Watching a lot of the news lately, it’s obvious the GOP still has no clue on how to communicate with the public out here in the heartland. The grotesquely biased MSM along with the left-wing blogosphere is getting a free demagoguery pass on Paul Ryan’s budget plan. They’re having a ball with this and the real bitch of the situation is that it’s entirely predictable. Scare hell out of the seniors that Republicans are going to take away their checks. Obama’s HellCare cut $800+ billion from Medicare and no response from our side in other than passing. I want to throw things at my really nice HD screen seeing them once again get away with this shit. It’s Ground-Hog day eternally with our political system. The left demagogues, distorts, lies and gets away with the most outrageous speech ever heard and the right is totally.fucking.silent. I and others here have begged for decades about this and our side is either deaf or stupid, and probably both. When will we stand up and call the bastards out on this stuff? Yadda, Yadda, Yadda we’re better than that ad nauseum is the response. You don’t HAVE to demagogue someone that’s flat-out lying their asses off. Brush the stand out of your VaJay-Jays, ruck up and beat the living shit out of the other side on their lies, coldly and calmly. It’s not going to be a tough task, providing you have the balls to do it. But ohhh, we can’t do that, the retards at MSNBC won’t like us, we won’t get a nice puff-piece out of that asshole Krugman or that bitch Maureen Dowd, if we merely point out that the other side can’t back their bullshit with facts. Call them out and throw down on their dishonesty. How hard is that? We know damn well we won’t get a fair shake out of the dead media, but we OWN the new, alternative media. These pages are a prime example and millions read the blogosphere daily.

IF we can’t bring ourselves to call out the left on the only card they have, demagoguery, then we don’t deserve to be in power. You might as well stay home and let Ogabe win reelection. Just remember, if he wins a 2nd term, there will be absolutely NO stopping his socialist agenda. Without worries about political fallout, he’s free to do pretty much anything he wants and that will be ugly.

This issue, stopping the socialists, is perhaps the gravest situation our generation will ever face. If we can’t bring ourselves to counter lies and half-truths then we DON’T deserve to lead and our beloved Republic WILL follow Rome down the toilet-bowl of history. Think about it folks, do we really want to let this happen because we don’t have the fortitude to speak up? We have to deal with the spooked seniors and fickle independents, regardless of where that takes us.

Our children can’t afford for our answer to this question to be “never”. That’s a death sentence for our freedom.

Bravo! I don’t know why the RNC doesn’t grab this low-hanging fruit, but I do know they will get not one dime out of me until they do. It boggles the mind.

It’s not just on the national level. I’ve had some of the local RTC (Repub Town Comm.) tell me to tone it down in online debates in the local newspaper’s comments section and also the local Patch. I’ve comment there under my real name since I’m an elected official, however minor. I’ve had quite a few folks go after me… Read more »

I learned a long time ago after watching Trent Lott that RINO’s will be the death of the Republican Party. Him and his fellow RINO’s have cost me several valuable layers of stomach lining. They take BOHICA down to a whole new level! They need to Lead, Follow, or get the fuck out of the Way!

Naw, I think it will be you guys who will be the “death of the Republican Party. Some of you might think that is a good thing.

Right now, 52% of Republicans think so as well. The GOP needs to go the way of the Whigs.

LC Gunsniper: There is one small problem with that. Does 1992 ring any bells?

cmblake6 – The problem out here is that a whole lot of what used to be the repuke base has awakened to the sad truth – that far too many of those in government calling themselves rupukes are at best doing only doing whatever it takes to continue to have a job. And if that means sucking up to the… Read more »

Hey All,

I’d appreciate it if we could not get too over the top here in the comments section – it’s very well presented, and I’m currently sending it to every (R) in the senate directory.

Thx,
