Another Triumph for Princess Hussein’s New “Smarter Diplomacy”

We still try to stay away from the Egyptian mess because we get tired of repeating over and over again that we were right from the start. It gets boring to always be right, you know.

But, for the value of sheer mockery, we feel strangely obliged to link to this piece at Hot Air which, once again, proves how right we were to predict that the “uprising of freedom-loving secular Egyptians” combined with the utterly inept handling by our current Retard-in-Chief would lead to nothing but the kind of situation that makes the word “clusterfuck” seem positively wonderful.

We mean, really. It’s not fucking rocket science we’re talking about here. We have a sub-sentient narcissist in charge of our foreign policy whose only track record on supporting actual public uprisings has been to utterly ignore the travails of the oppressed (Iran) and openly siding with a tyrant in open defiance of the law (Honduras).

What the fuck do you expect? Mahatma Gandhi?

Thatisall.

I hope and pray the Israelis have stocked up on guns, ammo and food for the duration. Until we have regime change here the Jews are no better off right now than they were in Germany circa 1938 (the only difference is that they will put hell’va fight). We’ve been their only REAL and TRUSTED friend since the founding of… Read more »

Would you be supporting a brutal dictator, or the people trying to get out from under that brutal dictator? Are you for democratic reforms in a country that has a leader who has rigged the election like Saddam Hussein? Support the dictator you know instead of the democracy you don’t? I think you suppose that the Muslim Brotherhood would offer… Read more »

Thank goodness <0 is as inept as he is–last news I saw suggested Mubarak and Suleiman are doing what most needs to be done–having allowed the MB and other pisslamist elements to rear their heads, thinking they smelled opportunity, they're about to get wacked thoroughly by intelligence and military. While it is unfortunate that the secular freedom demonstrators will also… Read more »

Step one…… Give the thumbs up to the protesters provided they keep it peaceful. Let it be known America stands with those that want freedom. Step two…… Denounce publicly the Muslim Brotherhood, let it be known that they will not trade with the US, get no help from the US etc… Pressure Europe to adopt the same line. Do what… Read more »

Response to Emperor Misha I @: The truly sad part of all of this is by not making a commitment to either strategy (backing Mubarak or going for broke and looking for a free democracy) we are now faced with the best case scenario of a quick military coup and one of the Egyptian generals taking over and acting very… Read more »

The “hands off”, “will of the people” approach didn’t work out too well for us with Iran, did it? Want to see that happen again?

I don’t, and I don’t care WHAT it is going to cost in hurt feelings abroad to avoid it.

Seconded.

Response to Emperor Misha I @: I agree we need to keep the Muslim Brotherhood out of the equation if we can. But I don’t know that we have much of a hand to play. That is my main concern. To play on the quote by Archimedes, I don’t know that we have either the fulcrum or the place to… Read more »

The best we can do right now is to position ourselves for whatever the outcome is.

I think President Bobblehead calls that “continuing to bear witness”.

Ok, so the military takes over. Invite all the MB leaders to a summit in Mubaraks palace. Once there, arrest them, and let them face the firing squad. MB problem solved.

Let’s be clear. it is the MUSLIMS who hate us and all of the western world. Muslims everywhere around the world hate us. This includes our sickening muslim-in-chief who squats in the Oval Office. Obama released another howler.

“Too many Egyptians remain unconvinced that the government is serious about a genuine transition to democracy,” Obama said, “and it is the responsibility of the government to speak clearly to the Egyptian people and the world.

Compared to Obama, Mubarak has been a rock of clarity.

It seems the Obama administration has also ignored our military’s close ties to the Egyptian military, which will likely play the role of king maker. Our generals should be talking to their generals, providing reassurance that stable democracies (which the protesters want) are fabulously hands-off about a country’s military structure – other than to set the budget and vote on… Read more »

I just read this one:

Looks like Hosni has his bags packed and is watching to see if he should stay or go. Sharm el-Sheikh is just a short hop from the South Camp you mentioned. If it goes bad for him, I’ll bet he will be hiding out with the MFO by sundown.

Here’s how I would play it:

Publicly hang Mubarak.
Once the public rejoicing of the populace is over,
invite the Muslim Brotherhood to a huge rally.
–Public at large not invited.
Then drop a lite tactical nuke on the bastards.
Situation resolved.
