I Think We Have A Winner !!

I do think we have a winner for the vilest ad in the Election 2012 campaign.

We all know that historians will paint this election as one of the dirtiest in history (assuming the historians aren’t proggies), and we’ve seem some astounding smears, false allegations and you name it from the left, to save their boy from a humiliating defeat next week. Tax returns, murdered spouses, animal cruelty are all apparently legitimate in our newly ‘civil’ political discourse. Just when we think the left has finally reached it’s maximum derangement factor something comes along even more astoundingly vile and outright vicious, and that’s the case here. The vilemaster, lying-cocksucker, socialist-blowing, commie-friendly, bag-of-pus known as Michael Moore(on) academy award winning prevaricator and all-around disgusting human being stoops so low that antediluvian fossils are miles above him with this:
YouTube Preview Image

Perhaps Moore should consider himself a real senior-abuser paying those folks to spout those lies and invective, and they are the ones running ads pushing granny over the cliff. The concept of irony is entirely lost on the left.

The anger here over the (outstanding) chance that Ogabe is going to lose is very telling. The left will NOT be able to accept a Romney win. We need to be ready for anything post-election with a Republican victory, that seems more likely every day.

Let’s “Keep up the skeer on ‘em” Rotties, just a few more days until the sun shines again on liberty in our beloved Republic. They’re coming unglued and melting down, this outta’ be fun to watch, but let’s be careful too.

-Carry On

    I love it!

I especially love the reaction to it even more.

What are they saying that hasn’t been said on these pages time and time again? That they used “curse words”? Did they “offend” your virgin ears?

Is it because they are old that they aren’t allowed to curse like a fucking sailor? That because of their age they aren’t allowed to be fucking pissed off at the Republican tactics that would deny them from being able to vote?

Of any group of people in our history who have earned the right to talk any fucking way they please it would be the Greatest Generation — and a lot of them aren’t too happy with people like you.

But all that aside, I think this was more of a parody than anything else. I doubt that it will ever see the mainstream ad buys, even if it is bleeped out.

But I really find it ironic that while you complain about something as minor as this video, you ignore the nest that you write from here.

Is this really the best that the great award winning, film-making genius Michael Moore can come up with? Slander and swearing by people you would not expect it from? Let me guess, this was a homage to Samuel L Jackson’s potty mouthed 10 year old.

The left must be getting desperate. I did not hear one fact (or lie) as to why Obama is the superior candidate who should be re-hired in the whole two minute clip. This is analogous to when a ten year old realises he’s about to lose an argument and starts insulting and threatening his opponent.

This makes the assumption that Andy Griffith didn’t want to be “trotted out”, or that he didn’t whole-heartedly endorse Obama and/or Obamacare.

Why can’t these people have their own opinions and be old at the same time? Why do you have to see some “agenda”?

And when you go talking about “shame”, try looking into a mirror first to see if YOU don’t have any for yourself. You are too busy passing judgment on other people not to see the warts on your own face.

Ah…and the old tired meme about the Republicans keeping them from voting. That’s bs, and you know it, DJ. Nearly everyone alive needs a photo ID of some kind just to survive. At that age, even if they don’t drive anymore, most will have a state-issued ID of some kind or other. And if they are waiting until they are in their 80s to vote, and can’t figure out HOW to get a state-issued ID, then perhaps they shouldn’t BE voting.

Yes, the nation will be hopelessly divided. Then let it be so…….no more compromise, no more meeting halfway…….
I feel no regret, no shame, no reason to, only determination. For those that ridicule in the media, it is prattle, not action. I’ve personally experienced their benevolence. Payback is truly a bitch.
As for those threatening to destroy and kill…such tolerance, such consideration on display for all to see….their double standard on raw display…..all they can seek is a pathetic, inadequate equivalency. Should the communist prevail…I will cheerfully let them reap the bitter harvest they have sown, and will defend ferociously that which is mine. The grasshoppers can lose, the ants prevail. And we greatly outnumber them.
I’m not going to argue about it, quite content to wait……my ducks are in a long row…..
Let us not forget the root of the problem……….after the goons.
As for Moore, I ignore him.

That aside, I love it too, really, because that video is really, really going to appeal to senior citizens, seeing as how it portrays the Obamaites as the serious, caring grownups in the room. Nice list. Most of those do NOT require ID at all, (unless you look like you are twelve years old and trying to buy cigarettes and alcohol)

Driving. There are a LOT of seniors who haven’t (and rightly so) driven for decades. There are a lot of other people who don’t own cars and don’t drive — either because of where they live or because they can’t afford to drive. So having a driver’s license is like a paraplegic needing a set of snow skis.

Boarding an airplane. The percentage of people who fly on a regular basis is about 20 percent. The number goes up when you figure in a person’s entire life time. The last estimate I’ve read is that 80 percent of Americans have flown at least once in their lives.

a visit to the Doctor’s Office or Hospital I just came from seeing a doctor this morning. I was never asked for photo ID, just my insurance card.

Applying for a Job. Know many 70, 80, or 90 year olds applying for work these days? As far as ID goes, employers do tend to overlook a lot of ID requrements.

Receiving prescriptions from a pharmacy. Like the doctor visit this morning, all I needed was my insurance card along with my credit card.

Applying to School How many poor people and elderly are applying to school?

Applying for Store Credit Same question as above. Many seniors are in assisted living homes. They don’t usually go shopping on a credit card. Their Social security checks come in to the homes they live in and all of their expenses and medical are take care of by their caregivers.

Establish a Utilities Account I don’t think I have ever needed ID to get power, gas, water, phone or cable hooked up. Just a phone call, and it is done.

Purchasing a car Well, first, the same answer as the first one on the list — not much need for a car if you aren’t driving. If you can’t afford to drive, or are unable to drive, then buying a car is kinda silly. That said, I could buy a car from a private party with no ID at all.

Car registration I just did that online with one of my cars.

Outpatient testing Insurance card was all I have needed.

Opening a Retirement Account I’ve opened bank accounts online with no need for ID. I think you would be completely amazed at what you can do without ever needing ID.

Vote in a Union Election Sure, if you have a union card.

Donate Blood This will be news to the homeless who donate blood and plasma.

Buying a firearm Not if you buy from a private party.

applying for/receiving Social Security Services Not true. Again, if you have a caretaker or someone with power of attorney, THEY can get all that set up for you.

Pawn Shop transactions, Perhaps, but the level of ID required for these kinds of transactions can vary from shop to shop.

Write a check I can’t remember the last time I was asked for ID when I wrote a check for groceries etc. In fact, I have cashed checks at banks without ID as long as the transaction is under $100 per check. I have deposited checks into my account for thousands of dollars with no ID, and got cash back at the same time.

Use a credit card I have never been asked for ID when I use a credit card. One exception to that is at certain hotels.

Buy car insurance Never have had to show ID for car insurance. In fact, the insurance agent I use now, I have never actually met face-to-face. We’ve talked on the phone, but that is it.

Buy train tickets Nope. Never have needed ID to buy train tickets. I take the train all the time between Seattle and North Vancouver. The only time I need ID is for crossing the border. But then, how many poor people and elderly are crossing the border or taking trains?

Buying season passes to an amusement park Never heard of Craigslist? But again, how many seniors are buying season’s passes to amusement parks?

Volunteering at a non-profit I volunteer at places like Fisher House. I have never been asked for ID.

Opening a Library account Nope. I have a Seattle Public Library card and never showed ID.

Applying for a Professional License Many 80 or 90 year olds applying for professional licenses?

Buy a house I have never needed to show ID to buy a house.

Apartment Rental applications I am sure you can find numerous places where they don’t require ID.

Buy cigarettes or liquor LOL! I think I passed that period of time decades ago.

Again, most, if not all of the items on your list do not require state-issued photo ID. Some like union voting require UNION ID, but even that is not valid ID for voting in a general election in some states.

Most states give you a voter’s registration card when you register. That should be sufficient for voting.

We KNOW what Obama plans to do. It is YOU who cannot give SPECIFICS as two what Romney is going to do, because he has been on every side of every issue you can think of.

Oh, he is going to “create 12 million new jobs” in his first term, but HOW? Never mind that most economists are saying that regardless of who is in office this next term, there will be roughly 12 million jobs created without ever doing anything.

Romney is going to be Obama II during his first and only term. Obama may be an empty chair, but Romney is an empty suit. We should find an empty house to put them in…

Driving: How about when they quit driving they get a state-issued ID card? Not hard.

Planes: Whether 20% fly, or 80% fly, you STILL need an ID.

Doctor/Hospital: While our hospitals don’t yet require ID, my doctor’s office DOES. We have to upgrade our information at least once a year, complete with photo ID and insurance card. It makes sense to me. Same with my eye doctor.

Applying for a job: Most of the 70-90′s will already have some form of photo ID.

Applying to school: There are plenty of poor people applying for school. Do you think rich people get student loans?

Seniors in assisted living: Plenty of seniors shop with/by credit cards.

Purchasing a car: Granted, if you don’t buy a car, you don’t get a driver’s license. Get a state-issued one, instead.

Bank accounts online: Depends on the bank. IIRC, when I set up my accounts with Ameritrade, I had to send a photocopy of a picture ID. Same applied when I set up a fraud alert on my credit accounts.

Buying a firearm: Not everyone buys from a private party.

Writing a check: Again, depends on the bank and the store. To withdraw money, I need photo ID. Very few banks require ID to DEPOSIT money. They don’t care. Quite a few of the stores around here ask to see ID when we write a check.

Use a credit card: I have “please see photo ID” on the back of mine; some ask; some don’t. They SHOULD.

Professional license: Again, most of the elderly will already have a driver’s license or a state-issued ID card.

Apartment rental: And I’m sure you can find just as many that do.

Buying cigarettes or liquor:YOU may have passed that awhile ago, but lots of people haven’t. As far as I know, most places still require ID to buy booze or cigs.

A voter registration card should be enough? Seriously? That is fraught with opportunities for fraud. Nope. Photo ID, or you don’t vote. If you’re too stupid to figure out how to get one, then you’re too stupid to vote.

My state allows any one of six different kinds of ID, and if for some reason one doesn’t have any of them, the state will give one out for free. You cannot make a credible case that requiring ID is some kind of hardship. And what are you really saying with all this? That Obama can’t win without fraudulent votes?

Driving: How about when they quit driving they get a state-issued ID card? Not hard.

Did you know that most states threshold for obtaining a “state ID” card is so low that many places won’t accept them as ID? It takes a little more scrutiny for a person to obtain a driver’s license, which is why a lot of people who steal identities thrive by starting out with a state-issued ID. A simple affidavit printed on a home computer can allow a person to get a simple state ID in most states. It is really kinda scary how easy it is to create a new identity from scratch using the state to supply documentation. You would be amazed — and shocked.

Most cops take state ID with a grain of salt. If you took a closer look at some of the Voter ID laws, you would see that they do also.

    LC Grammar Czar, G.L.O.R. says:

Planes: Whether 20% fly, or 80% fly, you STILL need an ID.

Yes, and you entirely miss the point. MOST people aren’t regularly flying, so their need for ID for that purpose is nil. The poor seldom fly anywhere, and neither do the elderly in assisted living homes.

Most likely expired and thereby invalid. Again, how many 70 – 90 year olds are applying for jobs? Especially ones in assisted living arrangements or nursing homes? Look, there comes a time when you have to be just a bit realistic here.

My dad just turned 100 in June. While he complains to us about not being allowed to drive any more (“I was driving LONG before you were born!”) he hasn’t had a valid drivers license since Bush I. He hasn’t had a need for photo ID since the end of Clinton’s first term, since all of his financial and living details are handled by us and his guardian. My mother, who died last Friday, was the same way. (and don’t call the cops, but I suspected that she may have voted already — she liked Romney because he has “nice hair”, which for her was a great quality.)

    LC Grammar Czar, G.L.O.R. says:

A voter registration card should be enough? Seriously? That is fraught with opportunities for fraud. Nope. Photo ID, or you don’t vote. If you’re too stupid to figure out how to get one, then you’re too stupid to vote.

During the Bush administration, the Justice Department did a widespread study into “voter fraud”. Funny how they didn’t come up with anything except a handful of ex-felons in a few states who voted when they weren’t allowed to, or cases where like in my mother’s case, died and then “magically” voted. (in those cases, it was usually a surviving spouse who sent in the absentee ballot because they “knew” what their spouse’s vote would have been. In other cases — like in my mother’s case — she mailed in her absentee ballot and THEN died.)

But the notion of there being wide spread voter’s fraud is a myth. There IS a problem with wide spread ELECTION fraud where voting machines are hacked or votes switched, and ballots mysteriously appearing or disappearing into someone’s trunk or dumpster. Funny how nobody seems to want to combat THAT problem…

Actually, never. I don’t smoke or drink. Never have. My daughter, however, because she looks so young, got carded when she bought some Kahlua once.

Let’s for the sake of argument, assume that you DO smoke. What do you think the likelihood of you getting carded? What do you think the likelihood of anyone over thirty getting carded? Do you think that anyone in that video would get carded if they were to buy alcohol?

Were I not having trouble with my scanner, I would link a picture of the paper, which spells out all the ID requirements, that I got with my voter registration card.

Again, how many 70 – 90 year olds are applying for jobs? Especially ones in assisted living arrangements or nursing homes?

Here is what the paper says about that, under exemptions from the ID requirement:

Voters who are in a licensed nursing home or assisted living center and who vote at the facility.

D.J, I’m 58 years old and have a long gray beard, and I certainly can’t pass as being under twenty one; I smoke and drink; the people at the local gas station see me EVERY day and know me by name. They still card me EVERY time as it’s the law here in Indiana. ANYWHERE I might happen to buy an alcoholic beverage, whether in a store or a bar, I get carded. It’s the law in IN. and there are NO exceptions.

We have had a voter ID law here for at least the last ten years, and no one here seems to mind; if anything it reassures us that our elections are fair and fraud free.

The best thing that can be said about the position the NSDWP has taken on voter ID is that it is consistent with their other policies promoting the tyranny of low expectations for their constituents. At least here, they can say that it would be too much to ask a voter that has left the workforce, is receiving welfare, on the SNAP program, enrolled in SSDI or taking benefits from the dozens of other transfer programs to furnish proof of identity in order to vote for more free stuff.

The worst, and more accurate, thing that can be said about this scurrilous position is that voter ID will expose a wide variety of national, regional and local efforts to defraud the electoral process. There are so many instances of this happening during this election that dozens of stories are popping up, even in the left-leaning media. Many national pollsters skew their surveys to increase the proportion of Democrats in their sample, in order to more closely resemble historical election results. Huh? How much of this is due to the fact that they cannot get dead people to answer the phone?

To be fair, there are instances of fraud by members of both major parties, which is all the more reason why this needs to be addressed. Americans need to be assured of the integrity of the process. In my opinion, we need to do this to convey to all voters the importance of this personal responsibility. How important can voting be, if we do such a slipshod job of managing the process?

Buying a firearm Not if you buy from a private party.

Only if you want a free orange jumpsuit and a 4′X7′ studio apartment at Club Fed. Person to Person transactions must be through a third party with a Class III Dealers License and the paperwork must be processed as normal.

If you are so worried about voter disenfranchisement you and your fellow white knights should be jumping all over the disenfranchisement of our military’s voting rights. Or will you treat our troops like jugears treats our overseas ambassadors?

    The Lone Haranguer says:

You cannot make a credible case that requiring ID is some kind of hardship. And what are you really saying with all this? That Obama can’t win without fraudulent votes?

    This even more exactly so.

While this is true, and needs to be very carefully monitored, come on Deej. You are sounding awfully strong toward allowing these potential frauds to continue. EVERY step needs to be taken to prevent any of it. Again, if you’re too stupid to be able to get an ID, what the fuck are you doing voting? We on the right want this to prevent multiple votes of the left. Do you, in turn, want to enable multiple votes from the right?
    Delftsman3 says:

And the absolutely most “exactly so”. Why is there a problem with this? Because of the side that wants it, or the reason the other side doesn’t?

Every time I go to a restaraunt and order a beer or glass of wine and everytime they get a new employee at the gas station where I buy my Skoal.

And in Ohio and I believe most states you cannot walk into a drug store and buy Claratin otc without showing a drivers license because it’s used in the production of meth, if someone that I do not know walks into my auto parts store and wants to buy a case or more of brake clean, or carb clean I need them to show I.D. once again because it is used for meth production
