Also, I really need to get on top of this inbox of mine so emails like the one I just got from Azy won’t go unanswered for this long. Azygos, brother, I’m sorry I didn’t get around to it until today, but this is when I first saw it.
Azygos and his wife, as so many others, have hit on some exceedingly hard times as the employer they contracted with decided not to pay them for six months worth of work. As a result, they’re both flat broke and, being self-employed, have nowhere to turn to. And when I say “flat broke”, I mean as in “no money for food or gas.”
Obviously, prayers would be most welcome, but if you can find a few rusty shekels under the sofa cushions, those would be very welcome too.
Just put in “For Azy” if you use the Donate button on the left sidebar and it will get to them.
I would if I could, but I’m pretty much in the same boat on Shit Creek.
And my oars have rotted away.
So if your employer just decides not to pay you, isn’t there legal recourse?
LC Xystus says:
I would think so, but your creditors aren’t going to extend your credit pending legal resolution. Hopefully they end up owning his butt, though.
Done Misha, rotties don’t let rotties go hungry. More than anything, I was given hope and a hand up…….passing it on. Azy can sue, or shoot his former employer as is seen fit, in the meantime there are bills to pay and food to eat.
Done. Wasn’t much, as I’ve been through a pretty amazing ordeal myself. Just had my 29th surgery on my kidney/ureter/bladder. My wife and I are so grateful for the love and help that we’ve received through this situation, and we’ve vowed to pass it on whenever we can.
I would definitely look into a legal recourse, Az. If it’s more money than small claims courts will allow, try working with an attorney who will work pro bono. In the meantime, I will dedicate all of my prayers for you today. It will be okay— *huge hug* OT, Radical Redneck, I have a new email addy. Just click on… Read more »
I’ve not got a pot to piss in, or a window to throw it out of, but if anyone needs computer work done, I’ll donate everything above cost to the cause. Azy can vouch for my work.
Paying it forward. On its way Boss
As with nearly everyone else, I can’t send much, but it should help to put gas in his car, at least.
Done. Just pay it forward, dude.
Reading these responses strikes a chord in me. You don’t think as you run through your daily life how lucky and blessed you are until you read something like this. I know the Rotties are scattered all over the world, but if you ever happen to be in the nation’s capital, look me up.
Sent what I can. not much but if you’re not extravagant it should get a weeks groceries.
Just another opportunity to help without assisting one of the many, many unworthy professional charities.
email me boss……..I reckon I can help a bit. Use the last addy we used.
Glad to be able to help. I like the point about it going direct, bypassing the charity racket.
Well, crap, let’s see if I can find an oar, will let you know.
Consider it done 🙂
And prayers sent on angel’s wings.

Breach of contract, fraud, unjust enrichment, potentially deceptive trade practices act violations, etc. If he was a subcontractor on a construction project,… Read more »
Thanks, all, you never cease to amaze me.
I’ve sent on what I’ve got so far (rounded up a bit) and I just want to, once again, emphasize how you all impress and humble me.
