Courtesy of the magic mulatto Obambi and his gun-grabbing fellow Demonspawn that you 52% morons gleefully elected.

Life in Britain:

A teenager was repeatedly stabbed in front of his 13-year-old brother before dying in his sister’s arms.

Stephen Lewis, 15, was attacked by a gang of youths as he left a charity event aimed at campaigning against youth violence.

The irony… It is KILLING us. Fortunately for us, only in a figurative sense. Poor Stephen was not so lucky. He died as a victim of “sensible gun laws” etc. etc. etc., all aimed at rendering the subjects of the socialist nanny state utterly helpless in the face of vicious predators. And we’re not just talking about their own government here.

Can’t wait to see that happening here too, thanks to the “52’ers”, whom I’d happily execute every single one of right about now.

It would count as self-defense, after all.

Fuckheads.

Wasn’t there a “Twilight Zone” episode where the bride offed hubby with a frozen leg of lamb, and then cooked and fed it to the investigating officers?

I think it was Alfred Hitchcock.

I have good news, and I have bad news. The good news is that Rep. Cliff Stearns(R)Fl. has
    introduced the following legislation:

    (a) In General- Chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 926C the following:
`Sec. 926D. National standard for the carrying of certain concealed firearms by nonresidents

`(a) Notwithstanding any provision of the law of any State or political subdivision thereof, a person who is not prohibited by Federal law from possessing, transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm and is carrying a valid license or permit which is issued by a State and which permits the person to carry a concealed firearm (other than a machinegun or destructive device) may carry in another State a concealed firearm (other than a machinegun or destructive device) that has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce, subject to subsection (b)
    .
`(b)(1) If such other State issues licenses or permits to carry concealed firearms, the person may carry a concealed firearm in the State under the same restrictions which apply to the carrying of a concealed firearm by a person to whom the State has issued such a license or permit.

`(2) If such other State does not issue licenses or permits to carry concealed firearms, the person may not, in the State, carry a concealed firearm in a police station, in a public detention facility, in a courthouse, in a public polling place, at a meeting of a State, county, or municipal governing body, in a school, at a professional or school athletic event not related to firearms, in a portion of an establishment licensed by the State to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, or inside the sterile or passenger area of an airport, except to the extent expressly permitted by State law.’.

Well and good: but before anyone starts their nekkid happy-dance, I have to pour some cold
water down your backs. The above was placed into the Committee on the Judiciary. Any bets on it making it out of there to a vote on the house floor?

    There’s a reason for that.

Actually, I do recall reading some while back (perhaps at The Darwins) about a particularly clueless criminal who did try to rob a gun store – with a couple of patrol cars parked out front and the officers inside with a number of other customers, most of whom were exercising their CCW rights. Oh, but Mish, darling! It doesn’t end there! Have you all seen the 19 page proposal the Brady Center has dropped off in Obambi’s lap?

The file is in .pdf format, so if you can’t read it and can’t load Acrobat right now, here’s basically what it contains:

Contained in this novella of proposed authoritarianism is a veritable cornucopia of all things over which Helmke and Henigan orgasm in unison. It includes proposals to repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, to once again disarm law-abiding citizens in America’s national parks, to once again allow frivolous lawsuits against legitimate businesses for the misdeeds of criminals, to destroy gun shows and get government bureaucrats involved in every transaction that involves guns.

Then, of course, from the oxygen-stealing simians who brought you the gun show “loophole,” I now present the “terror gap.”

They want to ban “assault” weapons (let’s ignore the fact that they have no clue what “assault” weapons actually are – merely any gun that makes Henigan and Helmke shit their pants – or merely… well… any gun).

They want to impose licensing and background checks via government force on any and all employees of stores that sell guns.

In other words… they want to create a gargantuan bureaucracy and get government involved in every aspect of a gun purchase and nearly every aspect of a gun purchaser’s life. They want to treat every person who chooses freedom and their rights as a potential criminal. They want to destroy the concept of a “right,” and subjugate it to government approval, rendering it into something resembling a privilege.

Wait, what? The kid was 15. Fifteen year olds don’t have guns, regardless of how lax gun laws are. The fact that he was stabbed instead of shot should tell you something.

Are you actually saying that this crime would have been more heinous somehow if it was committed with a gun? Are you friggin’ SERIOUS? Oh, and by the way… gun crime has actually RISEN in Britain since guns were banned.

SPIRALLING gun crime is blighting Greater Manchester with more than 3,000 firearms incidents in the last 15 months, the MEN can reveal today.

That video from England is somewhat dated in time… but timeless in its message. Both the march to save foxhunting (Eric Clapton was a strong supporter and avid gunowner) and the Tony Martin persecution (convicted April, 2000) go back a ways. Since then, gun crime has risen even more than the statistics mentioned in the video.

Here’s a quote (edited and with emphases added) from The Independent, UK, 17 January, 2003:

Tony Martin’s lack of remorse over killing means bid for early prison release fails

    By Terri Judd
    Friday, 17 January 2003

Tony Martin, the Norfolk farmer whose trial and conviction became a cause célèbre when he shot and killed a teenage burglar, failed yesterday in his application for early release.

Martin, serving a five-year sentence for manslaughter, was turned down for parole partly because he had refused to show sufficient remorse for killing 16-year-old Fred Barras. But friends insisted that Martin was “a man of principle” who would not “demean” himself by apologising.

Sources close to the 57-year-old farmer said his application had also been turned down after probation officers ruled he was a “danger to burglars” and was out of touch with the 21st century.

The farmer, who lived in a dilapidated house in Emneth, Norfolk, was convicted at Norwich Crown Court in April 2000 of murdering the teenager – as well as wounding his companion Brendon Fearon, 30. His conviction was reduced to manslaughter 19 months later by the Court of Appeal, which cut his sentence to five years.

Iain McMaster, a supporter of Martin, said: “It was on the cards that he would not get parole given that he hadn’t expressed remorse.” Last night his solicitor, James Saunders, said that “if it is a case he refused to say sorry, he is really a victim of his own honesty”.

Mr Saunders said the decision would only reinforce his client’s “bemusement” at the legal system. “On top of everything else one of the burglars [Fearon] is suing him on legal aid,” he added.

Richard Portham, a friend, said: “I spoke to Tony on the telephone on Saturday and he told me he had seen the report. He told me that the Norfolk probation service was recommending a refusal of parole because it considered him a danger to burglars. It is a disgrace that he should be kept in prison for that reason.”

He added: “I suppose the attitude came across that he’d do it again. I am sure Tony would have given the impression that if people were threatening him, he would have no choice but to defend himself.”

Malcolm Starr, who has organised a campaign for Martin’s freedom, continued: “It is a shocking and lamentable ruling. Why the hell should he have to apologise for his actions? Mr Martin is a man of principle and wouldn’t demean himself by saying sorry.”

A spokesman for the Parole Board said last night: “It is a myth that if people don’t express regret for the crime you can’t get parole.”

Showing remorse, she added, was just one of many factors taken into consideration when judging whether a prisoner was rehabilitated. (end quote)

“The bottom line is always safety to the public and if the risk of the person committing another offence while on parole during that period is too high.”

“out of touch with the 21st century….”

That ring a bell with any of you? Sounds like a Badge of Honor to me. Might as well come (try) to get me now, you socialist bastards. I will not live in the country they have so yearn for.
