Great Moments in Nationalized ObamaTaxCare

In which we, once again, provide the masses with a success story about the wonders of socialist healthcare that will be widely ignored, just like every single other time we posted one of those.

Let us be clear: We’re not posting those because we think for a fleeting second that anybody is going to be converted by it, much more than a decade of experience with the willful ignorance in this nation that has not yet been actually cursed by getting what they ask for has taught us better, but mainly because we don’t want anybody, anybody still alive after the consequences of their apathy and complacency have hit this nation like an F5 tornado to be able to tell us that we didn’t tell them so.

And then we’ll punch them in the face and tell them to get the fuck off of our lawn before we shoot them in the gut.

You ready? Here we go:

In another nation where ObamaTaxCare is the Law of the Land, Tiny Britain, a 22-year-old was recently allowed to die of dehydration because the wonderful nationalized healthcare that he and his parents had been paying through the nose for by way of ObamaRobertsTaxes, couldn’t figure out which form they needed to fill in to give the boy a glass of water. Or something like that. That’s what you get when you put the TSA in charge of your health.

But bugger all, that could never happen HERE! La-la-la, I can’t hear you!

The kid, who was on hormone therapy to save his life, which required fluid therapy which the wonderful ObamaTaxCare NHS couldn’t be arsed to give to him, much less the medication that they had to give him to keep him from dehydrating, actually tried to call the police because the hospital staff refused to give him a glass of water. Then he called his mum to let her know what was going on, which included, apparently, the hospital staff standing around while he was dying trying to come up with a good story that would hold up in court.

Because just giving the boy his medicine, hanging his drip or bringing him a glass of water was just too fucking hard or something.

Priorities, you know. There was probably some Member of Parliament who needed the bed and the kid was just refusing to do his “fair share” and die so it could be cleared.

The kid finally gave up the spirit and did his People’s Duty to Bend the Cost Curve™ at which point the final insult was given to his grieving mum:

Following his death from dehydration, they were asked to help move his body so a nurse could put a clean sheet under his lifeless body.

Later a nurse asked them “Have you finished seeing your son yet? Can I bag him up now?” the inquest was told.

Because, you know, we need to clear out this bed so we can murder another patient, don’t you know? Just ask the death panel.

Oh, and don’t get us started on this “inquest.” Nothing is going to bloody happen. They might as well quit the charade and just take turns pissing on the kid’s grave. Because that’s what you get when the almighty state is the one who’s wronged you and your only recourse, none, is to try to sue the state who, incidentally, will be the ones running the “investigation.” This poor mother’s hope of getting justice here is about the same as any hope of getting Heinrich Holder to face the music for having murdered more than three hundred people.

Want an amusing anecdote about how “justice” works under nationalized “health”care? When we were young, there was a case of a kid, a hemophiliac, who died of AIDS after getting a transfusion. Now this was in the days after our Ministry of “Health” was aware of an effective way of screening donors for HIV, not before when nobody really knew what we were dealing with, but the Minister of “Health” had decided, on her own (much like Ogabe works here with his Imperial Diktats), that it just wasn’t “cost-effective”, which is similar to the Independent Payment Advisory Board (which is TOTALLY not a “death panel” since it doesn’t have the word “death” in it!!!) that Ogabe and Justice Roberts love so much.

So the parents sued, or started an “inquest” as it’s known in Britain.

You know what they got, even though the court, in a rare fit of doing their actual jobs, agreed that it was a wrongful death?

About $5,000. Which wasn’t the worst slap in the face, because who can really put a price tag on a human life? OK, so we’d suggest that it might be more than a down payment on a car, but that’s beside the point. No, the worst slap in the face to the grieving parents was that nobody, NOBODY responsible for the murder of that young child faced any consequences at all. None. Not even a suspension. Not even an administrative leave. Nothing. Nada.

Because when you let the almighty government rule you, you’re nothing but a slave and of no consequence at all.

Peasants had it better under feudalism. At least the lords back then knew that a dead peasant was no good when it came to harvesting.

And that’s what you fuckhead fiddy2ers are asking for.

We hope you get it, good and hard. And when you’re dying, begging for mercy, crawling before us in hopes that we’ll at least piss on you to put the fire in your hair out, we’ll just look at you and say “we already gave at the office. Told you so. Fuckheads.”

Thatisall.

That brings up an interesting conundrum. If there are no “death panels” but the hospital/doctor has been forced make a medical decision not on necessity but one based on convoluted federal regulations…

    1. Who do the parasites (i.e. lawyers) sue?
    2. What, if under the new rules, they aren’t allowed to sue (EPA anyone)?
    3. What about underground/black market care? Are we going to see HHS SWAT teams kicking down doctors offices?

Yeah. I was notified my health insurance rate was going up a bit. I have a high deductible plan with an HSA.
I called my insurance company to look into upping my deductible and lowering my premium. Guess what? I found out I was “Grandfathered in” with my current plan. If I wanted to change it, I would have to move to a new plan since the one I’m in is closed. I could bump up my deductible with a fairly significant lowering of my rate.
    One small problem.
Since I would no longer be grandfathered I could see my premium go up if Obamacare is allowed to go into effect. The CS Rep said it would go up between 40% 150%
    :em06:
Gee wasn’t Obamacare supposed to LOWER my rates and improve my medical care? /sarc

The rep mentioned a lot of people, many with problems were canceling their insurance with the words “Obamacare will take care of me for free!” I think I made the comment that it was nice of them to remove themselves from the gene pool.
    :em07:

I also mentioned that in my case, the people I know are not looking positively at Obamacare. They were stocking up on ammo. The Rep mentioned that gun sales were up 150% I gave him a couple of publicly traded firearms companies and told him to invest.
Anyway he said wait until the election and see who wins. If Romney wins and blows out the demicong, this drek should be repealed forthwith. If Obama wins, just stay with my current plan as long as I can. :em08:

You can keep pretending that ObamaTaxCare isn’t a deliberate move to create a disaster where we inevitably will get nationalized health care until you turn blue in the face, but it’s not going to make it any less true.

The whole scheme can only end in one outcome, because it is simply unsustainable by design. But hey, as long as it’s not quite there yet, then it’s just silly to make that observation, no? Heaven forbid that anybody should notice it before it’s too late. That might throw a wrench in the works.

Nobody, including yourself, is buying the “if they call the color red ‘blue’, then it’s not really red anymore” diversion. Just like “Independent Payment Advisory Board” is not a “Death Panel” because, well, it has neither the word “death” nor “panel” in there. Or how about ObamaTaxCare definitely bringing the cost of healthcare down no matter what basic economics and even the notoriously nutsack-licking CBO says because, hey!, the name of the Act has the word “affordable” in there, so it simply must be true! Or how about the mercifully aborted Employee Free Choice Act, whose sole purpose was to make sure that the only “free” choice employees would get to make would be to join the union. Or else.

We can play word games all day long if you’re thusly inclined, but it doesn’t change the facts on the ground.

My friend, I am not the one “pretending” here.

Have we been handed a shit sandwich by being told that we have to purchase insurance from a PRIVATE insurance carrier? Of course. But that is really all that has changed.

Unlike your doom and gloom concerning your prior country, we still have a for profit system, where our doctors do NOT work for the government and our insurance companies still hold the purse strings. The only thing that has changed in all of this is that we are now FORCED to buy insurance from a private company that lobbied their asses off to Congress to get a captive consumer base.

    THOSE are the facts.

This is hardly a “nationalized” health care system, nor is it anything that could laughingly be called “health care reform”. This was health INSURANCE reform and was completely steered to bring in mandated customers to a group of PRIVATE corporations. Not Socialism, but FASCISM.

If you think for a fucking second that I approve of any of this, I have a Space Needle and the box it came in for sale. But I REALLY wish you would get your fucking ‘isms” correct.

Do I blame Obama for this? Sure. But if it wasn’t him, it would have been Romney or some other fuckweasel, because this ISN’T a concept drafted by Obama, THIS has been on the drawing board in this exact form since the early 1990s. If you bother to do enough digging, you will find that RomneyCare neigh ObamaCare is actually coming from the Heritage Foundation in 1990, and had been originally pushed as an alternative to “HillaryCare” back in 1993.

This shit isn’t new. It just took a guy who wanted to tackle “health care reform” so badly that once he got started he got steamrolled with accepting this shit.

I suspect that Roberts suddenly got the come-to-Jesus moment back in late May when he figured out that if the Court overturned just the Mandate, it would pave the way for Single Payer after the next election. That, and there was no way the private insurance carriers would have sit still for having that mandate taken away.

I keep trying to point out to you that the ONLY people who gain from the Mandate (call it whatever you wish) are the insurance companies, Big Banks, and Wall Street. Think about that for a moment: WHO gains from the mandate? We, The People?

We The People are being forced NOT to buy insurance from the government, but from the PRIVATE insurance carriers. The PENALTY (aka the “tax”) might be collected by the IRS, but it too goes to (wait for it) the PRIVATE INSURANCE CARRIERS.

So your characterization that this is “nationalized insurance” is waaaaay off base. We could only DREAM that was the case as opposed to what this shit really is.

    Death Panels? Just more hype.

THOSE are your “facts on the ground”. But still a shit sandwich though.

Those “private” insurance companies are an endangered species in any state that chooses to have an exchange. Anyone who can’t or won’t understand that is simply ignorant of economics.

But it may be moot, as the states that filed suit against the obamanation can simply decline to participate. Feds can’t do much of anything. Maybe they should have actually studied…or maybe at least read the bill before they deemed it passed.

Uh, that “exchange” is made up of — wait for it — private insurance carriers.

Right now, Vermont is the only state which has decided to create its own “single payer” health insurance system. It will still offer private insurance in its exchange for those people who want additional insurance. Now is that a “threat” to the private carriers? Sure, if it actually takes off and is successful, and other states look to implement it. Right now, it is just a wait and see, and there is NO requirement that a state has to do anything but provide a list of approved insurance companies to purchase insurance through.

Ah, but there IS teeth in that part of the law, and they are already writing medical insurance for pre-existing conditions. THAT part of the law already kicked in.

That was the whole point of the mandate — to increase the pool so that insurance companies could underwrite existing conditions.

Still would have wished they had gone the simple route and took away the minimum age for Medicare. That would have only take a couple of sheets of paper.

I wouldn’t need regular weaponry to take it out on the NHS if provoked. 5’8″ & 22 stone, I’m not skilled at combat, but in berserker mode up against a bunch of nurses, orderlies, doctors & (frightfully important) office workers, I think I could break skulls, crush a larynx here & there, & throw offenders downstairs/out of windows without requiring much equipment. Of course I’m not known for doing any such thing in “real life,” & I wouldn’t have offspring to avenge–if I believed in personal vengeance, which is dubious–since there never were any. Just sayin’…

right to choose = baby killing

invest in the future = raising taxes
