That’s Some 133t H4x0ring, Right There!

So, the mysterious Russian H4x0r attack that opened up John Molesta Podesta’s email, was an old fashioning phishing attack, v0.1b, that succeeded wildly because he and his staff are a bunch of flaming idiots or, as we used to say, “roadkill on the information superhighway.”

Does this mean that it couldn’t have been shady KGB agents in ushankas? No.

What it does mean is that it could just as easily have been an 8-year-old with a GameBoy controller.

Thatisall.

But but but it HAS to be the Russians!! If it hadn’t been for the Russians using massive resources, Hillary would be getting ready for her reign as President for Life!!

What these morons seem to forget is, while Putin can probably work with President trump, Trump won’t be a pushover and won’t sell things like Uranium mines to Russia.

I think that if Putin had a choice, he wold have preferred Felonia von Pantsuit. He knows her price.

having already successfully bribed the Clintons, why would Putin what Trump, who is basically unbribeable?

besides, no one had to “hack”: the DNC or anyone else: these idiots lost smart phones, had unsecure servers, inexperienced IT folks and routinely e-mailed new passwords on systems they knew were compromised.

not to mention disgruntled insiders in a position to leak everything directly.

    it’s bullshit.

Related news – this is probably the greatest “Fisking” ever. But I have not seen all of the Emperors early work, so it may be a runner up. Read and SMILE :em01:

Well, finally the shiznit works again. Many thanks, Emperor.

I don’t like Trump. I didn’t vote for him. But … he’s here now and I’m intrigued to see where this goes. Especially in light of glowbullist bullhonky all over the West getting told where to shove their New World Order™ Arrogant buttmunches. I see the value in what Trump has accomplished, as much as he makes me wince – and I wonder how much of that shit he said he really believes and how much was meant to twist the media’s satin shorts?

Trump hasn’t even been sworn in yet, and we’re looking at probably 100K jobs saved or created that otherwise wouldn’t be here.
It’s going to be interesting next year. Hopefully, new jobs will be created to clean up all the liberal heads that have detonated.

Ayup. I also recommend nailing down any loans or mortgages you want now, because I’m so expecting a rate hike based on an economy bump. Happens, it’s part of a cycle that Bam-Bam’s nonsense disrupted, but the fact remains that if you’re planning to refi, now’s the time :)

Refinancing requires being employed. I’m concerned with losing what I have right now. (Now entering month 15 of my job search)

Sep 2012 through May 2013, then I found a job in a rapidly growing cheese plant. Not what I was looking for, but it presented itself so I took it. Keep looking, brother. Now, with The Donald full on in place, it will get better. Hey, if nothing else, Public Works:

No problem. I’m a Systems Admin. Been on close to 60 face to face interviews in the last year. It seems I’m always the “Second choice”.

What certifications do you have? I do network engineering with a service provider bent and found that my job prospects went through the roof when I finished my CCNP — and have only gotten more and more since I started certifying in Juniper as well.

An old MCP for NT 4. I work to keep up my skills, and I am very good at figuring things out. I haven’t touched UNIX in production since 2003, so I forgot a lot of how it worked.

I used the MS Hypervisor built into Win 10 and now have a number of LInux systems running. (FreeBSD, CentOS, Fedora Server & Ubuntu server)

I went on a job interview, (Job ended up being canceled), and they mentioned Clonezilla. I was aware of it, but never used it. I have it running on one of my Ubuntu servers.
    :em01:

Over the summer, I got my hands on an online boot camp class for VMware 5 &5.5. I understand it, but no labs or any real way to dig into it. I’ve also got MS’s hypervisor 2012 but lack the hardware to really run it.

I also have a virtual Active Directory network on Server 2012R2. It dies when the trial versions end. I just got my hands on server 2016 a week or so ago. (YAY! they put the start menu back in!!)

At my last gig, they rolled Solarwinds. I found out about it and got access to it, (limited), and set up soem of the test servers I managed. I looked at tying some of the applications into the monitoring system so we would know when they weren’t behaving. I got it all working but my contract ended before we could roll into production.

Networking is my weak spot. I know the basics, I’ve been in a Cisco router and understand it. Just didn’t have the access or reason to do much.

If you like, hit my blog and one of the contact links and email me directly, I can send you a resume. ;)

I’ve worked in 2 man shops, and mutlinational companies. I’ve been “The” IT guy, and I’ve also been a small silo’d cog in a machine. My skill is figuring things out and getting it done.

Ever done anything with Solaris or Red Hat?
    Are you clearable?
Are you willing to work in the DC area for a federal agency? (This one’s better than most, promise, and is one of the few that has a legit need to be a federal agency within the Constitution.)

Haven’t touched Solaris in close to 15 years. I have a “Dead Rat server running on Amazon Web services. Mostly it’s a training tool. I’m basically a Jr. level admin on the UNIX/Linux side of the house. (May actually be better than I realize, but I refuse to “Enhance” my resume)

    Are you clearable?

Should be. I’ve interviewed at Raytheon up here, (Job canceled), and my resume is being “reviewed” by the hiring manager at BAE. Both require clearances. Don’t do drugs, not so much as a parking ticket. Very light intake of adult beverages and I have a CCW so the “Fuzz” has given me the once over.

Are you willing to work in the DC area for a federal agency?

Sure, but I suspect there’s actually going to be a large outflow or personnel in the coming year due to a change in management. ;)
However, going down to the Cesspool on the Potomac is an issue. I have a house I need to sell, it’s winter, and honestly, I prefer to work somewhere that doesn’t try to ban the means of constitutional personal defense. That’s one reason I wouldn’t mind the “Great State of Texas.”
