Damn, a Whole Lotta Birthdays!

And on a beautiful, sunny Sunday in Texas, no less.

It is our pride and delight to announce a few birthdays in no particular order:

Our very own LC 0311 Sir Crunchie I.M.H., K.o.E., who looks not a day older than 60. He will, no doubt, be celebrating it in Uncle Sam’s Misguided Childrens’ inimitable ways, So if you’re anywhere in the vicinity of his gubernatorial mansion, we’d advise keeping a low profile, as well as keeping any booze and daughters/wives/other lifeforms of the female persuasion firmly under lock and key.

Just saying.

Also, also our very own FrJim, Imperial Chaplain, whom we shall refrain from insulting gratuitously, as he has a direct line to the man upstairs and, while certainly resolute in the face of adversity, His Imperial Majesty is not clinically, suicidally insane.

Many happy returns to the both of them, and kindly don’t puke all over the freshly installed Mediterranean marble in the lobby. It stains horribly!

Last, but not least, it is ALSO the birthday of Saint John Moses Browning (blessed be his name)’s venerable 1911 design. A design that, more than just about any other design, has stood the test of time. 104 years later and it still remains one of the most respected, popular and all-round badass designs of all time! Also, the merest sight of one makes a Prozi Pussy wet its pants AND cry, so that’s a bonus.

Speaking of hip howitzers, the Texas Open Carry bill just got out of committee in the Texas House, and is expected to fly through with no trouble, and then onward to Governor Abbott’s desk, where it has already been promised a prompt signature.

Not bad for a Sunday, we’d say.

Thatisall.

Nice to see Texas joining with New Hampshire and Vermont. Will Texans be trading in their boots for Birkenstock’s now to be like their Green Mountain brothers?

The Texas Tribune article on the open carry bill cites a survey at the end of the article that says that 23% do not approve of allowing handguns to be carried at all.

I remember reading a news article a while ago that said that a survey showed that 22% of respondents thought the Sun revolved around the Earth.

I have also read that numerous polls and surveys estimate that the percentage of people who identify themselves as liberal is between 22 and 23 percent.

The similarity in the percentages from these three items cannot be a coincidence.

…as well as keeping any booze and daughters/wives/other lifeforms of the female persuasion firmly under lock and key.

At my age, those two pursuits seem to cancel each other out, so it becomes a choice between the two.

And a sincere Happy Birthday to Fr. Jim, our esteemed padre. You have been a source of inspiration and spiritual clarity over the years.

    Even if I am a papist and you’re a heretic. :em05:

In all seriousness, happy birthday and God bless Father.

Consider what removing that portion of the population would accomplish. New jobs and industries would open up and our country, at least temporarily, would be back on track.

Save a few of the libturds for small zoo populations nationwide to showcase as a bad example and so as not to be accused of genocide. Keep the miscreant under closer control than the CDC’s labs as this sickness cannot be allowed to take root again.

    Sir Crunch,

We Anglicans have a very warm spot for you papists, especially Jesuits.

Right under the stake and the wood pile. 🙂

Your Majesty is wise to be cautious. Not because of the Lord of Heaven, but my razor-like word-smithing in the cause of Liberty and defense of the faith. And in slapping down fellow patriots who insult without a corresponding offering of Guinness and/or Whiskey.

Hippy Barfday to those who experienced same, hope it were a delight. And to whomever is in charge of tech stuff:

cURL error 6: Couldn’t resolve host ‘http’
Hover your mouse here to see the data that CommentLuv got back from your site..
If you see a warning or other error message then that might help you locate the problem (maybe another plugin is spitting out an error?)

What is that? It’s been there for months, and I don’t know if it’s my computer or my server. But all of a sudden, it started. Ah well, any ideas? All I get is a highlighted empty box, so no idea of which way to go from there.
