Bob and Tom fans will get a kick out of that. For the rest of ya, if you have a little change left in your pocket after Ogabe’s done financing the First Wookie’s latest jaunt to Spain or wherever, I know where a ya can get a nice boat for those weekend fishing trips.

His Vileness will likely be in a video game induced coma, so consider this a Monday Open Thread.

    Isn’t it Tuesday?

    Anyhoo, since it’s an open thread, I’ll put this up.

    Barack Obama and his allies in Congress are now resorting to extortion when it comes to granting Amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Their latest ploy? Give us Amnesty and then we’ll “talk” about constraining our out-of-control spending.

    Seriously… We couldn’t make this stuff up if we tried.

    According to the Washington Examiner: “[Senator Dick] Durbin told Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) on Fox Sunday News program that if the GOP passed the DREAM Act, Democrats would be more willing to talk about reducing the country’s spending habit.”

    Durbin added that when it comes to granting Amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, “we’re not giving up” because NOT pushing the so-called DREAM Act down the throats of the American people “isn’t what the American people want us to do. It isn’t the American way.”

    And Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid chimed in on the DREAM Act as well and said that it’s time to “rise up” and that the DREAM Act is “good for everybody.”

    Good afternoon, Rotties. Here’s a little tidbit we should pass around far and wide.

    Proposed New Immigration Laws: Read to the bottom or you will miss the message…

    1. There will be no special bilingual programs in the schools.

    2. All ballots will be in this nation’s language.

    3. All government business will be conducted in our language.

    4. Non-residents will NOT have the right to vote no matter how long they are here.

    5. Non-citizens will NEVER be able to hold political office.

    6. Foreigners will not be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, no food stamps, no health care, or other government assistance programs. Any burden will be deported.

    7. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount at least equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

    8. If foreigners come here and buy land… options will be restricted. Certain parcels including waterfront property are reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

    9. Foreigners may have no protests; no demonstrations, no waving of a foreign flag, no political organizing, no bad-mouthing our president or his policies. These will lead to deportation.

    10. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be actively hunted and, when caught, sent to jail until your deportation can be arranged. All assets will be taken from you.

    Too strict? The above laws are current immigration laws of MEXICO!
    These sound fine to me. NOW, how can we get these laws to be America’s Immigration Laws? :em98: :em98: :em98:

    I am not sure #8 is correct unless they have changed in the last few years because my best friend’s brother in law could build a house that he owned but not the land. That is why when he got married they purchased the home in her name so that they would own the land and the house.

    Ok I need help from those in the know…..how does Cesar Chavez qualify for a cargo ship being named after him?

    I know he served in the Navy for 2 years, which Chávez described his experience in the Navy as “the two worst years of my life.”

    I guess I thought that they were named after Presidents, other notable politicians, war veterns, states, counties, or battles.

    The only exception I know of is that there is one named after Bob Hope, but he was made an honory vetern by congress back in the 90′s and he spent plenty of time in war zones with the troops.

    Someone explain this to me cuz I just don’t get it.

The Pakistani military has declared the province off-limits to U.S. Predator strikes, and the country’s Inter-Services Intelligence Directorate (ISI) seems to be giving the Taliban a free hand. “They are coming and going in groups without end,” says a senior Quetta politician, an ethnic Pashtun (like the overwhelming majority of the Taliban). “Whatever the Taliban is doing is supervised and monitored by the [Pakistani] intelligence agencies.” Old hands among the insurgents say it reminds them of 1980s Peshawar, where anti-Soviet mujahedin operated openly with the ISI’s blessing and backing.

    He may be responsible for more allied deaths than any other Taliban leader. More than 40 percent of the roughly 2,500 U.S. and NATO combat deaths since 2001 have occurred in the provinces of Kandahar and Helmand, most of them in the three years he’s commanded the region.
