It’s Still Alive!

At this point it would probably be a good idea for me to come out of hiding and make a note as to where I’ve been and what I’ve been doing (mainly not posting).

I’ll keep it brief, but basically what’s been going on is massive exhaustion and sleep deprivation, which eventually led to absolutely zero energy for anything, anywhere. You know it’s bad when a lovable character like myself can’t even find the motivation to be an arsehole on the Internet.

I am, however, not dead, just worn down to a nub. More importantly, I’m getting less worn down day by day as changes have been made and will continue to be made.

I do thank you all for bothering to check in with the website and not just giving up on it, I do appreciate that more than I can say, not to mention how much I appreciate the contributors who’ve been doing a good job offering content in my long absence.

Can’t thank you enough.

How do we know this is the “Real” Emperor Misah? How do we know his account hasn’t been taken over by Obamatrons?
For all we know, the true Emperor has been replaced by a small PERL script!

Well, Mope has always maintained that Misha isn’t real anyway, a belief conveniently buttressed by the most inopportune timing of Rottfest attendance. I can vouch for the veracity of the posting though, yes our Imperial Vileness lives. May the libtards quake in terror and the loyal citizens rejoice.

A well rested Imperator is a monarch of little task and duty.
Be I so humble to ask, could we have a slice of Fisk,
An expletive riddled ribald blast of royal angst and political clarity.
Or perhaps, titillating tactics in the amassed arena of the political clown posse we Americans call our electoral process.
I am starved for the intrigue.

I never had any doubt that the Emperor would be back.

Since this is a community of veterans, I was wondering about this request for a signature on a signature.

Petitioning U.S. House of Representatives, Barbara Boxer, Duncan Hunter
Stop denying earned survivor benefits to military surviving spouses

    Petition by Kathy Prout
    Coronado, California

My husband was serving his 30th year in the Navy when his F-18 crashed. He was killed, and in a moment, my family’s life changed forever. While my children and I helped each other through the painful grief process, we were saddened to discover that the military was far less supportive.

My husband’s earned survivor benefit, the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP), was not paid to me in full. When he died, I was informed that I would only be getting a fraction of the benefit promised. When I asked why, it was explained to me that those spouses who also receive Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) from the Veterans Administration will have their SBP benefits offset by the Department of Defense. Full SBP payment is unfairly denied to those surviving spouses. This is known as the SBP-DIC offset, and we must fight to end it.

Our government is reneging on a voluntarily purchased insurance plan whose entire purpose is to ensure that surviving spouses are taken care of financially. When a service member makes the ultimate sacrifice, their family shouldn’t have to worry about how they will survive. As a military spouse, I was there for countless others who experienced loss. When I lost my husband, I realized how negligent the government bureaucracy is towards families who have paid the ultimate price. I want to be there for those families again. Hopefully, if we can gather enough petition support, the government will not ignore us.

Do you guys understand this? Is the petititon worth signing?

Glad to know you’re still kicking Sire. I think alot of us are getting kicked in the nuts (or other parts) these days. We just wait till the punching slows down, take a deep breath and get up to go again.

Ever noticed that we’ve never seen Mope and Misha together in the same room???? :em03: Methinks that Mope protests too much. :em05:

This isn’t the first time, nor will it probably be the last, that a breath needed taken by the Emperor. What has been a very good thing is those loyal minions who have kept it alive during that time.

My good Emperor, I feel for ya. It’s much the same here in my northern realm. I’m working twice as hard to make the same money. Thankfully the wife and children are warm, fed, safe and happy. I still believe in a better tomorrow. I will pray that better tomorrow finds the both of us.
