Sarah Palin Lied!

OgabeCare’s Euthanasia Boards are not called “death panels”, they’re called “ethics panels!”

Other than that, she was spot on accurate, but… SHUT UP!

Caller: Basically what the document stated was that if you were over 70 and you’d come into an emergency room and you’re on government supported health care, that you’d get “comfort care”.

Mark Levin: Wait a minute…what’s the source for this?

Caller: This is Obama’s new health care plan for advanced neurosurgical care.

Mark Levin: And who issued this? HHS?

Caller: Yes. And basically they don’t call them patients, they call them units. And instead of – they call it “ethics panels” or “ethics committees”, would get together and meet and decide where the money would go for hospitals, and basically for patients over 70 years of age, that advanced neurosurgical care was not generally indicated.

Mark Levin: So it’s generally going to be denied?

Caller: Yes, absolutely. …If someone comes in at 70 years of age with a bleed in their brain, I can promise you I’m not going to get a bunch of administrators together on an ethics panel at 2 in the morning to decide that I’m OK to do surgery.

Maybe, in the Bright New World of Obafascism, they’ll just drop the “u” from euthanasia and call it “ethanasia” instead. Because then it’ll be completely diff‘runt and stuff. Plus, ETHICAL!

Is it time for the reset button yet?

Thatisall.

I mean the left just couldn’t call them death panels, could they? They had to dress that particular pig with a pretty face and a whole lot of lipstick.

Past time. Warm up the electric chair!

That they still dare to call it “Health Care” rather than the more proper term “Health Maintenance” is a bit of a surprise.

I want the sadistic bastards hatching this scheme to have to live under its mandates. I’d say many senators and reps are seventy or so…..what the hell, if its so good, show us, don’t tell us! Real cute set-up…..you have to buy insurance, yet govt conveniently provides an alternative if you cannot. Are we being herded like cattle? What better way to control the people?

“Political ethics” is as big an oxymoron as “rap music”. These “ethics committees” will be made up of politicians or political appointees, and will probably be composed mainly of accountants, not doctors. All those libs who objected to the privatization of Social Security because it would put control of SS in the hands of evil, immoral, unethical insurance companies seem to have no objection to putting medical decisions in the hands of a group of people with even fewer ethical compunctions than the insurance companies, i.e. the federal government.

So, with the SCOTUS spit between four Justices that believe in the rule of law and four wannabe Comrade Commissars any bets on which side of this issue Kennedy wakes up on? I mean after he goes to bed with the masturbatory delusion that he’s god almighty returned to spread his wet dog shit gospel?

A fellow Rottie sent a message through our back channel smoke signal communication center and one line stood out that applies here:

This person standing tonight in front of you could not exist under a socialist/communist environment. By the way, if you think socialism is the way to go, I am sure many people here will chip in to get you a one-way ticket out of here. And if you didn’t know, the only difference between socialism and communism is an AK-47 aimed at your head. That was my experience.

I have a feeling (like Misha and others) that the sheeple are going to learn that difference sooner than later.

When more than 50% of the population becomes dependent on the .gov, that means any person at random is more likely to be a drain on public resources than not. When that happens the .gov accountants must begin discussing ways to balance the books. If you dismiss out of hand the idea of telling these people that they simply can’t have everything they think they have a right to have other people provide for them, then the remaining solutions all ultimately end in a very ugly place, requiring some combination of slavery and mass murder.

this thing was the prime motivator in me getting my prostate cancer taken care of ASAP last year. ON the recommendation of both my doctor and the urologist/surgeon they warned me that treatment for early stage
prostate cancer was likely to be restricted in the near future.

While I think DJ is wrong to call bullshit on this, I think invoking the 48 hr. rule might be appropriate. While I don’t doubt the socialist shitheads in the administration have wet dreams about “ethics” panels, I would like to see a bit more proof, such as the caller giving a name so it can be determined if he actually is a neurosurgeon.

The AMA and the insurance companies made a major portion of this mess because they found a way to turn medicine into a money mill. When they instituted their plan in the late 50’s doctors’ fees were fixed for office visits, physicals, and standard immunizations. Municipalities operated general hospitals which are almost all gone. The solution would be a return to patients paying 100% of regular medical expenses which would be tax deductible for households with gross incomes below the poverty level. Physicians and hospitals would get full federal and state tax credits for providing care to people who cannot pay. Most doctors back then worked public health 1 or 2 days a month under those conditions and the best ones worked free more often because their practices were prosperous. Medical insurance would revert to what it was intended to cover, emergency and catastrophic care and surgery. With claim processing reduced substantially, costs will come down on all fronts. Would you rather have a situation like that or Dr. Berwick deciding His world is better without you?
