That’s it, we’re switching to Bing.

For the same reason I “root” my Driod. Get Google out of my life. Same with Bing, by the way. A piece-o-crap Microsquish product.
I use other search engines, most notably Alta Vista for babelfish and Yahoo for most everything else.
Igor, you do realize that, even though you root, you are still using a a flavor of Google’s Andriod OS? Even the AOSP ROM’s are developed using the Andriod source code.
I tried Bing a few times and the search results blew donkey balls! Damn, I miss the days when hotbot was the search engine of choice.

Of course I know, I just get a lot of that extra Google crap off the OS. Get it down to its core functions. Most games won;t play, but so what? Mapping still works, phone works, calendar and browser works, camera works, music still plays. I can delete the crap I don’t want or need.

Strange, but the background picture that I have on Chrome for Google.com had a very similar photo as the Bing one.
Of course I use iGoogle and the background images are topical for the time, date, and locale.
I don’t like Bing because the results aren’t as robust.

I have a Nexus S 4G and have a great ROM on it right now. For me, it isn’t so much the Android OS, it is the carrier bullshit that I’ve been able to avoid with the Nexus.

You hit it on the head, Deej – I don’t want all the extraneous crap from Google on my phone. Which is why I prefer Linux to Windoze. But maybe that’s because I grew up with Unix/linux since 1967.
