And We Need Ammo

To piggy back on Mrs. M’s PSA below reference the Texas Fest, there will of course be lead sent down range in a gloriously excessive display of freedom. As we talked about before if yer a newb and in need of professional level instruction there will be several firearms instructors there, so don’t fret if you are traveling sans firearm (We do need to, ahem, “discuss” that however).

Anyhoo, I thought I would be good idea to sound off what we were planning on bringing, boom stick wise, and if you are willing to share with the other Rott’s. That way they could plan what ammo to procure.

I’m bringing the following;

M-1 Garand, .30-06.

AR’s (Of course), 5.56 NATO

Assorted pistols in 9MM and .45ACP

PS90 in 5.7 FN

And last but not least (Pending ATFE approval for inner-state transport) my little Class III Israeli lady. She’s 9mm and has a voracious appetite, about 650RPM. She is sweet, but a bit of a whore who likes to be lent out to anyone who can stuff her magazine, IYKWIMAITYD.

So plan accordingly and sound off with what you’re bringing to the table.

    Crunchie, I will add another AR in .556 NATO to the list, and will bring a couple 9mm handguns as well. I will also bring a Ruger Mark II Target (.22 cal) that is a joy to shoot (and relatively cheap to feed).

    For friends who like their excitement in the eastern bloc flavor, I will bring my Saiga .410 shotgun and my Radom P64, chambered in 9×18 (Makarov) caliber.

    I’ll bring what I can stuff in my saddlebags besides a couple of days worth of clothing. I would bring my SK as well, but I’m getting my MNPG stock from as soon as it is released, which means I can’t quite afford the Pug stock for my SK which I could then roll up in a sleeping bag. Another month or so, and I’ll be golden. I will bring a couple of pistols, and some ammo for each. .22, 9mm, .45.
