If it wasn’t so sad, it would be hilariously funny. OK, we take it back. It’s hilariously fucking funny no matter how you put it.

The liberals are bent out of shape because Glenn Beck has accurately quoted Frances Fox Piven (yes, THAT Piven, of Cloward-Piven infamy), the well-known radical leftist known for, apart from her and Cloward’s plan to deliberately destroy society to bring about La Revolucion, being a violent, howling moonbat constantly calling for The People to rise in violence against the government, Cheney, Big Oil or the Evil Pharmaceutical companies who keep the prices up on her Thorazine.

Somebody calling themselves, in a fit of irony so thick you can use it as ballistic armor, the Center for Constitutional Rights, have written a nasty-gram to FOX insisting that they put a gag order on Glenn Beck’s “evil” habit of quoting people accurately because it, wait for it, has led to “death threats” against poor, violent, radical, violence-inciting Frances.

The “Center for Constitutional Rights” calling for a TV station to muzzle themselves… The mind boggles. Apparently the scholastically impaired suckweasels at said center didn’t even make it all the way through the First Amendment before they went forth on their holy crusade against telling the truth about liberals.

Oh, and that’s just the beginning of Teh Stupid™ in this one.

We mean, where to begin? Calling quoting people accurately “inciting to violence” against an individual who has spent her entire professional life actually inciting to violence…

Of course, this is not about making sense. It’s about keeping Teh Narrative™ alive, which clearly states that only conservatives incite to violence, even when they don’t, and that the only solution, The New Civility™ as it’s called, is to tell all conservatives to shut up and quit inconveniencing the liberal propaganda mills with their annoying insistence on telling the truth.

You can take your “new civility” and shove it so far up your arses that it sees daylight, and you can kindly take any and all so-called “thoughtful and pragmatic conservatives” ball-less and stupid enough to play along with your obvious spiel and shove them up there as well, because we sure as Hades don’t have any use for them.

Thatisall.

Where was their outrage when Sarah Palin was being raked over the coals for something she had nothing whatsoever to do with? Oh, wait….

If standards are good, then double standards must be twice as good.

The “New Civility”, newspeak for “shut up”, because even they dare not call it censorship.

I have a feeling that FOX is going to take their “new civility” and shove it.

Here’s a juicy bit of snark from David Kahane on National Review Online. But no — you knuckle-dragging troglodytes resist us at every turn, and have the temerity to actually fight back when we assault you. We pinch and poke and prod and provoke, and when you’ve finally reached the end of your ropes and fight back, we scream bloody… Read more »

You want to talk about inciting violence, consider the fruit Beck’s scapegoating of Piven is bearing: Glenn Beck Targets Frances Fox Piven From the article: “On the afternoon of January 6, Frances Fox Piven, a distinguished professor, legendary activist, writer and longtime contributor to this magazine, received an e-mail from an unknown correspondent. There was no text, just a subject… Read more »

You cannot win a defensive war. It is long past time to do more than respond…turn up the heat, keep it there and to hell with civility. It doesn’t exist in the liberal mind. You resist you’re either intolerant ,racist, bigoted or hateful… Get your beatings worth……it works on the street……you go after them, stay after them, all the while… Read more »

What? No title with “Peace and Justice” in it? I’m starting to worry about these commies. Perhaps it’s in line with :em72: “Teh New Civility[TM]” :em72:

From The Nation: (I did the dirty work so you won’t have to) Third, protesters need targets, preferably local and accessible ones capable of making some kind of response to angry demands. This is, I think, the most difficult of the strategy problems that have to be resolved if a movement of the unemployed is to arise. Protests among the… Read more »

Third, protesters need targets

Odd thing; protesters tend to bunch up. Providing a target-rich environment, thinking they are invulnerable.
Silly rabbit, bunches are for grapes.

Muzzy says: You want to talk about inciting violence, consider the fruit Beck’s scapegoating of Piven is bearing: The real question is: Why don’t you people have a problem with this? First of all, you’re operating on the assumption that your assessment of Beck is correct. It is not. But I’ll humor you. The left in this country has been… Read more »

Regarding the case of G. Beck, alleged corrupter of silly minds: Not having studied the art in question, I prefer to avoid decisive pronouncements. Beck fails to explain his reference to Mussolini–but, back in the ’30s, when Communism was cool, Il Duce also had admirers here, reportedly including FDR himself. As for the infamous Rivera mural, I learned about it… Read more »

Glenn has been pointing out how evil Piven is for at least a year or more, odd how now, in our post New Civility™ world the left is playing this card.

Inquiring minds want to know.
