Amazing What Political Contributions Bribes Can Get You

While everybody is hyperventilating over how Merck allegedly bought an executive order for the bargain basement price of $5,000, news trickle out that the $535,000,000 of our money that Ogabelini gave to a company heavily backed by one of his chief bundlers bag men were not merely thrown out there for “services rendered”, but were actually rushed out there so Dear Old Demented Uncle Joe “Choo Choo” Biden could have his photo-op.

The Obama White House tried to rush federal reviewers for a decision on a nearly half-billion-dollar loan to the solar-panel manufacturer Solyndra so Vice President Biden could announce the approval at a September 2009 groundbreaking for the company’s factory, newly obtained e-mails show.

Oopsie. Seems a steep price for a photo-op but, then again, Ear Leader wasn’t spending his own money. Speaking of which, when was the last time he actually did spend any of his own money?

Solyndra collapsed two weeks ago, leaving taxpayers liable for the $535 million loan.

Heckuva job, Barry! Oh, and notice how the Washington Compost cleverly used “nearly half-billion” a bit ago to describe $535 million? Nothing factually wrong with that, the two numbers are near each other, mathematically speaking, but usually you mean “slightly less than” when you use “nearly”, or maybe we’re the only ones doing so.

One e-mail from an OMB official referred to “the time pressure we are under to sign-off on Solyndra.” Another complained, “There isn’t time to negotiate.”

“We have ended up with a situation of having to do rushed approvals on a couple of occasions (and we are worried about Solyndra at the end of the week),” one official wrote. That Aug. 31, 2009, message, written by a senior OMB staffer and sent to Terrell P. McSweeny, Biden’s domestic policy adviser, concluded, “We would prefer to have sufficient time to do our due diligence reviews.”

Fuck that noise! Uncle Joe has some speechifying to do, so you just cut the damn check right now!

White House officials said Tuesday that no one in the administration tried to influence the OMB decision on the loan. They stressed that the e-mails show only that the administration had a “quite active interest” in the timing of OMB’s decision.

And we all know that “quite active interest” comes with absolutely no pressure attached, particularly when the “quite active interest” comes from the White House.

No pressure! Honest!

Another half a billion down the drain, thanks to Ear Leader. Another half a billion dollars charged to our children’s credit cards that they haven’t even been approved for yet.

Life’s good under National Democrat Socialism.

Thatisall.

Oh, and don’t forget to report us to AttackWatch. We command you!

Kapo Rep. Henry Waxman-D is on a roll!

“My understanding is that Solyndra applied for this loan in 2006 when Bush was President,”

What Waxman fails to mention is the fact that the loan was denied by the Bush Administration.

Of course the Dept. of Energy is in full CYA mode and insisting that the loan wasn’t rejected by the Bush Administration but “remanded it back for further analysis”.

Heh. I’ll have to remember that one the next time some panhandler hits me up for spare change. :em05:

    Blame It On Bush

It will be interesting to see if the republicans in the House actually have the balls to pursue this. My guess is that Weepy McBoner et al will quietly deem it a non-issue.

Not to mention 1100 workers are now unemployed.

It appears every action of this admin wastes our money, loses more jobs, takes away our freedoms, And smacks of corruption.

Unless he’s living off of the revenue from his books, NONE of it…not one thin dime…is his own money. His pay comes from the taxpayers.

Let the DNC Pay for Obama’s Pep Rallies
by Keith Koffler on September 15, 2011, 10:36 am

Mr. President, are we finished paying for your pep rallies? I mean, you were like the Homecoming King this week.
President Obama went to Columbus, Ohio Tuesday to speak to children at a high school about his new jobs act.

The president spoke to these adoring teenagers for 17 minutes! THAT’S ALL. And that includes being interrupted by the delirious crowd 44 times for applause, and several times for eruptions like, “Pass this bill! Pass this bill! Pass this bill! Pass this bill!”

You, taxpayer, flew him out there for this nonsense. And then, silly people, you did it again!

The president jetted Wednesday to Raleigh, N.C., where he spoke to more star-struck young things at North Carolina State University. This time we got 21 minutes out of him.

I’d say it’s a little more bang for the dollar, except that this time he was interrupted 72 times for applause, along with ample laughter and affirmations like, “I love you, Barack!”

You think I’m overstating this? From a report by WRAL in Raleigh.

Reynolds Coliseum took on a pep rally-like atmosphere in the hours before the speech as the N.C. State marching band played and the crowd rocked to the rhythm.

Thousands of N.C. State students lined up Tuesday to get tickets to Obama’s speech.

Why is he talking to children? Because he get’s interrupted by applause 72 times! I mean, seriously, why do you ask?
Adults realize that Obama is a faded rock star of questionable musical talent who had a couple of early hits but hasn’t been able to follow them up.

Another reason is that most of these impressionable kids will be old enough to vote in these key swing states, North Carolina and Ohio.

And, oh yeah, there’s the “jobs” bill.

And the hits just keep on com’in…

The Pentagon has worried for months that a project backed by a prominent Democratic donor might interfere with military GPS. Now Congress wants to know if the White House pressured a general to change his testimony.

We’re going to have to build a new supermax just to house all these lying, thieving bastards.

OBAMA IS THE WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES. PERIOD.
He has increased the cost of healthcare with his new law. He gave away $1 Trillion to his friends, and none of that produced ONE job. He thinks the only way to lower unemployment is to hire more into the government, or a union. He hasn’t done a thing about his restrictive policies which have handcuffed businesses into thinking it is too risky to hire again. He wants to increase taxes on the OVERTAXED, even though we have a very generous progressive tax system, whereby 50% of America does NOT pay any federal income taxes and the top 5% of the country pays 60% of all income taxes already. 14 more months of his progressive liberalism is toooo long to wait for his kind of hope and change. I’m hoping for change, and it has nothing to do with Obama, Reid, and Pelosi, and now, Bloomberg.

If, Gladiator, somehow we could convince the Great Unwashed Masses of these simple facts, Obambi would be gone so fast there’d be a vacuum where he once stood. Reality sets in, though, and the Sheeple continue being hoodwinked en masse by the LSM. Who likewise need to go.

Actually, Ace at Ace of Spades and others have pointed out that 3 days ago it was revealed that Solyndra applied for a SECOND federal loan of $469 million.

Everybody just assumed either the loan was turned down or the company withdrew it.

But…………………….it’s been 3 days. NOBODY has come out and said ‘They didn’t get the money’.

    $535 million + $469 million = $1.004 billion dollars.
