Warm Thoughts for the Holidays

With New Year’s Eve fast upon us let your heart be warmed by this story, already noted by Tim Blair.

Group holds fast to Kerry cause with Beacon Hill vigil

The election is long over. A new year is starting, and even most of the more ardent liberals are moving on. But in Louisburg Square this week, one determined group isn’t quite ready to let go. About a half dozen supporters of John Kerry are holding vigil in front of his house, still hoping for a Kerry presidency.

And if more than a half-dozen actually believed in him Kerry might have carried a few more states. But honestly, just knowing that die-hard Kerry supporters are still dumb enough to be standing around in the snow and slush while even their fellow Taxachusites make fun of them is simply priceless. They’re probably the same people who spend every Halloween waiting for the Great Pumpkin, and I think I’ll save their picture and turn it into a nice Christmas ornament. :)

I find it hard to beleive that people can be THAT absorbed in their hatred of a standing president.

Has anyone told these people to get a life? Rent a pr0n movie; don a Richard Nixon mask and some lingerie; fantasize about Castro’s beard. But let it go. It’s not healthy.

I’m sure that if Bush lost, and the Jihadistanis did something, no one would utter one syllable of blame against Kerry.

    Flinking people….

Yes. I have observed that these people do not seem to have the need to earn a living at a real job. With all that time on their hands surely they could dream up something more fun to do.

They took Kerry’s campaign to heart? Apparently bypassing their brains. Reminds me of my neighbors who moved their JoKe sign from their yard to the front door of their house. Said it was their Christmas wreath.

Gore couldn’t accept that he lost and look where it got him. Nutters all.

They will never let it go. They will never let it die. This will be like the 2000 election, except with more whining.

40 freakin years from now, you’ll be hearing how Bush stole the election from people like this. And it will become too much, you’ll snap and start beating them with your walking cane and shouting incoherently.

These are the same kinds of sonsofbitches who have cost the taxpayers of Ohio (of which I happen to be one) 1.5 million dollars so far and who NOW have filed papers asking for ANOTHER FUCKING RECOUNT.

Two third-party presidential candidates asked a federal court Thursday to force a second recount of the Ohio vote, alleging county election boards altered votes and didn’t follow proper procedures in the recount that ended this week.

They can’t just let it go. They’ve had a freaking recount and they just won’t let it go.

Lawyers for Green Party candidate David Cobb and the Libertarian Party’s Michael Badnarik made their request in federal court in Columbus.

I sincerely hope they tell them NO. Just say NO, don’t squander another 1.5 million dollars. This is not fair to Ohio taxpayers. If they want another recount make them pay every last penny of the cost. It shouldn’t cost Ohio taxpayers one damned cent.

The two candidates, who received less than 0.3 percent of the Ohio vote, paid $113,600 for a statewide recount after the vote was certified earlier this month by the secretary of state. They have said they don’t expect to change the election results, but want to make sure that every vote is properly counted.

And recounting when you have no hope of winning and even acknowledge that same fact is not considered a frivolous lawsuit? It’s not considered a waste of taxpayer dollars?

    Dammit, I am PISSED OFF.

Dummies. Don’t they know Monsieur Kerriere isn’t even there? It should be seared in those people’s memories that The Master of the Mekong traditionally spends this time of year on Black Ops. Right now he’s probably up the far reaches of the Euphrates somewhere in Syria. After he blows up a few kids and camels, he’s going to Iraq, where he’s going to meet with military commanders (al-Zarqawi, et al). Then he’s going to hook up again with Ramsey Clark to do what he can to get Saddam out of the fix into which the unilateral, oil-grabbing hegemonists Bush and Cheney put that respected foreign leader.

I’m tired of this recount nonsense too! When will these morons realize that 25,000 votes does not equal the 135,000 votes they’d need to win REGARDLESS of how many times you count them?

It’s like a sad hungry person repeatedly counting their change that just won’t add up to the $0.50 they need to get a snack.

    Oops . . . $0.65 I meant.

    The consumption of alcohol:

may leave you wondering what in the world happened to your bra and panties. (Take note, Natasha!)

may make you think you are whispering when you are not.

is a major factor in dancing like a retard.

may cause you to tell your friends over and over again that you love them.

may cause you to think you can sing.

may lead you to believe that ex-lovers are really dying for you to telephone them at four in the morning.

may make you think you can logically converse with members of the opposite sex without spitting.

may create the illusion that you are tougher, smarter, faster and better looking than everyone else.

may lead you to think people are laughing WITH you.

    You’ve been warned!

    LC Mamapajamas growls and barks:

This is really fascinating :/. You know, if it’s really “all about the voting process, not Bush or Kerry”, then maybe we should go back to revisit the 2000 election.

You know, of course, that the absentee ballots were NEVER COUNTED in strongly Democratic states such as California and New York. The reason was because even if every absentee vote had been for Bush, the total would not have put him over the top in those states. So no one bothered to count them. Gore would still have won the state.

So… there you are. Even though it wouldn’t change the 2000 election results, maybe we should go back and count those absentee ballots anyway. Given that most absentee ballots are used by people who are out of state or country on business or military obligations, those votes could put Bush over the top in the popular vote, forcing the Democrats to shut up forever about the electoral/popular vote issue ;) .

After all, it IS the process that so important to them, isn’t it ;) .

Well, certainly one of the biggest logical flaws in the Leftist thinking (in addition the basic problem of taking biased assumptions as proven fact and then constructing elaborate statistical castles on quicksand) is the failure to see that there would be extremely negative reactions from the side which got both a a clear majority (not just a plurality) of the popular vote AND the electoral victory should they succeed in attacking the election results. Since it looks like only the far fringe of the Dems is buying this particular underwater real estate, though, it looks like our legions of “Reich Whinge” defrocked Klansmen, ex-pat SS men, and militia fanatics can stand down for now.
