Do the LameStream Media ever read what they fucking well WRITE??

The stupidity never ends

From here

Opening paragraph

A gunfight between tourists turned deadly in Bourbon Street, in New Orleans’ popular French Quarter, on Sunday during celebrations to mark a college football tournament and the Thanksgiving holiday.

and then

but they separately arrested 12 people for illegal possession of a firearm in the French Quarter over the weekend.

Here’s the money shot

“I suppose this highlights [America’s] national issue with gun laws. Legislation needs to be implemented, but I don’t see that in the near future.

CUE ATOMIC LEVEL FACEPALM

Dear stupid media, had you read your OWN article you’d be aware that those arrested were charged with ILLEGAL possession..

For the last time, you useless, worthless pack of morons, you can pass all the fucking gun laws you like, you can make them totally illegal , put them on double secret probation for all the good it will do.

CRIMINALS DONT OBEY THE LAW, THATS WHY THEY CALL THEM CRIMINALS

God, the stupid, it burns……..

Further bad writing by the journos: “A gunfight between tourists turned deadly in Bourbon Street,”

Uh, how did a gunfight happen *IN* Bourbon Street? On, I can see, but in? Unless they were shooting it out in the sewers, in which case it would really be “under”.

    It also hit me

A gunfight between two TOURISTS??? I wasnt aware TOURISTS had the right to possess or carry guns in the US,, let alone open or concealed carry. The article says they cant find the shooters….my money says gang bangers or drug dealers with illegal guns.

    Ironbear you are forgiven.

    This time.

However, I am not the one who will be required to explain to His Emperorness how you managed to mistake an Aussie for a Texan.

Word of advice? Have a bottle of the good stuff with you . :em07: :em05:

Snerk. The Emperor doesn’t keep me around for my sense of precision. He keeps me around because I’m good at rending things.

That’s the common mode in the UK and Australia. Where we in the US say something is on a street they say in that street.
I suspect the US is the only English speaking country that does it that way. The web site the story is from is an Australian one.
Don’t get your nickers in a twist about other countries language usage.

Not a problem if they have a Concealed Carry License from another state that Louisiana recognizes and open carry there is largely legal.

    “Trump will lose”

I cannot even begin to LIST, let alone catalogue, the litany of newspapers, web magazines, TV stations and talking heads all of whom buried Donald Trump with glee and venom and vicious spite.

It has become clear with his scorched-earth campaign in the home stretch of the election that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is preparing to lose. And lose big.

The good news: He will lose this election badly, by which I mean poorly. Exceedingly poorly. The bad news: After he does so, he will take his wounded pride and his seething, tiny-fingered resentment to war against this country. Not for this country. But against it. Because for all the haziness surrounding his agenda, his policies, the true colors of his hair and his heart, one thing has become crystal clear: Donald Trump is an enemy of the people.

He will lose the popular vote, and he will lose the electoral vote, but he will act as if none of this matters, because it doesn’t—to him.

Mark down the date: October 7, 2016, is when Donald Trump lost the presidency.

Listen, Trump isn’t going to win the election. Sober experts, such as William Galston and Walter Russell Mead (each of whom I hope jumps into the presidential race), have given lots of compelling reasons why. Here’s my spin:

OM-gosh! Try,”Trump is evil” and search images.
Yarf! That’s some funny cornball sh*t the LLL’s wasted their foto-shopin’ on.
Oh, and the pic’s links into the Morons of Doom® writings are priceless.
Here is a taste, with hand drawn pages any 2nd grader would receive a passing grade for:

I Wrote A Children’s Book About Donald Trump And His Evil Hair
Donald was lovely, so misunderstood. Kind to all races… that hair though
    …that hair was no good
His hair was a dick. Foreign made him sick. A blond haired, racist, Aryan wig
Dictating Trump’s words just to make people look! On the Internet, TV…
    …and even this book
When election time came, they voted Trump King. No one knew any other candidates running
But the one big mistake this wig did make?
He now had to deal with the people he hates!
This was the price this toupee had to pay for world domination. He had to get away
He tugged on Trump’s faux-licles. The wig tape torn. That scalp peeling back upon which he’d been worn
And just like John Hurt, he burst from Trump’s body.
From the tangerine vessel, now mangled and bloody
In need of a job he searched on his Mac
Does Miley still like her Hollywood wax?

    A children’s book?, hey!
I see he means his own mental acuity; a vehicle that edumacated Progzis can compare memes and refer to while suckin’ on an over sweet and highly caffeinated, overpriced beverage.
He does a reading on YouTube, too.

“my money says gang bangers or drug dealers with illegal guns.”

Almost certainly the case. Fun story: was back in New Orleans several years ago for Mardi Gras. As my group is having dinner, one of the guys starts getting worried texts from his daughter: shooting at 300 block of Bourbon Street. We were eating dinner at 300 Bourbon – never heard a thing, and the crowd outside didn’t seem to be overly concerned either. However, there had actually been a drug-related shooting right around the corner.
