Speaking of kitties, (the furry ones), the Other Half and I seek to rescue them as best we can. Call it a hobby, an act of compassion, call it anything you believe to be true. Presently we have eight indoor kitties, three of them less than six months old, and soon to be fixed. They are hellraisers, but I laugh my ass off watching the wife use the laser pen, watching the cats climb walls chasing it. Three outdoor strays we feed and show up daily for attention and food. In twenty eight years of marriage we have kept thirty cats, all unwanted or abused, they becoming our fast friends. My guess is, before we pass on, we will have given fifty cats a chance at life free of hunger and abandonment. And as usual, when they get old, asking myself, “You love them enough to keep them, do you love them enough to let them go?” On more than one occasion I have lost my composure watching the plunger traverse the barrel. But friends stay with friends, to the end. We take them home and bury them by the big tree in the backyard. But once I found this…and was enormously touched by it…….

There are those of us that can’t be in a room with a cat without life threatening consequences. Because of this, we have developed a live or die attitude towards same felines. We wish no ill will towards them except that they exists far away from us. At least 6 shot away from us.

LOL! I know, I know, people keep issuing warnings (and I totally get it; believe me, a couple louched shots is enough). I was a big Anne Rice fan; Claudia totally killed those twins with Absinthe and almost fucked Lestat’s shit up. I thought it was poison, but it isn’t – it’s something different is all. They un-prohibited it after a hundred years – I don’t do drugs anymore, but trying something like that had a hell of an appeal. And I tried it and…it was so different. Or maybe I was just drunk and reading things into it. Who knows, I like the mystical appeal and will definitely take it easy – really really easy. Can’t afford otherwise anyway
