Star of “Hamilton” Cast Advocating Raping White Girls

Coincidentally, the same member of the cast lecturing VP-elect Mike Pence about his “hateful, racist ways” on Friday.

(No, numbnuts, you can’t delete it. It’s a screencap)

So… You’re saying that Saint Paddy’s day is a great day for black dudes to run around date-raping drunk white girls, are you?

#RapeCulture! #Triggered! #Misogyny!

What’s that you say? You were just being funny? Just a bit of “locker room talk” and “seriously, calm down, you hysterical ReichWingers!”

Nononononono, that’s not how the game is played. Don’t you go #ManSplaining this one away, Brandon. You set the rules, we’re just playing along under the same ones.

Not so funny anymore?

Well, you know, we can stop this anytime you want. You made the mess, you get to clean it up. Or we can go on forever and ever and ever and ever.

Your choice.

Thatisall.

I wake up to four new posts by the all powerful Emperor. The Emperor has posted more in the last two weeks than the last year. Would it be safe to say that His Royal highness’s morale has increased significantly and his writer’s block has been deported to Mexico?

    Thanks! 😀

And, er, I don’t know. Because I don’t. Sure, I have my theories, and there’s an essay in there somewhere, but before I launch into that, the short version is: I have no earthly clue what happened.

Sure, morale always plays a part, never underestimate it, but it’s far from the whole story. I’ve been in places a whole lot worse than the past damnable 8 years, yet that never kept me from wearing keyboards out or running my mouth. Ask anybody. Heh. And there’s no denying that recent, ahem, “events”, have been a most welcome jolt of energy, but mainly because there’s finally a fight to join. Not that the fight is won, it’s not even close, but the fight has bloody well finally begun at long last.

If I were to talk about morale, it would more be like itching for a fight but finding no fight to jump into. I guess that’s my Viking genes. We grow despondent and morose if we can’t find a good melee to join, and particularly over the last couple of years there haven’t been any. It’s like there was a fight, but it was only one side actually fighting it.

And that’s no fun. I’d rather jump into a hopeless fight than just sit on the sidelines offering running commentary of the pathetic rout of one side.

So there is that. But, as I said, that’s such a tiny part of it.

Mostly, my muse just departed. I grew weary of posting, in essence, the same observations that I’d made six hundred thousand times before on endless repeat. I’m sure I could have written some clever code doing just that on a daily basis, automatically, and I got the feeling that nobody, myself included, would notice the difference.

The spark just wasn’t there anymore. And it wasn’t fun anymore for that very reason. Not because “we weren’t winning”, that’s really not all that important although it IS nice, what’s important is that there’s a battle going on with two sides slugging it out, but more because “we” weren’t even trying.

On one side we had the ProgNazis, and on the other hand we had the surrender monkeys, spending all of their time coming up with excuses as to why it was far preferable to roll over and play fwench than to at least put up a fight. Seriously, what side are you supposed to pick in a “fight” like that?

I could never, can never, will never side with the enemies of liberty, and I find it really hard to put up a spirited fight if my side won’t even pretend to swing their fucking swords. On top of that, I’m not really at my best just sitting on the sidelines offering up half-hearted, overly optimistic encouragements when there’s nothing to be encouraged by and, to a large extent, nothing to encourage at all.

“Just hang in there, it will get worse before it gets better, but it WILL get better. Next Tuesday™” is just not my style.

All that changed. There’s an actual fight going on, battle lines drawn, and things are getting dirty and personal, just like I like it. Mocking, eviscerating, denigrating and pissing on the enemy is fun again because, win or lose, there are finally TWO sides in the battle again.

That probably had a lot to do with it.

At any rate, I can feel it again. It’s back, and I hope it stays. Whether we have victory ahead of us or it’s going to be a long, hard slog doesn’t matter as much as it matters that there IS a slog to begin with.

I guess I just don’t really thrive without a good fight to get bloodied in 😉
