Roe v Wade and Gosnell’s House of Horrors

It appears that His Majesty needs to clarify himself a bit regarding his last post, judging by some of the responses.

When I said that Gosnell is not about Roe v Wade I meant it and still do. It’s about a sick, sadistic, greedy, sociopathic animal AND it is about criminal negligence on the part of the government of Pennsylvania.

What I do not mean to say is that Roe v Wade and the entire pro-abortion culture have nothing to do with it whatsoever. It is, of course, quite true that, if it hadn’t been for Roe v Wade, it would not have been as easy for an animal like Gosnell to run his business. It wouldn’t have been impossible, unsafe, inhumane and unsanitary abortionists had been around for quite a while before that (as a matter of fact, in a case of supreme irony, many in the pro-Roe v Wade crowd used that as an argument in favor of legalizing infanticide and still do), but it certainly made it easier for him.

But it wasn’t Roe v Wade that authorized Gosnell to run a butcher shop. What he did was illegal. As illegal under Roe v Wade as it would have been if Roe v Wade had never become law. There’s a very important point there.

Are you going to argue that increasing availability of something is to blame for the actions of the few who make use of this increased availability to commit crimes? If so, you’ve just found a whole bunch of new friends in the Brady Campaign.

It’s also true that the Holy Cow of Abortion which was born out of Roe v Wade was a huge part of the reason why the government of Pennsylvania decided to ignore numerous independent complaints and reports because they were deadly afraid of offending the abortion on demand crowd, and if that meant that a few hundred or thousand babies were to be tortured to death, then so be it.

But unless you’re looking to come up with a defense for the government of Pennsylvania, I would strongly suggest that you think twice about pushing that angle too far. There is no excuse for what they did or, more accurately, FAILED to do. Willingly AND knowingly. Criminal negligence and accessory to mass murder. Period. Full stop. No excuse.

So that’s what I meant.

Roe v Wade is horrible, atrocious law and I will never be truly happy unless I see it repealed and thrown on the garbage heap of history. How the imbeciles who made it law were ever allowed near a bench is beyond the comprehension of sentient beings.

If the horrible crimes of Gosnell and his willing accomplices in the government of Pennsylvania make us, as a nation, start reconsidering our laissez-faire approach to infanticide then that’s a good thing. A wonderful thing.

But the ones on trial here are Gosnell and the government of Pennsylvania.

Thatisall.

    Folks –
This atrocity is in my backyard – I’m just outside (thankfully) phylthedelphia – and it seriously appears that the facts that said “doctor” was (a) A privileged minority – the same as the management of philly (b) “spreading the wealth around” in the neighborhood and was (c) known as a “go to” guy when the locals needed “help”. No surprise – he also supported the local “D” establishment. Almost any “agency” operating out of philly is more than happy to look the other way, or not even come on to the premises if you invoke the “Franklin” rule: A Ben Franklin or two in an unmarked envelope.
I personally would like to see this shitbag hung from a lamppost and his body cut down at sundown, to be thrown on a garbage heap for the crows.

But that ain’t happinin’ – not in this town.

Roe vs Wade is crap. It’s this idea that something not mentioned anywhere in the Constitution (abortion) is some sort of inalienable human right. The irony of this is rather disgusting. I’m fully in agreement that the reason Gosnell’s actions were more or less ignored and allowed to continue was precisely what you mention here. I.e. the Left won’t tolerate anything that even looks like mild disapproval of abortion.

Abortion has become too much of a national issue, in my opinion. No one would be voting for, say, President of the United States based solely on the guy’s views on abortion… but that’s what happens, quite often. The Constitution has a built in safety valve for this sort of thing by assigning things not mentioned in the document to the States and the people themselves.

It’s my personal crusade, so to speak, to overturn Roe vs. Wade and send the issue back to the states for them to individually allow or ban based on their constituencies. Outlawing abortion at a federal level would be a bad idea, but so is sanctioning it at a federal level.

Either way, asshats like Gosnell need to be found and strung up by their testicles.

I was reading one thread on this where the commenter said that in the Grand Jury report (which I can’t read) states she played with the baby for several minutes before snipping its spinal cord.

    No Words.

Both Philadelphia and Harrisburg are in desperate need of an urban redevelopment program.
    I recommend carpet-bombing with HE,WP, and Napalm.

Personally, my Santa’s wish list includes, (but is not limited to) a GMLRS battery. Perhaps that would help
keep the vile, corrupt shitweasels in Harrisburg on their toes.

I wonder if Gosnell is aware of the irony that, originally, abortion was encouraged to get rid of blacks in our society. As staunchly pro-life as I am, I find myself wishing that HIS mother had opted for abortion.

Precisely why this makes one even more sick to his very soul. It comes down to human life vs. appearances, entirely for political benefit. This ‘perceived’ notion extended into the myriad bureaucrats in state government making it all the more vile and disgusting. They had NOTHING to gain or lose by enforcing the law as they don’t depend on politics to keep their jobs, the same jobs that they were so willing to derelict.
