Or is he? We’re not so sure, actually, but that’s because we have a habit of checking the weather through the window if we hear Bubba saying that the sun is shining.

As you recall, the former prevaricator-in-chief threw yet more sand in the gears of Der Fubar’s propaganda machinery when he suggested that something needed to be done about extending the tax cuts, and right this minute, because high taxes in the middle of a Great Depression isn’t the way to get things going. Bless his heart, he actually got it absolutely right for once.

Needless to say, that didn’t sit too well with Der Fubar, the NSDWP and their monomaniacal policy of raising taxes as the cure to all that ails ya. So they went ahead and tried Alinskying a Clinton, which made us put in an order for a full box of popcorn. Hilarity about to ensue, amateurs against the pros, don’t miss it.

And then, then it appeared as if Billy Jeff backed down and apologized most profusely. At first we thought “what the fuck?” Then “aw shucks, that’s weeks of entertainment down the drain.” And then, finally, “waitaminnit, that doesn’t really fit with the whole Clinton M.O.” So we went to find the actual words uttered by the erstwhile Sneaky-Shit-in-Chief, because if we’ve learned one thing from studying him and his missus, it’s that what comes out of their yaps usually bears little relation to what they’re saying, if you know what we mean.

“I’m very sorry about what happened,” Clinton said in an interview to air on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” “I thought something had to be done on the ‘fiscal cliff’ before the election. Apparently nothing has to be done until the first of the year.”…

“I really was under the impression that they would have to do something before the election, and I was trying to figure out how they would kick it to last (through) the election,” he said.

He continued: “Once I realized that nothing had to be done until the first of the year, I supported (Obama’s) position. I supported extending them last year, but I think his position is the right one and necessary for working out a comprehensive (deficit reduction) deal.”

Mheh. Tell us if we’re wrong, but what we’re seeing right there is him saying “hey, you know what, I got the administration all wrong. I mean, there I was, seeing the economy in the shitter with nobody daring to invest a dime because they didn’t know what was going to happen, the whole damn thing teetering right on the edge of the cliff and I thought that maybe it’d be a good idea to, you know, do something about the whole disaster before it blew up in our faces. But I see now that the administration doesn’t see it that way, that it’s perfectly safe to do nothing until some time next year, nothing to worry about, nothing to see here, everything is “doing just fine” so, well, if that’s the case, then so be it. Let’s all cross our fingers and do nothing, hoping for a miracle.”

We mean, we couldn’t be more sarcastic and passive-agressive if we tried, and we’ve got several advanced degrees in both from Snarky Arse U.

Billy Jeff has an angle, he always has, we just haven’t quite figured it out yet, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. And if anybody thinks that rolling over and playing dead for somebody who has publicly insulted both him and his wife, somebody he himself refers to as an “amateur”, then they obviously don’t know the devious dude from Little Rock as well as we think that we do.

Thoughts?

Thatisall.

Sheeyut…this one’s easy. Billy Jeff is secretly campaigning for Mittens, knowing full well that Romney is gonna play hell getting anything fixed in the next four years. Then, when we approach this time 4 years from now…BAM…the DemoncRats will hoist up the Clinton with the biggest nutsack as their choice, and then we can spend the next four to eight… Read more »

Cactus Jack, you may be correct but he’s depending on a Dem controlled Senate or House for that to fly and Mittens being somewhat incompetent. I don’t think Clinton actually sees it that way. For sure he wants wifey to run in 2016 but he might have 2012 in his sights. After all, if Obama become toxic enough he (obama)… Read more »

What Clinton was in effect saying with those remarks was that he had been taken to the woodshed by the Obama campaign for talking about what might be good for the country, not for Obama’s re-election. His reference to the timing of the election in his remarks is the smoking gun. It’s kind of like Obama telling him to say… Read more »

Regardless of their future hopes I suspect the primary Klintoon goal now is to make sure the Obaminator never gets a second term. It’s payback time. Coincidentally we can agree that this is a worthy aspiration. :em01:

The New York City Board of Education is defending a principal who banned the song “God Bless the USA” from being performed at a kindergarten graduation ceremony reportedly because it might offend other cultures. Greta Hawkins, the principal of the Edna Cohen School in Coney Island, came under fire from parents after she instructed teachers to remove the song from… Read more »
