Another Big, Fat, RINO Establishment Lie

Bill Quick finds some hack outfit giving the following reason for Rubio seemingly being less likely to be the VP pick:

The decrease could be attributable to a sense that the senator, while popular among conservative activists, has yet to be vetted or tested nationally. Those fears are particularly acute among GOP officials after the selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain’s running mate four years ago, a decision that ultimately politically backfired on the Republican presidential nominee.

Oh it did, did it? “Backfired?”

Here’s what Palin’s nomination actually did do in the Imperial Household (and among just about every single other conservative who ended up reluctantly pulling for McStain): It kept us from staying at home grilling hamburgers on election day. If McStain and some other Establishment RINO fucknozzle statist cum-dumpster had been all there was on that ticket, that’s exactly what we’d have been doing.

So take your Narrative™ and shove it right up your Khyber Pass, then rotate for a while.

But not to worry. It looks like the RINO Establishment has found just the candidate to shore up Mittens ObamneyCare’s ticket by firing up the base.

*drumroll* Rob Portman.

We’ll give you His Majesty’s opinion on that momentarily but, in all fairness, we should probably Google a bit on him first to find out who in the name of Cthulhu’s hairy back he is.

We can feel the enthusiasm bubbling already.

This nation is fucked.

Thatisall.

I have a question for his exalted Rottiness.

Considering that Mittens ORomna is pretty much going to be the nominee, much to the delight of the old boy party, do you have any regrets about savaging candidates like Michelle Bachmann over not even tertiary issues like how she characterized the then hot gardasil “issue”? There may have been other factors that also weighed upon the scales that I don’t recall and yes I realize that the press with their willing accomplices in the GOP ruling junta destroyed all the preferable candidates in a most obscenely despicable and underhanded way

By smashing better candidates over non issues we played into the hands of a corrupt party hierarchy, who if you believe former republican congressman and hack Joe Scarborough, the same poisonously dishonest fucks(I am talking about the party operatives and not the so called pointy headed conservative “intelligentsia) who told us “Romney is the only electable candidate” don’t even think Romney can win and are preparing their offensive to blame people like us for that loss. This can be proven in any number of calls for the other candidates to concede or it will fatally damage a candidate that even the eminence grises of the party already think is fatally damaged. <a href=http://legalinsurrection.com/2012/04/if-romney-loses-to-obama-it-will-be-because-of-his-supporters-not-his-opponents/Or perhaps even in this article

Of course Romney’s, and by extension the establishment’s, non stop noxious scorched earth tactics will never ever be blamed. After all just like with liberals they spout any amount of calumny and slander and then expect civility and support in return. If Romney loses it is because the party hierarchy put control of the party over winning the general election as they accept the obvious fallacy that the country will survive four more years of Obama and remain a representative constitutional republic. It was more important for them to put the TEA party hobbitts in their place than actually call an obvious marxist on his clearly malevolent attitude towards and wanton destruction of this country. If they think they will be allowed to wield unauthorized power as Obama has they really need to be put in the home for the criminally insane.

I’m not asking to be snarky. All who inhabit these environs can now see that Bachmann or Perry would be light years better than any who remain but we were goaded into shredding these candidates for an idea that even the RINO’s in charge don’t believe.

The GOP(Gutless Old Pussies) has bought into the media meme that conservatism is poison so often, not because they are stupid, but because they, themselves actually have the same mindset. Modern conservatism is antithetical to government power. Political parties regardless of name seek to enhance it.
The GOP doesn’t even in the remotest sense believe in limited government(see Paul Ryan budget). They just believe they can administer it more effectively. Like with communists, socialists, fascist and islamists, Republican and Democrats do not differ in kind just degree. And with all the above they all believe in the primacy of totalitarian governance they just disagree as to who should be running it.

The damned GOP has one helluva stable for the underticket and they go with an unknown for crissake.

You still don’t get it, do you? The GOP never really intended to win in 2012. Why else do you suppose we’ve had to watch the Cirque de So Crazy going on for the past several months with the B and C teams running? The “A” teams aren’t getting involved in this race.

Rubio is keeping his powder dry for 2016. So is Christie. Neither one of them want to be considered for VP this time around because it isn’t in their interest for a Republican to gain the White House right now.

I still maintain that Romney is Bob Dole Redux — a place holder. It is pathetic to watch both Ron Paul and Newt Gingrich think that they can somehow walk into the convention and take the nomination. Even Santorum never entered this race to win, and was surprised to actually win a couple of states.

No, 2016 is the year to watch. I don’t think the GOP has abandoned you at all, but are just playing the long game. They will focus mostly on shoring up the Congressional gains this time around, a MAJOR push on the 2014 Congressional race, and a all-out push for the 2016 election.

This is why the GOP appears to be shooting itself in the foot by pushing for Romney at this point. They are trying to position themselves for a stronger hold in four years. I think that virtually everyone knows that this isn’t a great time right now, and things are very likely to go South economically again for the next two years. It isn’t a good time to be occupying the White House — for anyone. I’d be willing to bet that even Obama, if given a viable choice, would rather be somewhere else.

We always have the knack of electing the right people at the right time in history. They might not be someone you agree with ideologically, but looking backwards, they WERE the right person for that period of time.

I think that you would be hard-pressed to elect Ronald Reagan right now. Or even Jack Kennedy, or LBJ. None of them would fit this time and space. Sometimes you DO need to fill a hole with bullshit and straw. The GOP figures that they would rather it be the Democratic bullshit and straw than the Republican bullshit and straw — at least for THIS four year stretch.

It is a strategy, and like it or not, it is about power. As much as one side accuses the other side of being “power-hungry” or “power-grabbers”, at the end of the day that is exactly what it boils down to for everyone. POWER.

Personally, I don’t really see that there would be ANY real difference in any of our lives based on who is sitting in the White House and Congress. If the Right comes into full power in 2013 you can bet your ass that they will try to implement the exact same things that the Left has been trying to do, and the Left will try to block them. We are foolish to think otherwise.

Okay, gotta git out of here. I am hopping on my bike for a road trip down the Oregon coast and back.

Fair question, even though I don’t recall tearing into better candidates over irrelevant issues, I’ve actually, I believe, been rather good about dismissing such smoke and mirror non-issues, but as a larger point it certainly does apply. It has been endlessly frustrating to me to watch people allegedly on our side tearing into good candidates over such bullshit as Bachmann’s “wild eyes”, Perry’s obvious failings if he were a Jeopardy contestant rather than a presidential candidate, endless attempts by Obamney Scorched Earth Mittens to lie, smear and defame Newt by suggesting that he was an “opponent” of Reagans, ridiculous hyperventilating about Santorum’s religious beliefs which have nothing to do with what he can and cannot do as president etc. etc.

I DID tear into Bachmann over her ridiculous Tardasil anecdote, and I make no apologies for that. I don’t care how wonderful a candidate may or may not be on other issues, but if they start making up obvious bullshit on the fly such as a story about a 12-year-old getting retarded as a result of a vaccination, then they’re dead to me. We don’t need a new Liar-in-Chief, even if she might claim she was lying with “good intentions.”

The issue about Perry and his failed attempts to make Gardisil vaccinations mandatory was a valid one. I and hundreds of thousands of other Texans bombarded the Governor with hate mail over that one, and he deserved every bit of it. So he backed down and apologized for overreaching, explaining why he’d felt so strongly about it in a way that was both believable and honest. We’re all human and get carried away at times with our good intentions, the difference is whether we’re big and honest enough to listen when our friends tell us that we done fucked up and whether we can find it in ourselves to acknowledge error and back the fuck off. Perry could, which is why I’ve always liked the man. I never expected him to be perfect, I only ever expected him to represent the people who put him in office. This he has never failed to do, even if he’s strayed a couple of times.

But that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t a relevant issue that she could have brought up, even though I might ask myself why the fuck she’s trying to damage a fellow conservative with an issue that is looooong since water under the bridge and was resolved to the full satisfaction of his constituents when she should have been firing both barrels at Mittens McStatist ObamneyCare 24/7, something she, curiously I might add, never even tried to do.

Where I draw the line is with candidates making shit up. We’ve seen enough of that from Mittens McLiarLiarPantsOnFire Obamney, we don’t need that kind of bullshit from conservatives. It speaks to their utter lack of honesty and I cannot in good conscience support a candidate with a history of playing fast and loose with the truth, no matter who the candidate is.

    But I digress…

Yes, I HAVE been massively frustrated with “our side” buying into the Enemy Media Narrative™ on numerous other occasions. Not just because it’s counter-productive, but because anybody with at least the IQ of a turnip ought to know that if it appears in the Enemy Media, chances are about 99.9999% that it’s a lie or misdirection, so we should just loudly ignore every single word they say except to rebut, ridicule and mock them.

This country will never recover until the Enemy Media has been destroyed, and I do mean “destroyed” in the literal fashion. I want every legal means deployed in destroying whatever tenuous threads of credibility they may still desperately hang on to, I want them hounded, mocked, ridiculed, hung out to dry, sued into oblivion until every single one of the traitor jackasses are either bankrupt, have committed suicide or both.

THEN we can start rebuilding this nation.

I was talking about the 2010 elections where Republicans retook the House. They WERE gains, politically speaking, and frankly, the only reason they gained that much in the first place is because the Left pretty much stayed home.

But THINK about this for a moment, Misha. What good is having the presidency if you don’t have Congress? Congress is the REAL power, not the Executive. Congress can do a lot without the president, but the president can’t do much of anything without Congress.

Let’s say that Romney somehow manages to pull off a win this November and becomes president in January. If the Senate is still Democrat, and/or if the Republicans get turned out of the House, Romney’s choices are few and ineffectual. Sure, he could run off some executive orders, but those are really limited. He could veto bills hitting his desk, but if there is enough votes in Congress to override them, then he has nothing. He could propose all sorts of things, and Congress can choose to ignore him.

So the first order of business for the GOP is to put Congress together, just like the Democrats did in 2006.

Remember, us Liberals had the same dire predictions in 2004 when we felt abandoned by the DNC, and felt that the apocalypse was just around the corner when Bush was re-elected. Yet here we sit, not in great condition, but still in the same general decline that has been going on for the past thirty some-odd years.
