I Pray I’m Being Paranoid
A Sanford PD cruiser, parked in an elementary school as a decoy, was shot up today. Reporting parties stated that they heard approximately 6 gunshots. Responding officers found two bullet holes in the cars windshield.
Last week a man I know returned home to find a car parked half in the street, half in his yard. He called his HOA who had the car towed. When the owner, a young male black, found his car gone, he charged the front door and started showing his “hoodness” and street cred. When he realized that my friend was behind the door, he yelled “C’mon you fuckin’ cracker, shoot me like you did Trayvon!” The universally understood sound of a .12 ga pump gun made him realize that may become a reality and knocked some common sense into the thug. He become a little more civilized and left.
That’s just one anecdotal example among countless other, more serious, cases happening around the country. The race hustlers of the victim industry are pushing for a race war. This time they may get it. And right in the middle of an election year.

One of two things would have happened. He would have beat feet or made a dumb move and began assuming ambient temperature. Either one would have worked for me.
Sometimes I think it is a good thing I don’t own any weapons, but these days I wish I had the money to own at least three. I would like something in mid range, shotgun and something in a handgun. Seems most of you guys have a preference for a .45.

Yes, there are going to be civil wars in this country. Race will be one, but don’t count the Hispanics in our tent, they’ll take up their own arms against everyone else. They’re already cleansing parts of LA of its black community. They’ll get to the whites too sooner or later.
The other civil war will come when the budget has to be slashed to reduce the deficit and some of these social programs have to be cut. The moochers usually don’t fight, they leave that up to the looters. But when they get cut off, they’ll rise up like the violent animals that they are.

CannonFodder, I would suggest that you start with a good pump shotgun when building your arsenal. It is the easiest to learn and least expensive to purchase which means you can buy lots of ammo to practice. You must practice, practice and then practice some more. If you anticipate being in a life or death situation you must be able to manipulate the safety, work the slide, shoot accurately, reload quickly, clear jams etc.
First educate yourself – go to backwoodshome.com and and read Mr. Ayoob’s articles, he is one of the finest gunwriters in America. Second, if you are inexperienced with firearms, find a mentor in your area or join a club. You can’t learn it all yourself, seek the accumulated wisdom of others.This is especially important if you are buying used guns – bring an expert with you to examine their functionality and wear. Third, practice, practice, practice. Hitting your target is everything, especially in an urban environment where a miss could kill an innocent bystander.
If you have prior experience with handguns, make sure whatever you select has similar controls to what you’re used to. Case in point, I have fired about 50,000 rounds from my CZ75 and Para-Ord P14-45 in IPSC practice and competition. Both these pistols have a safety that you sweep downward with your thumb to allow the gun to fire. Rugers and some S&W autos have a safety that works in the opposite direction, you have to push up with the thumb to take the safety off. It screws me everytime I pick up my buddy’s Ruger I sweep the safety to the on position as I align the sights. Later this summer I will be buying a Ruger 1911 for IPSC if Ruger has cleared its backlog.
By the way, the long gun registry is kaput in Canada. The bill received royal assent April 5th. Tomorrow I will be
purchasing a Mossberg 20ga Bantam slugster for deer season.

I wouldn’t count on the senior ranks, and they are already starting to have grumbling in the ranks. Not the usual griping, but grumbling along the lines of “When does the domestic part of enemies, foreign and domestic” kick in?
There’s one marine in serious trouble about that now. It’s just reaching the public awareness, but I’ve been hearing about it from people in “The know” for a good 2 years.
There’s also the fact that the military will do almost anything to prevent a repeat of the “Blue and Grey” situation when the army split prior to the ACW. Best case, they stay on their bases and wave posse commitatus in front of jug ears. Worst case, they remove him themselves and put in a caretaker until new elections could be held. (Figure 90 days)
The commanders long ago learned never to issue an order that wont’ be obeyed. The order to move against American citizens in a martial law situation? That’s an order that would not be obeyed by most of the military.

Havng more ammo than I can lift is nice…..way more. The M1A .308 and the Mosin 91-30 ammo alone are bad, or is it good enough, then two twelve pumps, one a Mossie 500……….well, for rodents and such a Savage .22 bolt action, love that piece, sentimental sort of thing, an 1894 .44 Mag lever action Marlin……..smack something damn hard at close to mid ranges…and of course the trusty .45 and .357….one semi-auto, the other a wheel gun. I’m an old fashioned sort, loving the old guns for their beauty, the new ones for their capabilities…But……something weird, like say a .44 Mag snubbie……I think I need more pistols……and friendly bodies to fire them if necessary…..

I have had surgery to both shoulders and my right wrist. Needless to say I can not withstand the recoil of a 12 and where I live is a no centerfire zone so my choices are the 20 or a muzzleloader. I already have a blackhawk spec-ops recoil reducing stock and the shotgun is in the mail, should be here tomorrow (rubs hands in anticipation).
Now I just have to choose a red dot type sight and I’ll have my deer rig.
My neighbour bought my 20ga 870 off me 11 years ago when it looked like I would never fire a gun again and he has taken a deer every season but one when he didn’t hunt due to pneumonia.

Right there with ya Cave, the only things I’m properly stocked on is. 22 and 12 ga. I have the brass ready to go to get to 10,000 but money has prevented the buying of bullets, powder, and primers. I also need to find a rainy afternoon to fire up the pot and pour some. 45 slugs.

i am retired and live in the middle of no where so i do a lot of reloading and shoot off my porch since i reload more than i shoot the stuff is begining to pile up.i have a large supply of food,water and medicine we have been buying land,gold and guns for years.i say screw bongo and his commies.oh don’t forget to buy some flechettes rounds for your 12 ga.because they defeat body armor.
