Finally, Some Genuinely GOOD News!

(With thanks to LC & IB Patterico):

Israel was today poised for its most right-wing government in decades after Binyamin Netanyahu was asked to be the country’s next Prime Minister.

Finally, FINALLY! H’Shem be praised!

As America has lost its mind, it looks like Israel is regaining hers.

In a move that will cause huge disappointment in Washington,

…yet another indication that it’s a Good Thing™.

President Shimon Peres confirmed that he had asked the Likud leader, who finished a close second in the country’s election, to build a coalition.

Giving an acceptance speech that did not mention the stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace process or a two-state solution, Mr Netanyahu instead placed much of his focus on Iran’s enrichment of uranium.

Which, unless you’re a liberal, an idiot or resident Jugears (and oh boy do we repeat ourself!), is a more immediate threat to the continued existence of Eretz Yisroel than a gaggle of filthy, savage, car-swarming subhumans wallowing in their own piggish filth in the terrortories.

Expect wails and lamentations from the Dept. of Spayed about their “broken peace processor.”

The UN announced yesterday that Iran has enriched sufficient uranium to amass a nuclear bomb – a third more than previously thought.

…after years and years of non-reassuring reassurances from that same august body of filthy dictatorships sprinkled with a couple of democracies, headed by their fully-bought-and-paid-for Tehrani stooge, el-Baradei, that Iran was nowhere near getting enough material for a bomb and wouldn’t get there until at the very earliest… 2007 2010 2015 Two-Thousand-and-a-LOT!!!!ONE!1!!

The new administration would also run into immediate conflict with US President Obama who has urged a speeding up of the peace process and has tried to cool hostile rhetoric with Iran.

As always, communist liberals find it exceedingly easy to suggest compromises and concessions as long it is somebody else doing the conceding part. Call it their “international policy variant” of their domestic “we need to increase taxes for the common good” and then promptly turn around and cheat on their own.

“Cool hostile rhetoric with Iran?” Well, it’s not like Iran has ever promised to “wipe Israel off the map” with nukes, regardless of the consequences, is it? So no need to get all in the Mad Mullahs’ faces, right?

Kind of like a certain other somebody suggesting that the Czechs not get all pissy about that whole issue about the Sudetenland. We forget who that was, though.

Go BIBI!

I fully expect, and have tried to prepare, for Israel going after Iran. They won’t fuck around, either. If Israel uses economic leverage against us, via their lobby in DC, so be it. They are fighting to survive and the idea of some left wing pious lamenting and hand wringing over their graves leaves me cold. But the libs are good at that sort of thing. Then, as our economy goes into cardiac arrest at the tripling of oil prices, we will have to make a decision. For the global economy will be gutted. So be it.
Do we stand with our friends or not? Just be careful who you ask, especially now.

Seeing as George Mitchell is the US envoy to the Middle East, there is no doubt you are right. After all, Mitchell’s report on the Arab-Isreali conflict “stressed the need for Israel to halt the expansion of its illegal settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories and for the Palestinians to prevent violence. Contrary to Israeli claims, the report found no evidence that the Palestinian Authority had initiated a campaign of violence.” (From Wiki) And to this day, Mr Mitchell defines himself as “Arab-American”, his mother being Lebanese. I guess just being an AMERICAN is not good enough.

Well, to give credit to Fwance, it WAS their country we were going to fly over :D. However, who is to say so-called prez Obama won’t ask the ME countries to bar Israel from flying over? May not be official, but he can “suggest” it. Officially, he cannot bar Israel in the same manner as Fwance did, but like my grandmother always said, “There are ways around men, even those who hover like eagles.”

“Peace process” my ass. “Peace Process” = Israel crawl off and die.

Damn, I hope Netanyahu does whatever it takes to stop Iran. The Annointed One be damned. I’d love to see the Marxist sewer rat’s reaction to it. Whining to George Sorryass: “But this wasn’t s’posed to happen. You promised I was gonna be The Messiah. I was gonna save the world. You said…..AWWWWW!”

There are more balls in the female contingent of the IDF and a Netanyahu cabinet than in the whole of Washingtom outside the Pentagon. Maybe even there.

I doubt they’ll even tell us before they act. They’d be crazy to do so. There would most certainly be a leak to Iran to try to encourage a fruitful dialogue buy the coward’s “peace”. Bimbo might even use our own military to try to shoot down the Israeli planes.

Well it wouldn’t be the first time Isreal has secretly flown combat missions into Iran, I remember something they did during the 90’s that was just broung to light early this century. I believe their mission then was to take out a Nulcear power plant before it became operational. Now I cant find anything online about it but i remeber watching something about it on the military channel some years back. I wouldnt be surprised one bit if sometime in the next few months Irans Nuclear facility suddenly blows up.

Just wanted to correct myself about Isreal going into Iran. I was Iraq, Pre-Desert Sheild. In 1989 Isreal launched a secret Air Force Mission to destroy an Iraqi Nuclear Power plant. They did so without warning and completely unnoticed. They successfully destroyed the plant and when Dersert Strom kicked off they found the site still as it was when it was destroyed, yellow powder and all. Surprisingly it was still uncleaned until some enviornmental group brought up the fact that u could still use the yellow stuff to make weapons.

“Wiping Israel off the face of the map…” Well, maybe they can do it in a couple of years. But last I heard, Israel had 4 missile boats, and if they have nuke, the country that wipes Israel off the face of the map would likely survive only for only about 1 hour afterwards. If the Israeli navy didn’t, the USN would (Too good a chance to miss, no?)

Unlikely. As much as i would want them to they still have to follow the orders of the Commander In Cheif.
Unfortunately, in a different time i wouldn’t even question you, but with the resident Muslim lover in office i bet he would tie their hands. They’d be ready, he’d be craping his pants hoping they dont disagree with him.

Sadly, it is not as big a deterrent as we would like. The ?Heil HaYam HaYisraeli does have 3 DOLPHIN – class Diesel-Electric/AIP submarines bought from Germany. They have 2 more on order, but like all foreign arms purchases, they cannot depend on them until they are in Israeli hands as European suppliers have a history of reneging at the last minute, especially after being paid. Each can carry 4 POPEYE TURBO extended range cruise missiles with a range of app. 1500 km. [930 miles] with a nuclear warhead. Draw the range circles from desired points of impact, and calculate how you are going to get the launch platforms into position. I have made more than a passing study of the Israeli nuclear deterrent and its options [that is one of the reasons that Rurik agrees with me that I am not a nice person] and I would place more reliance on their land based missile force as the primary strike.

Keep in mind that in strategic nuclear confrontations, in the absence of both a reliable early warning system and an acceptably reliable defensive system against both missile and aircraft borne strikes; the imperative is to be the one to launch a first strike.

And none of these is as dangerous as doing nothing. I would prefer civil war to a military dictatorship because, although I would trust David Petraeus for a time, it sets a very dangerous precedent and…
    who would succeed him?

George Washington was the last and, as far as I know, the only general who surrendered his sword to civil authority at the end of hostilities, even though some had begged him to declare himself king.

George the Third, upon learning of this, said that, “If true, he is the greatest man who ever lived.”

I’m not at all sure we have such men today. And it is not in men but in the rule of law that the Founders said we should place our trust. Re-establish the full force and authority of the Constitution… by whatever means. If that means destroying our domestic enemies, so much the better.
