Oh, And While We’re On The Subject of The Age of Obamarius

And the “necessity” of raising the debt ceiling so we can continue to pay off Ogabe’s brownshirt union thugs, take a look at the graph over at Patterico’s site.

Never mind the “debt passes $14,000,000,000,000″ bit, just please note that said debt has increased by $5,000,000,000,000 since 2008 which was two years after the DemCong took over from the Bush Administration’s “irresponsible spending.”

We remind you again that the DemCong have been holding the federal purse strings since 2006, NOT since 2008 when they “inherited” the mess.

If you’re unemployed, go find a Democrat and thank him. Preferably by jamming a rusty saw wrapped in razor wire up his arse. Then slap him on the cheek to make him spin.

Thatisall.

P.S.: If you want a graph going a little further back, here’s one.

The ones with functional synapses might notice that said debt graph started rising rather dramatically in 2007. What’s significant about 2007? Well, that would be the first year that the federal budget was passed by a DemCong majority.

Discuss and, for those of you still waiting for the penny to drop, please report back to Kindergarten.

The jump at the end of your second graph looks like what happens when a functional alchoholic develops a full blown gambling and cocaine addiction.

I’m not convinced Misha, the argument your making is that while the Republicans spent like drunken sailors on a 3 days pass the Dems spent like drunken sailors on a whole month of block leave. I’m sorry but wrong is wrong and it doesn’t matter if the overspending is 100 Billion or 1 Trillion that is still money that has to be borrowed and paid back.

Not meaning to be rude but I can’t stand the lesser of two evils argument because that is how we got in this mess to begin with.

Actually, the argument that I was trying to make was that it takes only five minutes with a graph to realize that the current mess wasn’t “inherited.” What was inherited was a mess, you won’t find me in support of very many of Dubya’s spending binges and I spent quite a bit of time calling him and his “compassionate conservatism” bullshit out for the bullshit it was, but it was nothing but a puddle on the floor compared to the 7 feet tall pile of rotting shit that the DemCong loaded on top of it.

We could have cleaned up Dubya and his pussy RINO friends’ mess with a mop. After four years of the DemCong, we need the Army Corps of Engineers.

And Marshall was progessive how, exactly?

As for Holmes, he was many things, although I’m not sure “progressive” is a brush I’d tar him with.

I beg to differ. As a former drunken sailor, I would quit spending when I ran out of money. :em03:

As Pete from Western Rifle Shooters blog says:

    – We’re screwed.
    – There’s gonna be a fight.
    – Let’s WIN!

I am willing to sacrifice my life, what is left of my fortune (not much), and my sacred honor in this endeavor.

    To the “powers that be”:
Beware of the extremely well-trained AMERICAN who has nothing left to lose. No matter WHAT their age. We are MANY and you are few. Tread carefully. The ice is becoming very thin. Heed the words of the grandfather of Vanderboegh as he says over at Sipsey Street, “Don’t poke the wolverine with a sharp stick, son. You’ll get yer balls RIPPED OFF!!!”.

I’m fuckin’ tired. Alla this shit sickens me. Where the fuck is the America I grew up in?

    I want it back…

    Ah, Happy New Year!
Anyway, offa the top o’ my head, a few quotes from my favorite author:

“Moderation is for fools. Live life to the fullest.”

“You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don’t ever count on having both at once.”

“Political tags – such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth – are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire.”

Nah, no credit cards. I figured the annual fees and interest payments would cut into my drinking. The credit cards showed up right after the wife did.
