a tool of the enemy.

That thinking cuts both ways, though. By voting for a little bit of statism instead of a lot of statism, you’re still a tool of the enemy.

I fully accept that everyone has to make their own compromises in deciding which candidate they will vote for or not. For me, the line is this: have they supported something blatantly unconstitutional. If so, they’ll have a *very* hard time convincing me to vote for them. I might be willing to look past it if it was something they later admit was a mistake, but if they actually claim it as a point of pride, sorry – no sale.

Plus, in theory, at least – the American government draws its authority from the consent of the governed. The only way to withhold your consent is to withhold your vote. In the end, everyone has to make their own decision – I can understand that people chose to vote for Romney to try and stop Obama, but at the end of the day, they’ll still have to square the circle of voting for a statist to stop a statist.

Fortunately for me, I live in Soviet Monica, in the Democratic People’s Republic of California. I know my vote amounts to less than 1-1,000,000th of a gnat fart in a Category V hurricane.

Besides, the last guy who cast a meaningful vote for President was Lee Harvey Oswald, and look what happened to him. :em05:

So it’s only a matter of where and how we draw the line……. I can live with that. Especially considering that our lines ain’t that far apart.

Like I’ve said here tonight, if I would have had the foresight to see how last night was going to go I probably would have gone 3rd party for the message if nothing else. I got caught up in the NOTObama, Things are a bit more clear after the fact….. I don’t know exactly how I’ll change my political involvement, but I know it must change.

It’s looking more and more like the red state of South Carolina will have to show the way to secession once again unless, of course, our esteemed Brethren in the Lone Star state beat us to it this time. Notable residents of Pendleton, SC:

Samuel Augustus Maverick, firebrand Texas rancher and politician from whom the word “maverick” originated, was born in Pendleton.

Thomas Jefferson Rusk, early political and military leader of the Republic of Texas, serving as its first Secretary of War as well as a general at the Battle of San Jacinto.

Barnard Elliott Bee, Jr., born in Charleston, SC, 1824. He graduated West Point 1845, and as a Brigadier General, commanded the 3rd Brigade, Army of the Shenandoah, July 21, 1861, at Manassas, Va. He gave Gen. Thomas Jonathan Jackson the name “Stonewall.” Mortally wounded, Bee died July 22, 1861, and was buried in the family plot in St. Paul’s churchyard, Pendleton.

a popular bumper sticker in the Saluda area read, “Texas Starts Here.” Saluda County was, after all, birthplace and childhood home of two of the Alamo’s greatest heroes, William Barret Travis and James Butler Bonham.

Thus, South Carolina and Texas have intertwined history and should lead the next effort against tyranny.

I feel heartsick over this election; that so many of our fellow residents (I can’t call them “citizens”) voted for Ovomit is a terrible reflection on the sorry state of our citizenry.

My brother in law, in many respects an intelligent man, is an old lefty, 64 years old, from Charleston. He said Romney wasn’t qualified to be at the helm of the ship of state. I said, “WHAT makes you think Ovomit is QUALIFIED?” and he said, in the most serious tones, “A LIFE OF PUBLIC SERVICE.” Srsly. A life of public fucking service. I realized that my BIL is a congenital idiot on this subject, and worse, ineducable. Solid concrete from ear to ear and doesn’t even know it.

He and my niece had agreed beforehand not to talk about politics over dinner (I’m visiting from out of town), which is good. It sickens me to think they’d vote for this piece of shit.

Re third parties: I agree that the repubs aren’t getting the job done, but the way to go is to stage a palace revolution and take over their apparatus from within. And really get fucking serious about that. The Leftist shits are despicable and in many ways evil, but they excell at that sort of thing, and there are some ways that we can take a leaf from that book. They took over the old Democratic Party from within.

We have a long road ahead. Someone said “there’s a lot of ruin in a nation,” and I think that goes double for the US. It will take us a lot longer than Greece or the USSR to fall apart in the communists’ hands. We here may not live to see it happen. But we can make their lives as miserable as possible and oppose them at every turn — fight them fang and claw before we let them carry off our nation.
