I still recall my fury at seeing innocent people jumping to their deaths hand in hand rather than being burned alive. I still remember tears of rage streaming down my face watching it unfold on television. I do know, had I possessed the power, that a certain part of the planet would still be glowing from the radiation……..megaton after megaton of canned sunshine would have been my reprisal, along with threats of immediate, total destruction should such an attack happen again.
Now I just feel a sadness…………….

I was working that day, closing a manufacturing plant. I happened to walk through the cafeteria and a television was on showing the first tower was burning. I asked what happened and someone said a small plane hit the tower.
When I saw the hole in the side of the building I knew it wasn’t a small plane but still through it was an accident.

When I came back about 30 minutes later I saw the second tower in flames. I knew right then we were under attack and at war.

I had a neighbor at the time who was in the Pentagon when it was hit. (On the opposite side thank God), and my father’s corporate offices, was destroyed. (Most people got out and my late father wasn’t based there)

Never forget! Never forgive!

Someone linked to this over at Hot Air. I’ve seen it before, and it leaves me in tears every time, but with a certain cold emotionless center that is just waiting for the word to be unleashed. Part of me prays that I never have to, part of me wishes it could just find its outlet and do it.

Supposedly Golda Meir said something to the effect that they didn’t hate the Arabs because of what the Arabs did, but rather because of what the Arabs made the Israelis do to them.

And I realized with sadness that this year I forgot Beslan. Two awful September days, caused by the same people.

People ask where were you or what were your memories? Mine start a few days later. I worked on an Army contract at an off-site location about a 10-15 min drive to the Pentagon. Since I lived in Arlington and had both a DoD badge and mil ID (NG) I never had much of an issue getting in. Therefore I became the de facto courier for the project and meeting with Contracting Officers Representative (COTR) and the customer for routine matters. It worked out for me because I didn’t charge travel and I got to have lunch with some of the National Guard or retired Marines that I knew that worked there and then I could go home or go have a beer if I wanted after my business was done.

My kids had come up to visit me that July and we did the “dad works at the Pentagon, sort of” so we went I did our own little tour. Two months exactly before that Tuesday. Both Wednesday and Thursday we didn’t work but stayed home. If we could we would work from home. They needed to keep the roads clear and they were still worried about another attack. Friday they opened up the Pentagon under certain conditions so people could retrieve items, gather material or undamaged equipment to set up shop somewhere else. I was asked if I could go to the Pentagon and help get things so the on-site workers would have stuff to keep working at another location, continuity of operations crap.

I forget which day I went over (it was either Tuesday or Wednesday the next week). You were allowed to bring in one bag only and you had to be escorted by someone from that shop. So I loaded up my ALICE Large and drove as far as Pentagon City and hoofed it the rest of the way. I remember that it was overcast and misting a little. September 11 had been in the high 90s and as result a lot of cars over heated and blocked traffic, some were still there. The Admin Assistant met me at the south entrance and she was an emotional basket case and she never really recovered. She was a smoker and she used to take her breaks near the Pentagon library. If you remember that’s where they found the nose of Flight 77. There was still some smoke over where the plane hit. That area was sealed off by the FBI as a crime scene and in this area they had built funnels out of chain link fence so that people could be escorted into areas that were still sealed. They could only bring a file box and could only take personal items and no cameras. She and I went in the area where her office was located (“C” Ring, just passed corridor 6 towards 7), the COTR and I jammed as much as we could into my ruck as I could carry.

The other reason that I was asked to go was because of the stench. They “told” me that it was because of all the rotting food from the cafeterias and to be prepared for it. When I got inside I knew better. For those that know it death has a smell that is unlike any other, you can’t describe it, you never forget it once you’ve smelled it and it never leaves you…ever. I’m not talking about a sanitized, sterile death in a hospital or a funeral home but the smell of bodies that have been burnt, were rotting and decaying from water and heat a week later because everything needed to be shored up and documented before they could be removed.

My 9/11 memory? Deaths stench a week later. I threw the clothes I wore there out. I didn’t even bother to try and wash them.

i was working at the post office where they had a tv on in the training room which showed the world trade center on fire because a plane had hit it.i said the fucking ragheads did it the post master said to me you can’t say that just then a second plane flies into the other tower so i asked him if he thought that was the easter bunny.the asshole was more pissed at me for calling the terrorist ragheads than he was over them flying airliners full of americans into the tower.i have been dissapointed at our response ever since we should have destroyed meca ,medena and every raghead capital after that we should have started killing as many stinking ragheads as we could yet here we are 11yrs later still playing fuck around with them.could some one tell me why we are letting these uncivilized sub-humans into my country?death to pisslam!!!!!!

An American has been killed on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 as Islamist mobs attacked and burned the U.S. consulate in Libya.

A US official was killed and another wounded on Tuesday as an armed mob protesting over a film they said offended Islam attacked the US consulate in Benghazi, an official told AFP.

Libya’s deputy interior minister Wanis al-Sharef said: “One American official was killed and another injured in the hand. The other staff members were evacuated and are safe and sound.”

He could not say if the dead man was a diplomat.

It is so far the only death from mob attacks in Libya and Egypt over Islamist anger at an alleged film in production by Coptic Christians focusing on Islam. The United States spent 9/11 apologizing for hurting Islamists’ feelings in Egypt which incited protesters to desecrate our flag and storm the walls of the U.S. embassy.

Afterwards, President Obama rejected a meeting with Binyamin Netanyahu, saying that his schedule was full, the same day he announced another appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman.”

I had a similar experience. I’m a retired Carrier. My recommendations for wholesale retaliation were met with demands I be fired. My response to that was that all who desired my removal from the Postal Service deserved beheading when Al Quaeda showed up. This country is finished because nobody but US identify with what America used to be. The Politically Correct Liberals are doormats for everybody on earth except US. And they will fight only US because we are politically powerless, and are the only opposition to their gutter culture, nihilism, and Officially sanctioned hate for common decency. If we fight them, we lose because they control the courts. We have all the risk. The Government has none. Our only choice is to defend none but Ourselves when the main invasion comes.

An American staff member of the US consulate in Benghazi has died following fierce clashes at the compound, two Libyan security sources said on Wednesday.

“One American staff member has died and a number have been injured in the clashes,” Abdel-Monem Al-Hurr, spokesman for Libya’s supreme security committee, said, adding that he did not know the exact number of injured.

Gunmen attacked the compound in the eastern city on Tuesday evening, clashing with Libyan security forces before the latter withdrew as they came under heavy fire. Reuters reporters on the scene saw looters raiding the compound, walking off with desks, chairs and washing machines. A security official said a fire was burning inside the consulate and that staff had been evacuated. Three injured members of the Libyan security forces taken away in an ambulance.

The gunmen formed part of a group protesting against a US film they say is blasphemous.

The incident followed a protest in Egypt where demonstrators scaled the walls of the US embassy, tore down the American flag and burned it during a protest over the same film, which attacks Islam’s prophet, Muhammad.

As for yesterday as we mourn and remember the heroes who perished on that day, we had our chief executive apologizing for us as Libya and Egypt commemorate 9/11 by what?……….killing Americans.

September 11th is an historical day for muslims…they were handed defeat at (I’m going from memory here) the battle of Tours by Charles Martel in the 13th or 14th century. I guess they decided yesterday would be a good day to get rowdy.

And, Deej, to be sure, Odumbo’s actions yesterday concerning the attack on our embassy and the murder of our ambassador certainly give rise to serious questions about his leadership. These actions transcend politics. They bring into question his fitness as a leader.

Moderates are seldom heard, yet they make up the VAST majority of any faith. It is the malcontents and attention-getters who tend to be noticed — because it is all about the publicity.

The actions of Sam Bacile and Terry Jones are NOT representative of the Jewish or Christian faiths, and the acts of militants in Egypt and Libya are not representative of Muslims or the governments of either nation. In fact, the Libyan government quickly issued an official apology following the deaths of the embassy personnel — after it was Libyan soldiers who helped to repel the militants from the embassy.

The facts are these: four employees of the U.S. government were murdered on the 11th anniversary of the Al Qaeda attacks on American innocents. Absent a violent provocation by those killed in the attacks, there can be no excuse for these actions. The State Department has been negligent at best in securing the safety of its employees in Libya, a nation struggling to recover from a violent revolution and a surge in Islamic extremism. Security for the embassy in Egypt is also suspect, and needs rapid attention.

There can be no question that the events of yesterday in both Libya and Egypt strongly indicate that the results of this administrations policy in the region and reactions to the Arab Spring events and the evolution of governance in the region are not what we were being told to expect. We are on the brink of witnessing major US policy failure in the Middle East, and as I have said before, this will not end well.

World wars have been started over events like those that transpired yesterday.

As much as a some people will die rather than admit this, we are in a religious war. Christianity stopped having those a few centuries ago and I think Judaism stopped theirs after the Romans did a number on them. (I expect to be corrected on both statements)

Christians and Jews want converts, but not by the sword. They have all learned that it has to be from the heart if it is to have any meaning.

Islam? Convert or die pretty much covers it for them.

I know you won’t like what I have to say about stopping these attacks, but what they heck? That’s never stopped anyone here in the past.

They way to stop RIF’s from pulling this sort of thing is to go Roman on their butts. That means doing things such as what Pompey did after the slave revolt led by Spartacus. Nail a few thousand of them to crosses along a main highway and leave them there to rot.

And that’s just to start.

Fear works and they need to fear us. Then, they might get the idea that a few reforms are in order.

It is a clever means of taking advantage of Western “political correctness” sensibilities, and gained prominence during the Danish cartoons controversy. And Westerners, particularly politicians and media-types, have fed into it by condemning anyone who says something that might offend the moon god worshipping scumbags.

Why the hell should non-Muslims feel the need to walk on eggshells around these immature brats? Are you granting a blanket pardon to rioting, murderous Muslim mobs who claim to have been incited by a fucking movie? If so, would you have granted a similar blanket pardon to Christians deeply offended by blasphemic messages in The Last Temptation of Christ?

If you aren’t willing to grant a pass to any religious group that would go on a murderous rampage because their religious sensibilities had somehow been offended, you’re simply a hypocrite — nothing more, nothing less.

I asked him who he thought Sam Bacile was. He said that there are about 15 people associated with the making of the film, “Nobody is anything but an active American citizen. They’re from Syria, Turkey, Pakistan, they’re some that are from Egypt. Some are Copts but the vast majority are Evangelical.”
