Every unusual pain or headache or gut ache and you think “oh shit, I wonder if that’s cancer”…..you never really recover from the disease, I’m finding that out 2 years on from my surgery.
you may not want prayers or sympathy but you are not in a position to deny us….your friends and fellow travelers….the right to express our esteem and concern for you. Deej: I have a cousin that had a liver transplant. He told me how it is when your liver has totally given out. It is a road no one should ever have to travel and I don’t wist that or the pain of cancer on anyone. I will hope that luck finds you and a suitable donor comes at a time long before it is too late to help. Good luck on your ride and may you enjoy every minute out there.

My father had four different doctors tell him that he had less than two years to live…that was over 30 years ago, and every single one of those doctors are dead themselves…the ironic thing is that my father officiated at two of their funerals !

I admit that I was not tuned in to the whole controversy of Obama’s birth at first, because I could not imagine that there might be some one so audacious, so selfish that they might believe they could deceive a nation on a principle that is so fundamental to its construction. The weight of the evidence in this situation, and the realization that nothing is off limits for this man, have turned me into a serious skeptic, and this last bit of news tears it for me.
I believe the Constitution comes before the right of any single individual to aspire to the Presidency of the United States of America. This means that any candidate for the office must be able to produce verifiable proof of his or her eligibility upon demand by any citizen of the United States. The inability or unwillingness to do so disqualifies the individual, as far as I am concerned. I now believe that we have been the victims of one of the greatest, most treasonable frauds ever perpetrated upon the United States of America.

DJ, I am not an MD, but I have been around organized medicine all my life, in one way or another. I have seen otherwise healthy people appear to lose their grip on life, and decline as if they were mortally ill, as indeed they were, in ways their doctors could not seem to treat. I have also seen people survive things that stunned their eminent physicians, and defy long odds against their survival. As I watched and often participated in these most unflinchingly real dramas of life, It became clear to me that the one ultimate predictor of the outcome was not the quality of the physicians (although it matters), not the excellence of the hospital (although it matters), but the mind of the patient. Those whose vision was fixed, not on the fear of the battle, but on the reason to fight, were the ones who prevailed. It is my wish for you that you will soon find the peace with which to shape the purpose that will drive you in this battle.

(CNSNews.com) – Just two days after President Barack Obama gave a sharply edged response to news anchor Larry Conners of KMOV in St. Louis after Conners had asked the president about Americans who “get frustrated and even angered when they see the first family jetting around [to] different vacations and so forth,” Obama told a panel at the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia that part of his job there was to scout out locations for a future vacation with First Lady Michelle Obama.

Deej, through all of our “fights” here at the Rott I’ve always respected you and enjoyed how exceptionally good you were at “stirring the pot”. And I still remember all those years ago when you helped a neophyte ludite with a computer issue. No questions asked, just cuz I was a Rott.

My point was that because of my age coupled with the lack of connections, I have a lower priority score on the list.
Thanks for the comments, but please understand that I do NOT want to be treated any differently. The announcement you all read was my wife’s doing, not mine. We had debated this yesterday and I was against it. She apparently went ahead and posted it anyways, and then told me about it this morning.
I have my own way of coping with this. I am not ignoring it, but I don’t want every conversation I’m in to start with “how are you feeling?”, or “I am praying for you”. I am not ready for that yet.
I am also not giving up. I have had surgery, I have been ablated, radiated, cooked, and poisoned. I am still doing chemo sessions in an effort to slow things down. While my chances of getting a donor is around thirty percent, it is still better than zero percent. I also have an option of getting a Hep C organ that has been radiated but that comes with its own set of risks and I am not quite ready for that either.
Most of the time I am feeling fine. It is only for the few days after chemo that I am really sick. I am told that will probably change as time goes on though. But I am still hoping for a donor organ that is a close enough match to overcome the age thing. (it is all about scoring, and I have become a number in a giant lottery)
So if you have never done me a favor, I only ask that everyone not make a big deal out of this.

I guess if the phony, corrupt, dishonest and, racist little messiah had a ounce of decency, integrity and, fairness in his body – he would make Buffett an example of what not to do, rather than attempting to bamboozle voters into believing a manufactured lie like the ‘buffet rule’ would help pay down the deficit.
As Mark Steyn reported, it would take 562 years alone for the buffet rule to make a dent into the deficit.
On the other hand the little ‘one’ pays less taxes than his secretary, taking advantage of loop holes not to pay HIS fair share. Obama should study the label ‘hypocrite’!
Additionally, how is it that 33 of obamas’ employees are owing back taxes for years and, yet not a peep?

Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the concern, I do. But I do not want to be the person people feel sorry for. I have lived a good, and very interesting life, and every day I’ve had has been gravy. Even now, through my illness, it has been a blast. Nobody lives for ever, and while I do not believe in the classical version of life-after-death, I do believe in the concept of a higher level of consciousness or spirit. The absence of such really makes no sense when you consider the level of awareness we have at the moment.
I have never been afraid of death. Never. To me, it is not an ending, but another step in a journey.

I heard the audio clip of Obama defending his vacations with the excuse that he’s “trying to raise a family” and that it’s all the Secret Service’s fault. They make them do it. What does raising a family have to do with unnecessarily spending millions of our dollars on his family? Since when are Michelle’s and the girls’ “vacations”, frequent as they are, necessary to “raising a family”? “joyrides on AF1?” , “pizza nights flown in ? ,Chicago date nights?, etc etc
Does the average struggling American working man or woman have the option to go on several vacations (17) within several months(39) because he feels entitled to MY money for raising his family?
I view these vacations as in-your-face “what’re you gonna do about it?” behavior, typical of Obama. It would be just like him to say “Screw off. I won.” And he’d get away with it, too.
