    Protected species.

Most of the animal life in the area is protected, for the simple reason that too many have been taken by “trophy hunters” and yes, people who smuggle them overseas.

Tourists are also told NOT to feed them, and if they see one, to leave it alone. Strange as it may seem to many, the Outback is a closed ecosystem, and we want to do as little damage as we can.

The place is a scene of raw, incredible beauty, the wildlife preserved as best we can.
