Dear God, please bring our sister through the physical afflictions you have allowed to be visited upon her. Give her physicians the wisdom and insight needed to bring their best efforts to that end. And in all things, not our will, but yours, Father. Amen.

Thank you guys. You are amazing! I’ll keep you updated. So far, no new crises and, G-d willing, although we had another clot today worse then the other ones but that’s under control now it seems, she’ll be in therapeutic range shortly and back home with her family.
As to the financial side. I can’t begin to express my gratitude, but please please please don’t go out of your way. We’re alright at this point and there are so many other people, a lot of yourselves included I’m sure, who need help a lot more than we do right now.
We are of course greatly appreciative. We can’t, my entire family, as a matter of fact, thank you enough, but I also can’t stress enough how the main thing is the warming, encouraging thought of all of you just being there. Every prayer, every good wish, every kind word. It means more than the world and I know that even if things, G-d forbid, get worse, we’ll be alright. Nobody can ever be defeated with people like all of you on their side.
G-d’s will be done, and we’ll pull through. This is nothing compared to what thousands of families go through every day, and we have the moral support of the best people in the world. Already I’m hopeful that this will be over soon and things will get back to normal and, if they do, I’ll know who to thank for it as well as G-d. I’m scared, of course, though not as scared as my beloved wife, but I also know that we have a lot of great people cheering for us.

Having myself just come from the local ER (after spending 400$ just to get some damn antibiotics and pain killers) I just now find this. Prayers have been and will continue to be sent. I know I can’t offer much in the way of physical support, but spiritually I am there.
I am relieved and thankful to hear that Sophie is on the road to recovery. Thanks be to God!
I also have to say that I am honored to be in the company of such damn fine people … Rotties are the best!
I woke up this morning, clearing the amnesia from my head, then thought of Sophie. The computer loaded up as I tended to tasks all too familar, The Lords Prayer running through my mind….This ones for Sophie, Lord……the Rott popped up…….
Wondering how Misha’s sons are doing, remembering what I felt once at their age, fear and uncertainty.
In a very real sense this proves a trip down memory lane, grateful all suffering is over, saddened with the final result.
And I remember the fear, both personal and financial……
How blessed I felt knowing I could prove of assistance…….
Remembering what all of you did……..
Misha is right……pacing Stanfords corridors for months at a time, more than once the thought of all of you giving me strength…..just knowing, they are out there, caring and watching.
Despite my best efforts to the contrary, you people brought out the best in me……I honestly don’t know how I did it. I truly don’t.
I have little doubt Misha and the offspring will spoil Sophie rotten on her return home. There may be some permanent changes, medical needs and such. Stock up, Sire. I hope she runs with it…queen of the house, also knowing The Boss will never look at his wife the same way again……
How fortunate and privileged I feel knowing I have earned the title….Rottie……

Thank you, all of you, once again. Your prayers and kind thoughts have worked, once again. She had no crises since yesterday, the clot appears stable and her INRs are therapeutic, so they released her on strict bed rest and she’s back where she belongs, thank G-d!
Now all that remains is the long wait for the original clot to dissolve and disappear, which is frightening enough, but we’re moving in the right direction!

The clots were caused by a DVT which started dissolving and breaking up after she’d been discharged the first time over a week ago after less than 24 hours of observation. Not too happy about that, to put it very mildly. All was well for a few days when suddenly she started getting chest pain, which is when we had to go back to the hospital (a different one this time!), where they found the PEs, followed by yet another one yesterday. But she’s been stable for 24 hours and her INRs are where they should be, so they let her come home on condition that she doesn’t do anything. Spoiling time
