Candlemakers About to Experience Boom

As Reichsführer Ogabe’s runaway EPA gets ready to shut down half of our electricity production (h/t LC Light29ID):

Consumers could see their electricity bills jump an estimated 40 to 60 percent in the next few years.

The reason: Pending environmental regulations will make coal-fired generating plants, which produce about half the nation’s electricity, more expensive to operate. Many are expected to be shuttered.

The increases are expected to begin to appear in 2014, and policymakers already are scrambling to find cheap and reliable alternative power sources. If they are unsuccessful, consumers can expect further increases as more expensive forms of generation take on a greater share of the electricity load.

Ah, the Obamatopian Bliss of Unicorns, Skittles and Free Energy!

Thanks a whole fucking shitload, Fiddy2ers. We should find out just who voted for that Tyrant Shitwad and take away their voting rights for life, because obviously they don’t have the sense that G-d gave earthworms.

Or maybe they saw Sir Golfsalot promising that “energy prices would necessarily skyrocket” under his plan and thought “hey, that’s cool, who needs energy anyway.”

In which case… Well, they’re still too stupid to vote ever again.

2012 or bust, Loyal Citizens, there will be no “next time” if he and his National Socialist Democrats aren’t stopped then. And when I say “stopped”, I mean stopped cold.

Thatisall.

I have three LED lanterns, solar rechargable. I thought for emergencies, maybe now simply to use all the time. What I find the most pathetic of all is how the left keeps backing this guy as he royally fucks them over. It’s as if they like it. Yes, the dutiful little elves, prancing along behind, failing to realize they will… Read more »

There’s been something else that been eating my ass. We have U3 unemployment rate of 9.1% (and if you believe that number I have a bridge to sell you). The U6 is around 18% (others have it as high as 24%). The cost of goods (no, not whatever Buttanke is counting) is going through the roof. A gallon of milk… Read more »

LC Light29ID says: “Meet the new Boss Same as the old Boss” there’s a couple more lines to that song that I find rather relevant: We’ll be fighting in the streets With our children at our feet And the morals that they worship will be gone And the men who spurred us on Sit in judgment of all wrong They… Read more »

Seems Light hit it right on the head, except unemployment here in Dog Patch and environs is closer to thirty per cent. Agriculture has been decimated, this states greatest industry, largely by coast democrats protecting a fish. My house is worth less than half what it was a few short years ago. And yes, we are being fearfully ignored, but… Read more »

First of all the EPA is yet another useless govt agency that should have been shut down a long time ago. Right along with the Dept of Education and Dept of Energy. We could save alot of money each year and alot of hassle by getting rid of these agencies. Secondly in response to Emperor Misha I 2012 or bust,… Read more »

If they really wanted renewable energy sources then the best way to obtain them is not from regulation but from the private sector. It’s all about supply and demand. I am positive that if there were sufficient demand for alternate energy sources then someone would step up and find a way to supply it. The best way to get the… Read more »

Southern Libertarian says: If they really wanted renewable energy sources then the best way to obtain them is not from regulation but from the private sector. It’s all about supply and demand. In their twisted logic, government will be creating the demand. When people can’t afford traditional energy, they’ll be hopping on the solar panel / wind farm bandwagon …… Read more »

I’ve been speaking almost daily with one of my colleagues who is like minded. I think by way of preparation (and for those of you who have not, buy and read “One Second After”) we should begin to think about “compounds”. Groups of people who will come together, understanding the elements of protection, a “perimeter” that is small enough to… Read more »

I’m just about resigned to the probability that we’re going to get forced to use the Third Box of Democracy when it all crashes, the Welfare stops, and the Hordes of Eaters fan out from the cities. And I guess I know the REAL, politically incorrect reason behind the rise of the “Zombie Apocalypse” meme over the last few years:… Read more »

We need more people like Breitbart and Palin— not afraid to take on the Prog crowd and their Stalinist attempts at reshaping America.

I hear we in South Carolina are going to go on manufacturing and selling incandescent light bulbs despite what the Feds and Eco-wackos want. Yay! :em93:

That’s gonna be just fine if my electric bill goes up because I will have fewer things I can buy anyway, what with all the companies going out of business and all.

Gonna work out real nice for the dupes buying the freakin’ electric cars too, Imbeciles.

The ship continues to take on water and list further to port.
