“She’s a Witch! May we Burn Her?” (UPDATED)

UPDATE: We should clarify: The “11 years ago” was when the interview was done. Her actual “dabbling” happened back in high school. Next, the establishment RINOs will start lambasting her for returning a book late to the school library. Because of the unity, of course.

We’re not even going to dignify the latest lame attack on Christine O’Donnell from the increasingly desperate loony left (on both sides of the aisle) with a link, we’re just going to say: “She dabbled in witchcraft? BURN HER!!!”

“Dabbled in witchcraft.” As did anybody who ever played with a Ouija Board. Big whoop.

Really, now, is that the best you can do? Really?

Well, we know for sure that Bill Maher and Think Regress aren’t trying to mobilize the left against her with that nonsense, so the only logical conclusion is that they still live under the delusion that anybody who isn’t a masturbating sodomite believing in no god or goddess other than themselves will he horrified, horrified that she had a date with somebody who might have been a Wiccan 11 years ago.

To the point where they’ll immediately throw the election to a truly godless self-described Marxist.

Which is good, because it only proves that they still don’t understand the next thing about what makes us tick.

Maybe if they spent a little less time jacking off to liberal stereotypes and a little more time actually observing the world around them… But then they wouldn’t be the community-based reality, would they?

Here’s another thing that the liberal fascists don’t understand about faith: It’s not something you’re born with, it’s something you find. It takes longer for some people, but that’s utterly irrelevant. What is relevant is that once you do find it, it really doesn’t matter where you were before unless it is to give testimony to others still looking for their faith. That’s why we call it being “born again.” At that point, you start over.

It doesn’t matter whether you grew up in a household where you were dragged to church every Sunday without fail, or grew up in a godless commune reading books about the danger of religion, the “opiate of the masses”, you’re every bit as much of a Christian. To another Christian, that is. Apparently the godless liberal fascists demand a higher standard of people of faith. Who’s the “Taliban” now?

Christians don’t care, because Christians know that we’re all born sinners, that we all have to follow our own path to faith.

It’s not the path, it’s the destination.

So Christians won’t give a good hoot about Christine having gotten a bit lost in the wilderness 11 years ago, because we all once wandered in that wilderness ourselves.

All we care about is that our sister found her way out to join us and G-d, and that makes us very happy.

But, by all means, let Bill Maher and his fellow liberal fascist idiots keep shooting blanks. It won’t hurt us one little bit.

Thatisall.

“Dabbled in witchcraft”? Oh, the horrors!! (Not). It would be interesting indeed to know how
many other members of Congress “dabble” with the occult. Many would be shocked, no doubt.
If she were a black Democrat, and admitted to “dabbling” with Santeria there wouldn’t
    be a peep about it.

The only disturbing thing revealed by this little dust-up is that she had the poor judgment to flap
her yap about it to the likes of Bill Maher with a camera running.

It also proves she wasn’t a serious acolyte of wicca, because she obviously didn’t “get it” with
the Wiccan precept of “Know, Will, Dare, and Keep Silent”.

Which still only proves her poor judgment, and inability to consider consequences. So, she’s
just another politician. Big deal. *yawn*

Would you rather I have quoted something from Think Progress? :em99:

The problem is, it all seems to boil down to accepting whatever publication or source that reports the story that YOU want to hear. Everything else gets discounted or dismissed because it is something that you don’t want to hear. It doesn’t change the facts. The facts are public record. She did sue, those were her allegations, she does think that people are hiding in her bushes, and she does think that masturbation is evil. She did lie about having a Bachelor’s degree and later the reason why she didn’t. She HAS made a lot of strange claims and false statements. She HAS some financial baggage also. (Have you stopped and wondered how a single person is able to live on an income of $5800 in 2009? (If we take her at her word, she isn’t shacking up with anyone…) ;)

Also, it isn’t the fact that she was let go or fired: people lose their jobs all of the time. It is her claims that are the issue here. HER claims, not someone else’s.

    Darth Venomous said the following:

Oh, and the article you cite ridicules her for the “mental anguish” portion of her lawsuit, while failing to answer the question: Was she, in fact, discriminated against?

I don’t know, I wasn’t there, but given her other claims, probably not. Intercollegiate Studies Institute had this response:

ISI told the Delaware News Journal that she had been “terminated for operating a for-profit business.”

If this is their reason for letting her go, then her claims of discrimination are only secondary and immaterial. It would be like a person who got fired for embezzlement turning around an suing for sexual discrimination.

Many of her other allegations she listed in her complaint and amended complaint turned out to be false also.

Again, she has baggage, and a lot of it.

Surely there was some other Tea Party candidate in Delaware that could have been picked. Instead, they had to go with THIS one?

Perhaps you should spend the few bucks and probe your own candidates first. Surely something as public as a few lawsuits would have been easy to find almost immediately. As far as Bill Mahr goes, HE isn’t the one who made those statements — Miss O’Connell said them herself on television.

One or two of these little gems by themselves is really nothing. People can have fun with them, but they really don’t mean anything. But when you have so many of them to choose from, then you have a serious pattern going on.

Emperor Misha I said the following:

I don’t know either. Like you I wasn’t there, but in the interest of fairness, her version of events go along her having a spat with her employers about how to interpret Ephesians, more precisely the bit about “women having to submit to men.”

Was this a mystery to her when she decided to take the job? After all, from what I understand is that Intercollegiate Studies Institute is a non-profit Conservative organization that tends to be a bit religious. With her background through the 1990s of being a rather Christian woman full of a lot of biblical advice for all of us, how could she miss this little thing about how a woman should be subservient to a man?

Also, they let HER go. SHE didn’t leave because she was being discriminated against. She filed a suit for wrongful termination, and THEN alleged the discrimination and later still, the renege of a “promise”.

Emperor Misha I said the following:

I don’t know whether her version is correct, but at least I don’t first claim to be neutral and then qualify it with “but she’s probably full of shit.”

I started at this from a neutral position, and the more I’ve read the closer I have come to the opinion that she is “full of shit”. For the record, I haven’t even bothered to see what any of the Left-wing sites have to say about it. The approved (or are they now the formerly approved) source publications usually accepted here had plenty on all of this.

You fail to understand — I want ALL of your chosen people to win. ALL OF THEM. If you can somehow impeach both Obama and Biden and put The Boner into the presidency, then all the better. I am not kidding about this. If I had any advice to any Democrats left in office it would be to sit down and abstain from any voting. Just sit there and take notes. Crushing? I don’t see crushing. I see the possibility of the House going to the Republicans — even a likelihood — but not by very much

Lets look at the numbers, shall we?

    Current makeup of The House:

    Democrats – 255

    Republicans -178

    Vacancies – 2

I’d call losing that size of a majority in a single election “crushing”. :em99:

The Senate looks like the Dems will retain it at 52 – 48 with a new majority leader (which is a good thing. Maybe the Dems will vote for a new leader with a spine)

    I found the consensus to be 51 – 49 or 50 – 50.

Anyhow, while O’Donnell’s primary victory may have temporarily calmed the Democrat panic, think about this.

In the Republicans favor, they have The Chosen One, Reid and Pelosi out running amok and causing damage.

And let’s not forget everypone’s favorite gaffe machine, Joe Biden.

If I had choice of being saddled with either O’Donnell or that quartet of “Hope and Changiness”, I’d take O’Donnell….. :em01:

As a side note, I’m not bashing O’Donnell.

It should be noted that even with her “baggage” (be it real, imagined or somewhere in between), she managed to oust a genuine RINO that was firmly in the pocket of the DNC.

That alone is enough to get kudos from me.

I don’t see any major changes going on regardless of how this election plays out though. The economy will still suck, jobs will still be flowing overseas, the rich will still get richer, and the rest of us will still get poorer.

If none of this matters, why are you even bothering to comment ?

It would be nice to begin with if NONE of them fucked up, and if they did fuck up would have the decency to resign. But Cunningham only resigned AFTER pleading guilty to accepting $2.4 million in bribes. mail fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion. The case on Hot Tub Tom is still pending.

Really? Because I have an opinion that differs from yours? If you ask me, that is what MAKES us American you idiot — the freedom to disagree. In your worldview, you want to have an authoritarian America where nobody disagrees with you or the government that you approve of. You do not allow for dissent, or wiggle room or difference of opinion.THAT isn’t American.

The problem I have with changing the Constitution is that while YOU want to make a couple of changes here and there, others will want to make their little changes.also.

I got to thinking about this “anchor baby” thing the other day while I was waiting for the train. I was running different scenarios in my head as I thought up all of the problems something like this would cause.

What do you do with babies that are born to one parent? Or the mother doesn’t know who the father is? What about adopted babies or children? Do you retroactively strip someone of their established citizenship? Do you violate the ex post facto clause of the Constitution? Do we create more problems than we solve?

Term limits are a good idea, and I have no problem with making the 2nd Amendment more clear. I would make ti read as follows:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, t [T]he right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Come on Deej, you know that Amendment was written to give citizenship to children of Slaves born in this country, when their parents were not afforded that privilege. It was not intended to hand over citizenship to someone who’s parents snuck in over the border in the middle of the night to pop out another social services parasite to suck on Momma Gubmint’s pendulous tit. THAT’S the loophole that needs to be closed. Those that are adopted by parents that are legal citizens shouldn’t have a problem. If the mother doesn’t know who the father is…(what the hell is she doing sleeping around THAT much anyway?) or born to one parent but the mother IS a citizen…why should there be a question about it? We’re talking about illegals who are taking advantage of that Amendment to pop out their issue inside our borders so THEY can stake a claim to stay here and suck the lifeblood out of us. It’s not those that are in this country legally that are the problem.

Hmmm. Love the choice of words. Perhaps, since you’ve dehumanized their babies so that they’ve now become their “issue”, then maybe it is alright to send the mothers hosts to the abortion clinics?

UPDATE: We should clarify: The “11 years ago” was when the interview was done. Her actual “dabbling” happened back in high school

Sure, THIS one was 11 years ago, but there is much more recent stuff from the Christine O’Donnell fun stack.

O’Donnell is a treasure trove of fun for comedians. The Left doesn’t need to dig for this stuff — she has been such a media whore over the past ten years or so that there are literally hours of this stuff in her own words on video.

Take for example, a November 2007 (is that recent enough for you?) interview on Bill O’Reilly where she claims the following:

O’DONNELL: … these groups admitted that the report that said, “Hey, yay, we cloned a monkey. Now we’re using this to start cloning humans.” We have to keep…

O’REILLY: Let them admit anything they want. But they won’t do that here in the United States unless all craziness is going on.

O’DONNELL: They are — they are doing that here in the United States. American scientific companies are cross-breeding humans and animals and coming up with mice with fully functioning human brains. So they’re already into this experiment.

I think I found her source for this stunning revelation.

For me, this is fun. It is highly entertaining. She’s the gift that keeps on giving.

    * took a bribe.
    * used her office to protect a bank her husband owned shares in.
    * had sex with an intern
    * cheated on her taxes
    * did cocaine and then wrote about how hilarious that was.
    * pardoned felons in exchange for campaign contributions
    * destroyed evidence of a crime

Deej and I are actually having somewhat the same discussion over at mine as well. What you just said in your comment is exactly correct as to the reason for the anger, and the explanation of the problem. That Amendment was written at the end of the War Between The States to allow citizenship for the children of the slaves(who were NOT here of their own volition) AT THAT TIME, not to allow “anchor babies” to illegal aliens who sneak in to drop that anchor.

“Balistic?” Naw, just laughing our asses off. Nobody really cares if she “dabbled in witchcraft”, we just find it funny coming from someone who also found time to speak out against masturbation as being a sin.

    Gladiator said the following:

Oh, so she is now a prostitute?

But I think you put your finger on something — you are only looking at her. You aren’t getting past the way she looks.

What exactly do you know about her? I keep hearing the grips about Obama not having “experience” and all of that, yet because this woman is good looking SHE is suddenly qualified?

    Gladiator said the following:

Furthermore, we do know that O’Donnell similarly falls short of standards set by Democratic law makers and chief executives because she never

You copied this list from somewhere, didn’t you?

She also never balanced her checkbook or was able to determine which was her money and which was the campaign money.

It appears that this woman found a great way to make a “living”. Just run for US Senator and live off of the campaign money. After all, if she never actually won, nobody would scrutinize her spending. But now, that she is in the spotlight like she is, people ARE looking at her a little closer.

Yeah, I know it is CREW who is pointing this out. But challenge the evidence. She DID use campaign funds improperly. Not just a one-time mistake, but over and over again, where even her own staff questioned her actions.

Again, this woman is a comedy. She doesn’t have a chance of actually winning, so it is only fun to laugh about.

So no, I don’t see anyone going “ballistic” over this. We are just being entertained.

Hate to break it to you, but it is a sin. At least if you’re a Christian. Granted, I don’t generally walk around preaching against it because it falls into the “no harm done against innocents” and “a matter between the sinner and G-d” category, but if asked I would certainly have to answer in the affirmative. The only alternative would be to display utter ignorance of the faith I claim to possess.

DJ Allyn, ITW said the following:

Oh, so she is now a prostitute?

You’re saying that anybody who has somebody else upon whom he or she depends for financial assistance is a prostitute? I bet quite a few stay-at-home moms, just to name one example, might have a thing or two to say about that.

DJ Allyn, ITW said the following:

yet because this woman is good looking SHE is suddenly qualified?

Careful with that Man O’Straw of yours. I don’t recall anybody claiming that they believe she’s qualified because of her looks. I don’t know. It could have something to do with the things she states that she believes in? 2nd Amendment rights, lower taxes, smaller government? Nah, it’s only because she’s a looker. That’s right.

DJ Allyn, ITW said the following:

Not near as sure that this is true as you seem to be rock solid in your faith that the opposite is, but from what we hear she was actually running her “campaign” out of her home, using her home space as office space for her campaign workers.

Which, under U.S. law, actually does make it quite legal to use campaign funds to pay part of the rent and utilities since your home is now your place of business.

That being said, I did hear something about her once paying a steak with campaign funds which, considering the squeaky clean practices of every single other campaign in the country, does merit calling in a SWAT team, starting Congressional hearings and, if at all feasible, locking her away in a SuperMax ASAP, so I’ll let you have that one.

But of course! If the Wrinkled Old Whore er, the Old Gray Lady says it’s not going to be that bad for the democrats, it must be true! Remain calm! All is well!

    DJ sarcastically honks:

On the contrary, I am imploring you to vote. Make it a landslide. Golly yes. If I could vote for O’Donnell, I would.

Does this mean you’re going to stop bleating that ridiculously paranoid conspiracy theory about how the U.S Government is just a front for a sinister Global Corporate Oligarchy?
