“I don’t care about the poor, they already have a safety net.”

Thus spake Mittens “Inevitable” RomneyCare and from that sentence, a million DNC ads were cut.

Heckuva Job, Mitty!

No, His Majesty doesn’t really give a fig about “context” here, because it’s not going to matter a fig to the wall-to-wall propagandists of the LeftStream Media from the moment Mittens Thurston Howell III clutches the nomination in his perfectly manicured plastic hands onwards, and if you think otherwise, then you need therapy. Or at the very least explain to us which planet you’ve been living on for those past, we don’t know, 40 years or so.

And believe you us: The ones who will decide this election, the mush-headed “moderates”, will get that message loud and clear because it’s the only message they’ll be hearing. Context, in this case, matters not at all, because nobody except for those of us who wouldn’t dream of voting for Ogabe anyway will even know that there is one.

Oh, and for bonus points: His “context” is wrong too.

Saying “not to worry, they got their food stamps and welfare checks” ISN’T, no matter how much you try to spin it, a conservative point of view. Saying “it will be my first priority to do everything I can to expand and encourage the economy so that the poor without a job can get one and those who already have one will be able to get one that pays better” IS, on the other hand, exactly what conservatism is all about.

We don’t throw fishes at the starving poor. We teach them to FISH. The former is the standard socialist statist claptrap that the leftists have been carping about for decades, so it really is no surprise that Mittens RomneyCare keeps singing from the same hymnal. It’s the only one he truly knows. His current faux conservatism, on the other hand, is only what he’s been able to pick up on the fly, so all you’re really seeing is a trained seal trying to show a new trick when he tries to appear “conservative.”

And this is the clown that the RINOcracy calls “inevitable” and keeps telling us the “only one who can beat Obama?”

He’s already got more self-inflicted wounds than a horny hedgehog on Viagra and meth and his enemies haven’t even gotten started on him.

Come back and tell us how that worked out for you in November, will you, Cocktail Party?

Thatisall.

I’ve always found that phrase “social safety net” particularly galling since it’s such a boldfaced crock of shit.

Of course it comes from the same people who called racial hiring quotas and lowered standards “affirmative action” and the wholesale factory style slaughter of babies in the womb “reproductive freedom”.

Seriously, Misha, who else ya got? Gingrich? A preposterous, adulterous clown with the personal ethics of an opportunistic infection? A vainglorious dick who thinks he can bash the New York Times all the way to the Whitehouse? Mister Moonbase? He’s your Great White Hope? Come off it. Romney may not be the most electable candidate out there, but he’s like… Read more »

He’s already got more self-inflicted wounds than a horny hedgehog on Viagra and meth and his enemies haven’t even gotten started on him. Why should they? All they’ve had to do for the past months is sit on their arses and jet about delivering industrial weight lies about their ‘accomplishments’. The very nanosecond Shittens has to nod, they are going… Read more »

Muzzy – Imperial Ignorant Slut says: Mister Moonbase? Fuck you Fuckmuzzle. There are quite a few of us out here that think that’s a superb idea. The fact that we lost political will in the middle of the Apollo program and that a permanent base was not only feasible in the mid-70’s but would have been easy to accomplish. Pricey… Read more »

All comments worthy of comment of my own. But if I did, this would end up a major tome. :em08:

Jackboot: A moonbase would cost tens of billions of dollars, take decades, and promises little return on investment. Do you really think this is something the Federal Government should be spending money on during an economic crisis?

I believe that a return to creating THE preeminent manned space program on Earth is one of the BEST ways of spending tax dollars. It would provide thousands of high paying jobs, and perhaps even more importantly, revive a sense of exceptional-ism that this country has lost over the last twenty years or so. The return on Space investments has… Read more »

Muzzy, The naysayers said we would never get to the moon, too. Maybe in the UK it would take decades, but we have the technology and knowledge already. I, like JB and Jaybear, and many others, continue to be fascinated by all things space-related. Both JB’s…what pisses me off most is that the poseur-in-chief abandoned our guys in the ISS… Read more »

Moon my ass, let us start with a viable Earth Orbit capability. That could be done a very little Public cost by just getting NASA and the FAA’s boots off of the neck of private companies that are now trying desperatly to get into Space. Once we are viable to Earth Orbit as Robert Heinlein said “We are halfway to… Read more »

A moonbase is a second or third priority…first, you’d have to have a permanent presence in orbit. Once you’re in orbit, you’re halfway to anywhere in the universe. A lunar orbital facility…also permanently manned…would be second. Once we’re established in those two orbits, the solar system is ours. Next step…mining the fantastically rich LaGrange Points and the asteroid belts. It’s… Read more »

#18 Mark12A I would add the works of G. Harry Stine, “The Space Enterprise” and “Colonies in Space” to Pournelle. I would also note the advantages of being at the top of a gravity well. Kinetic Energy = 1/2 Mass times the Velocity squared. Acceleration in earth’s gravity = 32 feet per second every second. It is on average 237,087… Read more »

Not necessary to even wait.

It will turn out the same as it did four years ago when they last put forth a complete lilbtard to run against the libtard-in-chief.

Get ready for four more years, regardless of who wins.

Bolton or JIndal or Christie or West or Rubio

Bolton maybe. West I doubt.

Not sure about Jindal, but Rubio is not eligible under Constitutional law.

Christie is just another libtard pig. Talks tough against the union thugs, but a conservative he is not. You would be no better off than with Romneyfart.
