Dominoes A-Falling

At least it looks to be that way. Here’s hoping it’s a trend that continues:

Front National leader Marine Le Pen has taken a substantial lead in the latest French presidential election poll, eight points ahead of her nearest rival.

Le Pen secured the support of 29 percent of those surveyed by Ipsos, placing her a commanding eight points ahead of former President Nicolas Sarkozy, representing Les Républicains, and a decisive 15 points ahead of Parti de Gauche’s (Left Party’s) Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the Independent has reported.

Now, if only Germany could get rid of that drooling, Stasi informer bitch Merkel, things would be really looking up for humanity.

Thatisall.

Misha, I may be a smidge out on a limb here, but my friends in Germany (mostly Frankfurt and Munich) are absolutely steaming about the “open borders to ISIS” program instituted by their version of the intelligentsia.

I for one would not be surprised in the least if Merkel is dumped when a coalition forms on the right of center. Of course, German right of center is still a bit to the left as none would embrace the “hard left” in that country. I always enjoy pointing out to the locals here in the USA that National Socialists in Der Reich were NOT right wing in the least, amazing how few seem to make the connection with the other word starting with N and ending in AZI.

We may have to start exporting popcorn soon.

Heck, even the Pommies are starting to show appreciable levels of disgusts, and take a lot to make a Brit right upset at things (my heritage speaking).

A movement may indeed be under way. Long live the free peoples of the Anglo-sphere, all the rest can go suck it up as far as I am concerned. And while we are at it, keep an eye on Chicago, things are ramping up for a banner year of mayhem.

As if this year wasn’t a banner year of mayhem in Chicago already.

Not yet apparently, there was one in the 90′s that made the record which is about to be surpassed. The sad part is that those who can leave Cook county are coming over here to live in SW Michigan and bringing their idiot spawn and values (or lack thereof) with them.

I hear the same things. And quite a lot louder too. My concern isn’t so much whether Germany (and the rest of Europe) will wake up and find their roots, it’s when and how.

I pretty much have the how down pat, as does everybody who has actually studied European history. You don’t need to have been born and raised over there to know that. You just need to be able to read for comprehension. And if you can’t read, you’re no better or better off than the ones who can’t read for comprehension or, indeed, read at all.

    It’s all about the “when.”

Europeans, of which I was one and still have it in my bones, don’t go by half measures when provoked sufficiently. Thankfully, it takes quite a lot for them to be provoked sufficiently. Thankfully for the ones provoking them, that is.

When they wake up and decide that enough’s enough already, they don’t just simmer down after a couple of victories and concessions. They only call it off when one side is exterminated. And as much as “historians” ignorant of human nature which, in the end, is ALL that matters since it hasn’t changed since time immemorial, like to say that “things have changed”, that doesn’t make it so.

Sure, Europeans have gotten more patient or, as modern academics like to call it, “tolerant”, but that’s only because they’ve been more prosperous and more secure than they’ve ever been in the past. Which is, funnily enough, the same as what can be said about us Americans. It has absolutely nothing to do with Europeans’ mentality having changed. Or Americans’, for that matter.

Deep down, that hasn’t changed at all. The Machine is still the same as it always was.

It’s the same as when the Romans razed Carthage and just about any horrifying episode in history thereafter. Horrifying by our ever so much more refined “modern standards”, that is.

What it all comes down to is existing versus not existing.

And when a culture faces that, we all know what happens.

And we westerners are so much better at than than anybody else. We created all that is good about civilization, we created pretty much all the scientific advances, cultural advances and any other advances you can mention, and that includes advances in ruthlessness when threatened and efficiency in deploying that ruthlessness.

Again, it’s not “if” that wakes up, it’s when it wakes up.

This can be settled “nicely” or “not so nicely”, but settled it will be.

And that’s how it should be. I recall watching my TV back in 1990 when we were informed that our forces would be stopping at the Kuwaiti border and not carrying on to Baghdad. It was the onnly time in my life I ever threw something at my TV. I knew right then that we’d be back to do the whole damn thing over again, only with more blood shed, not to mention all the needless blood lost in the intervening years. It’s one of the (many) reasons I don’t like Colin Powell.

My favorite ‘fake’ quote from the opening sequence of Andromeda:

“Those who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it; those who fail to learn history correctly-why they are simply doomed.”

    The Illusion of Historical Truth

Powell and Bush had failed to learn history correctly. Sadly it seems that far too many of our “betters” failed too.

I was “over there” and I can tell you that there were a LOT of us who were pissed that Shrub and Colon Bowel were calling off the dogs when the time was ripe for a complete and total victory. They were worried about the “optics” and leaving a “power vacuum” in the area. Fuck those 7th Century Savages and the “optics”. They’d just been shown that, with hardly breaking a real sweat, the greatest fighting force that the planet has ever seen had completely decimated the 4th-largest (and best among the Sand Monkeys) force in the world. We should have continued all the way to Baghdad and strung up Sod ‘Em from his crossed swords for the entire MidEast to see and left a message scrawled in his blood that said “Who’s Next?”. The only thing the Mooselimb hordes understand is brutal, unflinching force and that’s the only thing they will ever understand.

I’m going to put my understanding of what was going to happen down to actually having studied history, in particular medieval history before the West all PC about the evil Christians going after the poor misunderstood moslems, and it would seem I actually learned it.

That and reading Dorothy Dunnet’s Lymond series. As an author she did her homework, and as far as I have been able to tell her depiction of Islam in the 16th Century was dead to rights. Even by european standards of that century, it was a barbaric culture and only understood overwhelming brutal force.

Not that Hitler would have behaved any better than Saddam if we’d merely beaten him back to the borders of Germany and left him alone to prevent a “power vacuum” and keep good “optics”. I’d love to see an Eisenhower, Patton, or any other Allied general’s reaction to Powell’s decision to stop at the border. I suspect it couldn’t even be cleaned up to “nuts”. Lee and Grant were probably both looking down on that action and snarling about it too.
